Because people get blown away by the insane vocals (as we should!) I feel their dance and stage presence are often underappreciated. I really tried expanding my kpop journey but the more I watch other groups, the clearer it becomes that Exo is on a different level. They are literal aliens from exoplanet with the super technical but swaggy rap, the very versatile but also precise dance style, the visuals mygod they are all gorgeous where else can you find a group where every single one is a visual?!!! and their natural personalities on and off camera. You dont see them acting up for attention at airports, you dont see them doing the most to catch exposure. Everythung they do without even trying just goes viral and sells out. 😂 Ughhhh I hope we get an exoplanet #6 next year 😭 if not then at least some solo cons round the world pleeeease

There is no MV for “The Eve” but there is a dance practice video and its one of the most popular dance practice videos of EXO. Watch it and you’ll know why 😏 The song in general is one of the most popular b-sides known outside of the fandom. If DO seems familiar to you its because he is just as as known as an actor as he is as a singer. He has won many acting awards and like the rest of EXO, is just madly talented.
One thing that sets EXO apart from the all the rest in the industry, beside them being vocal kings and wonderful human beings and untouchable in live performances and so on and so forth, is their amazing versatile discography. There are songs for everyone and they slay every genre. I am a fan of many great singers but I cannot enjoy listening to more than 2-3 songs one after the other from one singer as the songs begin to sound a bit alike. EXO is the only artist up to now that I can listen to more than 30 songs one after the other and not get bored. Once you get to the guides and also to some solos of the members you’ll be able to learn even more about their individual vocal capabilities that not often get extensively showcased when they sing in a group. One example I can give you is Baekhyun (the guy in the black jacket and white hair) whose vocals in this session don’t show off not even 30% of what he is capable of while he is a multimillion seller as a soloist breaking records twice. He is part of EXO’s main vocal line ( the other two are D.O. and Chen, the guy in white) also known as the vocal trinity and if you listen to a b-side of his titled “All I Got” you’ll understand what I am taking about. That is one of those songs that no one can cover and do it justice. Enjoy your journey with EXO. You are in for a treat.

Hi! EXO-L from Texas. I discovered them through Kdramas-D.O. played a serial killer (convincingly) in a series called “I Remember You/Hello Monster,” so I decided I’d check out what else he’d done and found that he was a member of EXO. The first ever Kpop MV I watched was EXO’s “Don’t Fight The Feeling” in 2021, which was also the year D.O. released his first solo album. Since then, I’ve been hooked on EXO and D.O. along with the other absolutely amazing members and their solos and acting. Definitely check out the song, “Tempo” which sadly was not part of this Killing Voice. Also, EXO has their own mini-Kdrama available on RUclips, called EXO Next Door. It’s super cute!! UPDATE: Oh, you’ve seen “Tempo” already!! Then maybe some solo works-D.O.’s “Rose” and Kai’s “Mmmh” couldn’t be more different, but are both fantastic. Highly recommend!!
'Hello Monster' was my first exposure to actor Doh Kyungsoo as well, although I was already an EXO-L. Amazing performance. He was quite disturbing. If you guys get the chance, watch his movie 'Swing Kids'.

I really enjoyed your reaction. I also discovered Exo this year and fell in love with them. As you can see their discography is huge and it ranges over a number of genres. As a baby Exo-L (Exo's fandom name) you can react to some of their title tracks - Monster, Obsession, Overdose, Mama (debut), Call me baby, Growl, Love me right, Lotto, Ko ko bop, Power. As you like r&b you must check out 'What is love' which is their pre-debut single. If you like ballads then you can react to their winter albums - Miracles in December, Sing for you, Universe and For Life. And then there are 100s of their b-sides that are all title track worthy!! The guy wearing white in the center that you're referring to: his name is CHEN (Kim Jongdae), and hes known to be one of the best vocalists kpop has ever seen in its history. So yes, you are correct on your analysis of him. He hasn't sung a wrong note in his life😂

Chen is not only a powerful vocalist highnote king his low range is so good ,his soft emotional voice is the best. He is a great story teller,his every song scream of sincerity of him.
EXO have 3 main vocalist. D.O., Chen(middle) and Baekhyun(black blazer). Killing voice only showcased most of their popular songs. So the capacity of their vocals is not even fully shown here.
To think they didn't even show anywhere near all of what they can do (especially D.O., Baekhyun and Chanyeol) yet they still showed a lot more than almost any other group out there.

The "beautiful" "bias wrecker" that "has never sang a wrong note in his life" (I'm quoting you guys 😆) is Chen (real name Kim Jongdae) aka the vocal king of kpop. Congrats on having taste! He has 4 solo mini albums, and the most recent of those just dropped over a month ago. It's called "Polaris" and it's Chen's Japanese debut album. You guys should check out the title track "Love of my Life," which also has an MV. It's a song about finding one's own inner guiding light and strength. The song's genre is rock ballad. The other genres in the album include rock, blues and pop. If you have time, I think you should react to the entire Polaris album (6 songs) to get a true look at Chen's range (vocal range and genre range) and vocal mastery.
@@alongfortheridereacts yes please. in exo high and difficult notes are always assigned to him but when you dig deep on his solo albums, his range and artistry def shows as he has more musical freedom in it and can explore diff genres. exo ls weakness is ROCKdae (rocker jongdae as it is once in a blue moon esp before but hes definitely a rockstar 😭 in his polaris album, we were fed 😂❤)
the problem about exo is, everytime i got a taste of their live performances of a certain song, i find it hard to go back to the studio versions...idk why but this is my problem. their lives are so good. even better than studio. i'm glad they always make sure to release live albums out of their tours.
I will never tire of Exo vocals. I really hope they do another Killing Voice as many, many, many great tracks did not make it to this performance. D.O(5'8). does look tiny next to Chanyeol (6'1) That being said, D.O is still 6.5 inches taller than me. Lol
D.O is 1,73 and Chanyeol is 1,87 in metric. Between D.O, Suho, Chen, Xiumin and BaekHyun there are only millimeters of difference. Lay is 1,76, Kai is 1,82 and Sehun 1,83 (or 1,84 depending the source) for what we know. Only Chanyeol's height was officially acknowledged by the military. They said he joined with 1,86 and finished with 1,87 😂
This Killing Voice performance, as the title indicates, is supposed to showcase EXO's outstanding vocals, so what you are hearing is a compilation of some of the best parts of their songs that highlight their vocal abilities. They debuted more than 11 years ago, so they have a lot of songs. You are only hearing a small fraction of them and only a few lines of each of the songs (And in some cases, they are singing lines from the middle of the song, so it may sound different when you listen to the actual song. Plus, in this performance they are missing two members, so some of their parts in these songs were different than the original versions because they had to cover for the members who were unable to participate in this program.) As you can see and hear, this is a LIVE performance with 100% live vocals. SM Entertainment -- which is the company that founded the Kpop industry and is one of the largest and most influential entertainment companies in Korea -- is known for having some of the best singers in the Kpop. You can't be an SM artist without being an amazing singer. So even the company's rappers receive intense vocal training. (Just look at EXO's Chanyeol on the far left and Sehun on the far right, who are both main rappers, and, yet, they each have amazing singing voices. How often do you see rappers that can sing as well as them?) All of SM's rappers could even fill in as main vocalists in their groups. That is why the company has gained the reputation as the vocal powerhouse of the industry. And what you are hearing is why EXO are nicknamed "the vocal kings of Kpop". Another thing SM's artists and groups are known for is for being top tier when it comes to live vocals and perfect harmonies. SM artists are recognized for the fact that they all can sing live while performing intense choreography for hours in concert and still sound flawless the whole time. The company is known for having artists and groups who sound even better live than they do on their studio recordings, so that's why you really need to watch SM's and EXO's concert performances, because the songs are on a whole other level when they are live. EXO is currently a 9-member group, however, there are only 7 members in this performance. From left to right: Chanyeol (main rapper and lead vocal), D.O. It was even one of the theme songs for the 2018 Winter Olympics. I mean it's one of the most covered songs by trainee groups and you can see and hear it being performed by people all over the place. "Growl" is the song that EXO are most known for. "Sing For You" came out in 2015 and it is literally, as the title says, EXO singing to EXO-L. This song has an MV and it's all part of EXO's storyline. This song was released after 3 of their Chinese members left the group, so it's also a promise and apology song to EXO-Ls. As you just saw, "Miracles in December" is a song that is only sung by EXO's three main vocalists, Chen, Baekhyun and D.O. However, you will see all the EXO members in the MV because it tells another part of EXO's story. There is no MV for "The Eve" because it's a B-side track. However, it's the B-side song that they promoted with, along with their lead track "Ko Ko Bop," so they have a dance practice video for the song you will have to check out. "The Eve" is one of their most iconic songs and performances. As the English lines in "Monster" say ... They're "Creeping, Creeping, Creeping .... Creeping in your heart babe" "You can call me Monster (because) I'm creeping in your heart babe." "She got me goin' crazy." The song's called "Monster," so the words are about acting like a monster: "Don't be afraid, love is the way ... I'm sorry, you make me sooo craaaazzzy, you know you dooooo." The song is about how they know they are bad for the person that they are in a relationship with, and they will most likely ruin them if that person stays with them. In the song, they are talking about how, I know that when we are over that I will have destroyed everything that is good about you, but I don't care because I want you so much that it doesn't matter to me. Therefore, it's good that "you can call me monster" because they are being straight forward and warning you from the very beginning, so you can't say you were blindsided by their actions. "The First Snow" is a B-side song on one of their winter albums. The song is about the magic of the first snowfall of the season and how it's the perfect atmosphere to fall in love. This song is so popular that you can hear it being played all over the place in Korea on the first day it snows, and it's pretty much considered a winter anthem that gets played nonstop all season long, especially around the holidays. EXO's "Power" was also used as one of the theme songs, along with their song "Growl," during the 2018 winter Olympics. EXO even performed both songs during the closing ceremony. As "the nation's boy group," EXO was the only Kpop group to be selected to perform at the Olympics. If you like the sound of "Power" in this video, just wait until you see their live concert performance of the remixed version of the song. I'm a D.O. bias but my heart fluttered when you guys said that the guy in white shirt (Chen) seems like there's not a single flaw in his voice because its true. Chen is listed as one of the top singers of kpop, he's almost the face of kpop cause his voice is so damn clean and loud with a high technique. Noticed how unlike other members Chen is standing really far away from his mike? Cause poor guy has so low it down so much as to not overshadow his members.
EXO are dubbed the kings of K-pop and vocal Kings of K-pop and also Emperors of K-pop they are a group who can do everything that's why they have one of the best music discography in K-pop. The song Call Me Baby if so good because legendary producer Teddy Riley wrote the song who produced song for Michael Jackson and so many other great artists. People wanting him to be kicked out of the group, to protesting in front of his company (which was a huge fail and not many showed up), to staying completely silent when introduced during performamces. There was one performance that brought tears to my eyes. I believe it was earlier this year. You could see that sadness in Chens eyes because of the almost silent response when introduced. However, one fan can be heard screaming that they loved him and his smile could blind someone with how bright it was. On another v live he did a fan mentioned how fortunate his kids where and what a great dad he was and again,, you could feel the happiness jumping off of Chen.. But the support from family, members, and real fans helped. KPOP has so many things I love, but it also has some things that I hate.

I' ve always thought that my fangirling time was over almost two decades ago... But when I discovered EXO in 2019 all restarted again XD My two fav ones are Chen (the man in white in the middle) and D.O (the second one from left). I usually say that Chen is like "The places where I want to go"... He really takes me away with his voice and soul. Once you Exo you don’t Exo out, get ready to have high standards for other groups as well. One reason Exo is so good with vocals is they practice vocals while on treadmills so they can be stable while dancing. After the guide or before, you should also watch Exo is family part 1 and Exo-l’s are Exo family part 2. It shows what they went through, and boy did they struggle with stuff and how close the fans are to the group and vise verse (I mean one of the members told a fan to clean her room on a zoom call😂)

Exo might be the best male idol vocalists. The only other serious contenders would be other artists under the same label. SM entertainment groups are very vocal driven. No one is expecting the choreography or production to carry them, they have to sing. And the members of the group that can't sing well, learn.
Talent is magnetic! There's something about seeing people at the very top of their game that makes everything else about them so much more enjoyable. EXO are very clearly at the top of this industry - I've never heard such strong and stable vocals across a whole group like this

Most people would say that some sh*t from MCU has taken to KPop or just "these dudes just lost crazy" But now, almost every KPop group try to do that crazy stuff Even some of their music really made sense 3-4 years after release. Because people get blown away by the insane vocals (as we should!) I feel their dance and stage presence are often underappreciated. I really tried expanding my kpop journey but the more I watch other groups, the clearer it becomes that Exo is on a different level. They are literal aliens from exoplanet with the super technical but swaggy rap, the very versatile but also precise dance style, the visuals mygod they are all gorgeous where else can you find a group where every single one is a visual?!!! and their natural personalities on and off camera. You dont see them acting up for attention at airports, you dont see them doing the most to catch exposure. One thing that sets EXO apart from the all the rest in the industry, beside them being vocal kings and wonderful human beings and untouchable in live performances and so on and so forth, is their amazing versatile discography. There are songs for everyone and they slay every genre. I am a fan of many great singers but I cannot enjoy listening to more than 2-3 songs one after the other from one singer as the songs begin to sound a bit alike. EXO is the only artist up to now that I can listen to more than 30 songs one after the other and not get bored. Once you get to the guides and also to some solos of the members you’ll be able to learn even more about their individual vocal capabilities that not often get extensively showcased when they sing in a group. One example I can give you is Baekhyun (the guy in the black jacket and white hair) whose vocals in this session don’t show off not even 30% of what he is capable of while he is a multimillion seller as a soloist breaking records twice. He is part of EXO’s main vocal line ( the other two are D.O. and Chen, the guy in white) also known as the vocal trinity and if you listen to a b-side of his titled “All I Got” you’ll understand what I am taking about. That is one of those songs that no one can cover and do it justice. Enjoy your journey with EXO. You are in for a treat.

I discovered them through Kdramas-D.O. played a serial killer (convincingly) in a series called “I Remember You/Hello Monster,” so I decided I’d check out what else he’d done and found that he was a member of EXO. The first ever Kpop MV I watched was EXO’s “Don’t Fight The Feeling” in 2021, which was also the year D.O. released his first solo album. The "beautiful" "bias wrecker" that "has never sang a wrong note in his life" (I'm quoting you guys 😆) is Chen (real name Kim Jongdae) aka the vocal king of kpop. Congrats on having taste! He has 4 solo mini albums, and the most recent of those just dropped over a month ago. It's called "Polaris" and it's Chen's Japanese debut album. You guys should check out the title track "Love of my Life," which also has an MV. It's a song about finding one's own inner guiding light and strength. The song's genre is rock ballad. The other genres in the album include rock, blues and pop. If you have time, I think you should react to the entire Polaris album (6 songs) to get a true look at Chen's range (vocal range and genre range) and vocal mastery.

@@alongfortheridereacts yes please. in exo high and difficult notes are always assigned to him but when you dig deep on his solo albums, his range and artistry def shows as he has more musical freedom in it and can explore diff genres. exo ls weakness is ROCKdae (rocker jongdae as it is once in a blue moon esp before but hes definitely a rockstar 😭 in his polaris album, we were fed 😂❤)
the problem about exo is, everytime i got a taste of their live performances of a certain song, i find it hard to go back to the studio versions...idk why but this is my problem. their lives are so good. even better than studio. i'm glad they always make sure to release live albums out of their tours.

D.O. is the same height as the next 3 members to his left, but yes, being next to Chanyeol makes him look tiny, lol.
D.O is 1,73 and Chanyeol is 1,87 in metric. Between D.O, Suho, Chen, Xiumin and BaekHyun there are only millimeters of difference. Lay is 1,76, Kai is 1,82 and Sehun 1,83 (or 1,84 depending the source) for what we know. Only Chanyeol's height was officially acknowledged by the military. They said he joined with 1,86 and finished with 1,87 😂

This Killing Voice performance, as the title indicates, is supposed to showcase EXO's outstanding vocals, so what you are hearing is a compilation of some of the best parts of their songs that highlight their vocal abilities. They debuted more than 11 years ago, so they have a lot of songs. You are only hearing a small fraction of them and only a few lines of each of the songs (And in some cases, they are singing lines from the middle of the song, so it may sound different when you listen to the actual song. Plus, in this performance they are missing two members, so some of their parts in these songs were different than the original versions because they had to cover for the members who were unable to participate in this program.) As you can see and hear, this is a LIVE performance with 100% live vocals.
SM Entertainment -- which is the company that founded the Kpop industry and is one of the largest and most influential entertainment companies in Korea -- is known for having some of the best singers in the Kpop. You can't be an SM artist without being an amazing singer. So even the company's rappers receive intense vocal training. (Just look at EXO's Chanyeol on the far left and Sehun on the far right, who are both main rappers, and, yet, they each have amazing singing voices. How often do you see rappers that can sing as well as them?) All of SM's rappers could even fill in as main vocalists in their groups. That is why the company has gained the reputation as the vocal powerhouse of the industry. And what you are hearing is why EXO are nicknamed "the vocal kings of Kpop".
Another thing SM's artists and groups are known for is for being top tier when it comes to live vocals and perfect harmonies. SM artists are recognized for the fact that they all can sing live while performing intense choreography for hours in concert and still sound flawless the whole time. The company is known for having artists and groups who sound even better live than they do on their studio recordings, so that's why you really need to watch SM's and EXO's concert performances, because the songs are on a whole other level when they are live.
EXO is currently a 9-member group, however, there are only 7 members in this performance. From left to right: Chanyeol (main rapper and lead vocal), D.O. (main vocal), Suho (leader and lead vocal), Chen (main vocal), Xiumin (lead vocal, sub-rapper, and dancer), Baekhyun (main vocal) and Sehun (main rapper and main dancer). The two members who are missing are: Kai (main dancer, lead vocal and sub-rapper), who is on hiatus right now because he joined the military May 2023, and will be away for the next 18 months; and Lay (main dancer, lead vocal and rapper), EXO's Chinese member, who is busy with solo activities in China.

If you look up the lyrics for "Growl," you will see they are pretty much acting like a wolf or beast that can no longer control themselves around the girl, and they are warning her to be careful because all she does is make them want to growl and grab her and possess her, etc. "I’m warning you just in case (listen carefully)

"Growl" is literally the song that skyrocketed EXO into superstardom and it's now considered one of Korea's national anthems, if you have been a part of Kpop for any amount of time you have to know this song because it's part of Kpop culture and it is used everywhere. It was even one of the theme songs for the 2018 Winter Olympics. I mean it's one of the most covered songs by trainee groups and you can see and hear it being performed by people all over the place. "Growl" is the song that EXO are most known for.
"Sing For You" came out in 2015 and it is literally, as the title says, EXO singing to EXO-L. This song has an MV and it's all part of EXO's storyline. This song was released after 3 of their Chinese members left the group, so it's also a promise and apology song to EXO-Ls.
As you just saw, "Miracles in December" is a song that is only sung by EXO's three main vocalists, Chen, Baekhyun and D.O. However, you will see all the EXO members in the MV because it tells another part of EXO's story.
There is no MV for "The Eve" because it's a B-side track. However, it's the B-side song that they promoted with, along with their lead track "Ko Ko Bop," so they have a dance practice video for the song you will have to check out. "The Eve" is one of their most iconic songs and performances.
As the English lines in "Monster" say ... They're "Creeping, Creeping, Creeping .... Creeping in your heart babe" "You can call me Monster (because) I'm creeping in your heart babe." "She got me goin' crazy." The song's called "Monster," so the words are about acting like a monster: "Don't be afraid, love is the way ... I'm sorry, you make me sooo craaaazzzy, you know you dooooo." The song is about how they know they are bad for the person that they are in a relationship with, and they will most likely ruin them if that person stays with them. In the song, they are talking about how, I know that when we are over that I will have destroyed everything that is good about you, but I don't care because I want you so much that it doesn't matter to me. Therefore, it's good that "you can call me monster" because they are being straight forward and warning you from the very beginning, so you can't say you were blindsided by their actions.
"The First Snow" is a B-side song on one of their winter albums. The song is about the magic of the first snowfall of the season and how it's the perfect atmosphere to fall in love. This song is so popular that you can hear it being played all over the place in Korea on the first day it snows, and it's pretty much considered a winter anthem that gets played nonstop all season long, especially around the holidays.
EXO's "Power" was also used as one of the theme songs, along with their song "Growl," during the 2018 winter Olympics. EXO even performed both songs during the closing ceremony. As "the nation's boy group," EXO was the only Kpop group to be selected to perform at the Olympics. If you like the sound of "Power" in this video, just wait until you see their live concert performance of the remixed version of the song. You should check out their "Diamond" + "Coming Over" + "Run This" + "Drop That" + "Power" set at their EXOPLANET #4 The ElyXiOn in Seoul in 2017.
"Cream Soda" is their most recent song that was just released in July, and the whole reason why they were on Dingo's Killing Voice was to promote this song and album, which is why the performed the whole song.

I'm a D.O. bias but my heart fluttered when you guys said that the guy in white shirt (Chen) seems like there's not a single flaw in his voice because its true. Chen is listed as one of the top singers of kpop, he's almost the face of kpop cause his voice is so damn clean and loud with a high technique. Noticed how unlike other members Chen is standing really far away from his mike? Cause poor guy has so low it down so much as to not overshadow his members.
I genuinely can't believe how strong and stable his voice is. A true talent
EXO are dubbed the kings of K-pop and vocal Kings of K-pop and also Emperors of K-pop they are a group who can do everything that's why they have one of the best music discography in K-pop. The song Call Me Baby if so good because legendary producer Teddy Riley wrote the song who produced song for Michael Jackson and so many other great artists. All of these songs you are hearing are hit songs from over the years and EXO still making hits

People wanting him to be kicked out of the group, to protesting in front of his company (which was a huge fail and not many showed up), to staying completely silent when introduced during performamces. There was one performance that brought tears to my eyes. I believe it was earlier this year. You could see that sadness in Chens eyes because of the almost silent response when introduced. However, one fan can be heard screaming that they loved him and his smile could blind someone with how bright it was. On another v live he did a fan mentioned how fortunate his kids where and what a great dad he was and again,, you could feel the happiness jumping off of Chen.. But the support from family, members, and real fans helped. KPOP has so many things I love, but it also has some things that I hate.
The Sehun comments are so funny 😂. And I love that EXO, 11 years after debut, is still gaining so many fans. Just followed you guys. I'm a multifandom fan so I'll probably like most of the kpop reactions. But my top 2 favorites are EXO and Seventeen.

I usually say that Chen is like "The places where I want to go"... He really takes me away with his voice and soul.

Once you Exo you don’t Exo out, get ready to have high standards for other groups as well. One reason Exo is so good with vocals is they practice vocals while on treadmills so they can be stable while dancing.
After the guide or before, you should also watch Exo is family part 1 and Exo-l’s are Exo family part 2. It shows what they went through, and boy did they struggle with stuff and how close the fans are to the group and vise verse (I mean one of the members told a fan to clean her room on a zoom call😂)

They fandom called exo-L (form in aug. 2015, i forgot the day but in yr they celebrate that)
And also they rich or wealth group in hole korea (i mean the net worth)
And also they have record breaker that cant breaker of other kpop and that is they fastest sold out kpop group in hole korean industry (idk which concert hold that record but they have 0.4 second concert sold out and 0.2 second)

Exo might be the best male idol vocalists. The only other serious contenders would be other artists under the same label. SM entertainment groups are very vocal driven. No one is expecting the choreography or production to carry them, they have to sing. And the members of the group that can't sing well, learn.

Talent is magnetic! There's something about seeing people at the very top of their game that makes everything else about them so much more enjoyable. EXO are very clearly at the top of this industry - I've never heard such strong and stable vocals across a whole group like this

Just think about this. In 2012, out of nowhere, 12 vocalists were saying they were aliens from some imaginary planet that needed to take a battle with some dark entity and share their storyline in a musical format. Most people would say that some sh*t from MCU has taken to KPop or just "these dudes just lost crazy"
But now, almost every KPop group try to do that crazy stuff
Even some of their music really made sense 3-4 years after release. You can look at MAMA's lyrics and clearly, people from 2020 have more related to that topic than their released time in 2012
And I love the parallel between MAMA (EXO) almost directly represented in Dystopia Trilogy from Dreamcatcher

Concert of 66,000 sold out in .2 seconds The whole concert is there but go to the video that says Diamond. They give their fans 150% for the whole concert
Every time I hear that they sold out in 0.2 seconds I try and count how long that is. It's so unbelievably impressive, but not surprising given how talented they are
