What year is this? Saw him in No Ca in early 2000s, small venue, and small crowd. One of most memorable performances, up close and personal. He’s the real deal. Sadly miss these days.
If only all the music here was this good. Austin is known as the live music capital of the world. I grew up an hour from Memphis so I can so that is total bullshit. Austin should be known as the shitty live music capital of the world.
the day he stopped paying the blues was one of the saddest musical days of my life. I way him 4 times back then and he truly had the full package, something that both Kenny Wayne and Johnny Lang didn't have…and I'm a huge KWS fan. Trust me, Kenny would kill for Ian's throat.
I agree Bryan, when I saw him doing acoustic folk songs I hoped he would get back but it never happened. He and that band were so tight. I hold Texas blues guitarists in a separate class. I also think Jonny Lang has the stuff too, he may have sold out with newer albums, I don't know, I DO know John Mayer sucks!
Definitely underated. I've been playing guitar for 30 years and know what's what. Ian has a very unique totally original style. Its sophisticated, technically precise, and dripping with soul. His name deserves to be up there with the greats. I never get tired of listening to his stuff, especially these old bootlegs when he was on top of his game.
From a guitarist's standpoint, I have two "telestrats" like Ian's (strat body/tele neck) & I gotta say, once you get thru the initial setting up, they play like the best of both worlds... Thanks to Ian for turning me on to this idea!
Im just getting re-acquainted with this man after a a 20+ hiatus and forgotten just how much I dug this guy and still do , I was ok in my day but wished I had this guys pipes and fingers many timesw our vocal styles are similar but i couldn't hold a candle to this guy
I've been rooting for Ian for a decade now. And for the most part, I don't like what he's been doing. He got Texas blues early on, probably in his mother's milk. The sad thing is that even Trent Reznor makes more authentic soul music than Ian does. Ian's real genius is old British invasion stuff. I wish he'd give himself permission to quit imitating his heroes and start pursuing what he really does well.
Sure miss those days
KILLER song!!
You will rarely see a guy in the zone like he was at this time.
Very nice, Thx for posting this vintage Ian Classic!
oh lawd, at risk of sounding cliche, I doooo miss Mr Moore's blues! that voice, those riffs...inspiring to say the least

this from a bald guy with hair cutting tips on his youtube channel and terrible, I mean terrible, music choices. Bet you miss boy bands.

I saw him open up for Blind Melon back in '91 an he opened up for Ted Nugent in '92, one of the most underrated guitar player ever!

What the fuck did Nugent have in 92 that required an opening act?
@@msolar1041 good point 🤣
Damn that was before he even had an album out that happened in “93”….
This was and always will be the best band Ian ever had..they just jelled like no other I’ve seen him with 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Agreed from another guitarist great innovation, and always Ian’s tone and phrasing is ridiculous , he is another Texas gunslinger 🤘🎸
Wow, already been a year! I must update my previous comment then. Found out Ian's guitar is a strat with an esquire neck.

I'm so on the fence between him and SRV. I saw Ian Moore at Cole Park in Corpus and it blew my mind.
Glad to see someone who rates him w/ my hero SRV.
Love this great voice and tele strat! Bring my woman set her right by my side.....ahh yeah!
Classic song, classic Ian Moore on top of it.
Fucking awesome!
God he's so good!
SRV with beautiful vocals. JS

PURE GREATNESS!
@begrackled It's a shame that Ian is able to evolve. Too many people hangin on to the past!
Perfection.

Not anymore!! He's been playing again lately.
any you cats out there could enlighten me what a reefer is?
That is Cannabis. Mary Jane, Marihuana, Gras, THC, Weed, are other names for it.
It is a semi truck trailer with a portable cooler so stuff like Ice cream can be shipped across country.
where is this filmed
Steamboat on 6th street. Austin TX
