You never cease to amaze me… When I was a kid me and my friend would walk down to the creek and fish and then we caught a crappie and it was on then… It takes me back to my childhood when everything was great and I didn’t have to worry about bills and taking care of my family… I think that’s why fishing is so peaceful to me… Thank you for keeping us entertained and god bless you and your family.

Put in at Hickory Hills boat ramp, off of hey 67. Head towards the river, start fishing the first tree top that you find. There’s crappie in them. Cotaco creek also is one of the best in Morgan county.
Scientific name for a white crappie "Pomoxis annularis" Also a tip from me to the master is to hold you're rod backwards when walking through brush, the tip never gets hung up.

I think there is a crappie creek in every town in the south. I have one less the 5 minutes from the house and have caught thousands.

The creeks that feed into rivers. The river isn't really an advantage, so if they find deep holes and a food source they'll hang around.
