  • This video is about my first liver clinic appointment (huge success) and how we're going to treat my (confirmed) AIH. I've had very strong reactions to steroids so we'll be proceeding with Azathioprine only to see if that can put me into remission.

I commented on your biopsy post (will be having that this week) but was happy to see your treatment as my doctor is testing to make certain I can tolerate this medication.

I'm going through the same situation. I know how it feels. Though I live on the other side of the world. Really hoping to get the strength to go through all the treatment. Good luck to you as well 🙏😇

wow thanks for making these videos. I'm still in the stage of thinking its micro colitis and trying steroids but no luck yet. Blood tests were just flagged for autoimmune signs. Are you still dealing with watery BMs? Did you have other symptoms that signaled your liver was in distress? Are you widening your diet?

Sending you lots of care on this journey! My microscopic colitis seems to be under control at present -- the mesalamine and the hyoscyamine together have been great. Actually it was the additional of the hyoscyamine that made all of the difference for me, and I'm on a regular-ish diet now with regular BMs.
We caught the liver 100% by chance -- it showed up in a CBC or CMP (can't remember which) that my GP ran, and then started testing all of the things. Other than fatigue my AIH is asymptomatic, so it really is dumb luck that we found it.
My gastroenterologist (and my hepatologist) are of the mindset that MC *is* an autoimmune disorder, but I know not all docs think that. The budesonide absolutely put me into remission, but as soon as I stopped it I went back into flares.
I really hope you get some answers soon!

@@SarahCarr thanks for replying! Glad that you can enjoy food again without worry! I'll keep following your story. I've been doing what you did with the whole well maybe it's also SIBO so trying to follow that diet in the Hope's it helps. The not knowing really is not a great combo with our anxiety. Hard to relax. Spend most free time looking for more info. You're positive outlook has been inspiring :)

Please use homeopathic treatment which is better and no side effect at all. you will be fine within 4-5 months. Use Chelidonium mother tincture and Carduus Marianus mother tincture with homeopathic doctor's guide. You have to take fat consumption as little as possible.
