Doc, could you expound further on the impact towards prognosis for an astrocytoma that presents as IDH Mutant + but CDK2NA deleted? I understand that WHO now classifies an astrocytoma that presents as CDK2NA/B Deleted as Grade 4 based on the molecular profile, regardless of how it presents histologically but I am a bit confused about the balance of prognosis between the IDH Mutant status and the CDK2NA status. Thanks in advance.
Thank you so much for your video Dr. I was struggling with this for my Glyomas class. I do have a question, the bibliography that you use for this, will be very helpful. Saludos desde Perú 🇵🇪🫶
My son has a Grade 2 Astrocytoma IDH1 mutation (surgery and dx in May 2022). He is currently doing fairly well. Do they always turn into higher grades?
Although you can never be 100% sure and everyone is different, the sooner you catch cancer the less likely it is to move into later stages. This is not meant to be medical advice

Thank your for your video. What is the difference between Astrocytoma grade 3-4 and Glioblastoma? And why they are not GBM's yet (according to WHO)?
