Entire show is something special, big ups to the band and as well as anyone else who had a hand in video/sound. Just one thing... "Closer?" What happened? "Blue Sky" w/ vocal harmony coda into "Closer" w/ ooey-gooey, psych-out cream-filling is such a premium live show experience. I know, I've been watching "Sky" evolve on the road for 20+ years (the Yo La Tengo tag-on was another favorite I felt lucky to have heard). And since this take on "Sky" had that ooey-gooey, psych-out, deconstructed solo w drum-kit splatter part, I'm assuming the whole band must have just exploded into purple and green vapor during the "Closer" psych-out. That seems like something I might want to Czech, that's all Im trying to say. The nternet just wasn't ready, huh? Real humanitarians, you Coils.
Sorry..not crazy about this "live" version. Sounded like the drummer was "in a hurry" and "choppy"..ruined a groove that was on the studio version. Ian still rocks!
