    Thank you for the authentic recipe. I have made teriyaki salmon with a similar mix, but the preparation of the salmon and the coating of the sauce in the pan is new. Made a huge difference in my outcome. I'll definitely make teriyaki this way from now on.

    Pleased to learn in your other video that one can replace sake just with water.

    What kind of sake did you use?

      Drinking sake that is less than $8 or so. :)

    Is there any way to keep the skin crispy? It always becomes soggy for me once I add the sauce :(

    • @justonecookbook
      @justonecookbook  Год назад +1

      Sauce brings moisture so if you really want it to be crispy like chips, I’d probably remove it (it comes off easily) after cooking the fish and before putting back to the sauce. You can further crisping by putting in the oven toaster etc… I love crispy skin too, but I’d cook different dish (like salted salmon, recipe on my website).

    I tried this, it was pretty tasty but to be honest the amount of butter and sugar made it more like a dessert - I think I need to find a rather lighter version to cook on a regular basis or my heart and waistline are going to suffer badly.

      Thank you for trying my recipe! I'm sorry to hear that it was too sweet for your taste. Teriyaki sauce is typically made with this combination, so I hope you adjust the amount to achieve the perfect balance of the sauce for your taste and keep the recipe. Happy cooking! 🫶🏻
