At the end of our annual belt promotion ceremony, the black belts usually share a quick message of encouragement or update the team on things to expect over the coming months. This year, we surprised everyone during our closing speeches with Rey's promotion to Black Belt under Professors Robert Peach and Kirby Farrales.
At the same time in Brazil, Master Roberto Godoi promoted 1,900 of our athletes, 100 of which joined Rey in becoming G13 BJJ's newest Black Belts.
