We use a quill falcon quik blast system, very similar system, absolute labour reducer. We work in the protective marine coatings industry in the uk and our investment in one of these has increased project profits due to speed of preparation.
I have a question about dustless blasting. Do you think we are blind? You keep calling it "dustless", yet the entire area is covered by at least two inches of dust and dirt. And unlike sand-blasting it's glass so it won't mix with the surrounding soil and needs to be professionally cleaned.
Hey Maloy, we call it Dustless Blasting because it suppresses 90% - 95% of the dust. "90ish Percent Dustless Blasting" just doesn't have a good ring to it, and we think it's smart to have the main benefit of the product right in the name. Also, the crushed glass will mix with the surrounding soil exactly like sand will, in fact it is nearly indistinguishable from sand. The recycled glass is actually safer than sand because it contains less than 1% free silica. Blast sand has tons of free silica, which causes silicosis (lung cancer).
