Hell is REAL Repent of your sins and turn to God. He loves you. Believe in his Son Jesus and you'll be saved. RUclips: 30 Days Touring HELL
Uncle Buck is my blueprint for being an uncle. Every kid needs an Uncle Buck in their lives
This was one of my Father’s fave movies. He especially loved Buck’s car. My sister and I shared a used diesel Oldsmobile to drive to school. It would smoke and let out a huge bang each time after starting. We’d wait until everyone from school was gone before we’d attempt to depart. We cried to my parents how embarrassing it was to be seen in that car. Once my dad saw this movie it just added fuel to the fire. He thought it was hilarious. My mother finally put her foot down when we started driving long distance to Chicago after graduating HS. I laugh about it now and it did make me appreciate every car I’ve owned and taken care of them as if they were new. My dad was a commercial airline Pilot for over 35 years. He prob could’ve spoiled us and bought us new cars and raised a couple girls with rotten attitudes like the girl in the movie. Great movie!!!

I have a 10 yr old. And I think about not going over the top with the things we buy him. I can't control what grandma does with gifts but oh well. It's nice to know you turned out to appreciate things. Thanks for sharing. 😊
Growing up, I had an Uncle Buck, my Uncle John. He had just gotten out of HUTCHISON STATE PENATENTURY, in Kansas. He taught me how not to be a Bully; How to be polite, with my head held up high; and how to stand up for those who needed a true friend! Uncle John was my UNCLE BUCK!!!!!
Can't get enough of Uncle Buck ;) ThanX for a fun reaction :) The 'thing' you thought was a camera attached to the steering wheel @52:05 was known as a 'brodie/brody Knob' where I grew up back in the 70's and 80's .
Summer Rental, Great Outdoors, Harry Crumb, Planes,,Trains and Automobiles......so many John Candy classics
Summer Rental, imho, is Candy's best work. A favorite of mine❤️
@@dolphinbear661 can't argue.....
The thing on the steering wheel was a handle. It spins and makes it so you can easily turn with one hand. The reason you didn't see it at one point is because the steering wheel was in a different position.
It used to be called a "neckers nob". Was pretty standard equipment on old farm tractors.
Back in the 1970's & 80's we knew them as 'brodie/brody Knobs' ;). Where I grew up they were usually frowned on by law when attached to your steering wheel driving in city limits , but not if you lived and drove out in rural areas.
I love my sister's kids and being an Uncle. I would die for them.
When’s she’s complaining about the Chinese take out I’m like “Bitch that was like the highlight of my day when mom got take out after school”
ADogg reminded of one of those “tell your mom shut up videos”. He is like
One of those dads. He makes me laugh
"Do you think she hates me?"
"With a passion."
"Really? Do you think it's the hat?"
"No."
"No? A lot of people hate this hat. It angers a lot of people, just the sight of it. Ah, I'll tell you a story about that on the way to school."
Fun Fact: Despite their characters not getting along for the majority of the film, off-camera Jean Louisa Kelly got along very well with John Candy and said she was honored to work with someone she considered a legend.
Culkin Candy Fact: This the first of 3 movies Macaulay Culkin and John Candy would star in together. The others being Home Alone (1990) where they had no screen time together and Only The Lonely (1991) where Culkin only had a small cameo.
Location Location Fact: Almost every set was built in a local high school gymnasium, including the two-story Russell house.
"Only The Lonely" great movie! One of my favorite romantic movies, and I'm a dude.
Hi Antoinette ! Being a lifelong movie lover, I was really happy to see you guys created a separate channel for movie reviews ! I have seen thousands in my day.
Hell is REAL Repent of your sins and turn to God. He loves you. Believe in his Son Jesus and you'll be saved. RUclips: 30 Days Touring HELL
I loved this reaction 😁 I remember this movie from my childhood and John Candy is a OG Legend. I just found this channel and am subscribing. You both are funny as hell and I look forward to more from you. BTW Antoinette's laugh is so contagious, she had me cracking up.. 😂😂 Hello from Australia 🇦🇺
The thing on the steering wheel is called a spinner. It is a knob clamped onto the steering wheel. It is used to turn the steering wheel real fast. It makes it easier to park the car and other manuvears. It became illegal to use. My mom used one when learning to drive. But when she took her driver's test the teacher said she could not use it. It was considered cheating because it helps to park. It is not a compass. How can you use it when the steering wheel is going in a circle.
It's called a suicide knob. Haha.
I just bought and installed mine because i just had surgery on my wrist - and my left hand is worthless. I'm thankful i remembered it cause it's been a godsend
So the kissing scene in the beginning. I only know about this because I was JUST old enough to hear people talking about it still when I was in school, but in the 80s we JUST started bringing certain parts of European culture over to the states, including the cheek kiss greeting, and a lot of well off people started doing it, so the less well off people assumed ALL well off people did it. Buck assumed his brother and wife did it because, to him, they were well off, despite them being just above middle class.
Loved this movie! Just found your movie channel on my algorithm and subbed 😊 Please do more movies. Love you two!❤
Hi guys - That thing on the steering wheel is called a Brodie knob - illegal in most states - it allows you to turn the car really fast - you kids are really wonderful and I enjoy your company always
I love your thought that Uncle buck would make a great killer. When he had the drill and turned off the lights, l laughed so hard. All l could think was, Yes He Would.
I love that scene when Buck contemplating about going or not going to the race track. Cause they show and don't tell, they used the acting to tell what the characters where thinking.
Also my favorite scene is the Clown scene. Made me laugh as a kid all the time. Idk why my parents let me watch this at 11 years old.
You like movies about crazy uncles...? Yall should watch Second Hand Lion Robert Duvall, Michel Caine, Haley Joel Osmond. The sixth sense kid. Great movie.
God Bless yall
✌️✌️ & ❤❤
I am the uncle buck in my family. I was teaching my nephew how to use throwing knives in the driveway when his older sister's first date showed up.
Great reaction guys the part that got me the most is the folded up picture of Bach at their marriage😢
Buck's girlfriend is also in A FIELD OF DREAMS...
"I'm bustin my hump. I'm earning my keep." Great watching with you both. Peace, all 💕
Had alot of fun with you both!!!
This is one of the hands down feel good movie. Next try TRAINS, PLANES AND AUTOMOBILES. Staring Steve Martin and John Candy. Funny and heart warming.
Anything john candy is in, is always great. Just an actor that you got to love.
Happy Easter, Y'all! Don't have time rn, but me & hubby will be watching this later together. This is a great movie, we lost a great one when Candy died.
thanks dolphinbear and dont forget that u can watch our full reaction to this on patreon if u would like to sign up
Came back to say this was so fun to re-watch with you two! Jaws next, 💪😁
Imagine having a car back fire today at a school. How long till surrounded by cops. Lol
My mom and dad were in bowling league...been there many times!!!!!
Little boy was in HOME QLONE
Little girl is in FIELD OF DREAMS😍😍😍
Also Chanice was in Field Of Dreams too
What a great reaction you both had me cracking up!!
The thing on the steering wheel is a little spinning knob. I have a 77 El Camino and working the wheel is a lot different than todays.
I've always thought the final shot of Uncle Buck was the best photo of the man John Candy, it just catches the essence of Mr Candy perfectly. Of the hundred, at least, times I've watched this, I never caught the wedding ring in that shot. Thank you for pointing that out.
"The Vast of Night" (2019) hasn't been done much. Interesting look at small town life in 1959 as a backdrop to an eerie tale during one evening. Even some real talk by example about 1940s-1950s race relations and military service.
The thing on the steering wheel is a knob. It makes it easier to make hard turns with one hand. You grab and spin the wheel around easily
No guys... your wedding ring goes on your LEFT hand~he's using his RIGHT hand. We just see it on the left side of the screen. We're looking at him that way. It's a reverse image FROM the perspective as if WE'RE the oldest daughter standing in the doorway looking at him, you see? That still shot of him waving goodbye ar fhe end of yhis movie was used in a lot of posts by people when he passed on. It's like he was waving goodbye to everyone and he's got a great smile in that shot. Rest In Peace John #NYGenXBIKERLady
Hey A and Antionette, hope this finds u well. Taking a moment away from hospital stuff to come have some fun and laughs with ya today. Did u know u can actually make Uncle Bucks giant pancakes? Here's what ya need...300g of plain flour, 200g of caster sugar, 450ml of milk, 9 medium free range eggs, 100g of melted unsalted butter, and 15g of vegetable oil to make the stack of 3 gigantic pancakes that Buck makes Miles for his birthday. Id add a touch of vanilla extract. Yummy. Thanx so much, take care, Peace
Wow, cool! Thanks for sharing this.
I loved john candy,, even on sctv
One sport you can eat, smoke, drink and play!!😃😃
My stepdaughter gave me grief one time and didn't show up when I was supposed to pick her up at school. The next day, instead of driving the Lexus, I drover the beat up old pickup. I wore overalls (think Hee-Haw). I put a plug of tobacco in my mouth (I did dip snuff back then). I used some Kiwi black shoe polish to give me some gaps in my teeth. Most importantly, I parked right in front of the main entrance, got out and with my best and most creative "hillbilly accent" loudly asked everybody I saw if they'd seen Stacey "cuz her ma was a-needing hep fixin' the vittles." It was almost a year before I had another problem like that...
The thing on the steering wheel is a j-hook steering wheel it's made to grab and turn quickly
Ohhh here it is! WOOHOO!🎉 I JUST got here today as a subscriber so i hadn't looked af everything yet. I did watch Planes Trains and Automobiles and left you guys a long comment about WHY it resonates with me so much. ALSO WHY I'm so happy you guys reacted to it. 😉💜😎 #NYGenXBIKERLady
I have an Uncle Buck!!!! Best uncle ever!!!!😆
I think yall would like 2 good John candy movies, wagons east, and cool runnings
I think the thing on the steering wheel is a compass - old style GPS.
Lol My sister and I had leftover meatloaf sandwiches for a couple of days after Sunday. We were given 10 cents per day for milk money.
That was was way back when . . .
Definitely check out Planes, Trains and Automobiles… John Candy Is in that one as well… same director too
The great outdoors next! So funny!
I'm sure someone already said that object on the steering wheel is a knob to turn the wheel
I loved this movie its about time it gets some recognition.
That isn't a camera on Uncle Buck's dashboard. It's most likely a compass. 🧭. No GPS in 89.
Great reaction! Would love to see you react to O Brother Where Art Thou. Always love your reactions.
I'm pretty sure this was Macauley Culkin's debut as an actor, and it's no coincidence that John Hughes also created Home Alone and thought Macauley would be good for the role. 90% of Hughes movies are bangers. Obviously, he was a white guy from Chicago, and I guess it was a pretty white neighbourhood, because he wrote white characters very well but everyone else he kind of dropped the ball on. Watch Sixteen Candles, an otherwise classic movie, if you don't believe me. Terrific film, if it didn't have that gong going off every time the Chinese guy (named "Long Duck Dong") comes on screen or is mentioned. But John Candy was and still is a National Canadian Treasure. He was great all the way to the end, in Canadian Bacon, one of his last films (as an American guy). Cool Runnings is fun, too.
She was in there first and left so he found another one that’s when buck walked in
I think this movie came out before GPS came out because GPS only came out in the late 80s early 90s and that was from military use at first
Love this movie. Great review and edit of the movie. Thanks
The know on the wheel was an 80s thing, not a camera. It spun and you would use it to make big turns and such.
I love Uncle Buck.....I am soon 60
John Highs made a lot of come by of age most vies.🎶😎
You two are so adorable. Love your channel. New sub.
Great movie. Loved John Candy❤🎉
My favorite John Candy meal vies😍😍😍😍
The joke behind Felix is what se like to call her privates IS because many years ago there was a cartoon called FELIX THE CAT! You guys might be able to find it on here, i used to watch it as a kid!
😉💜😎😂😺 #NYGenXBIKERLady
That's what I thought it was referencing to!
Happy Easter
Enjoyed your company & movie thank you both
13 assassins (2010) not many RUclipsrs have reacted to it.
You two are so cute! GPS did not even exist back then. We were still using BEEPERS cuz we weren't on cellphones yet. ONLY rich people had portable phones wgich are different. They came in a small suitcase yiu carried then in. They ALSO were charging $10 PER MINUTE for you to call someone. YUP! We did gave ohone booths WITH 2 PHONE BOOKS in them and MOST ppl eere pissed cuz calls had jumped up from 10¢ TO 25¢. The *69 has hust come out...we were living large baby with that new invention! 😉💜😎😂 #NYGenXBIKERLady
Oh delirious is really funny
The mail slot scene is what inspired the Home Alone movie.....
There's a difference between reacting to a movie and talking over the whole thing.
There's something you can put on the steering wheel and it turns the steering wheel while you hold it 1 handed on the lever. 1 name for it is a suicide wheel
Gooooooolllly 😂
If I'd had disrespected my Uncle, hello..., I would have worn my ASS for a hat! Indeedy!!!!!
Yoy should put the quiet person next to the mic.
I'm the Uncle Buck in my fam LOL
HAPPY EASTER TO YOU ALL 🙏😎
Adogg, i got a recommendation for a review. Y'all need to do a movie review of "The Great Outdoors." Hilarious movie with John Candy and Dan Aykroyd.
Here's a classic!! You eaned another sub yo! :D
Check out cool runnings. It’s a true story about the first Jamaican bobsled team. John candy is in it and it’s great. The great outdoors has him and Dan Ackroid in it. It’s hilarious. Just subscribed. Love the reactions
Why do people put knobs on their steering wheel?
Using a knob allows a person to maneuver the steering wheel quickly. Before power steering was standard, it was much easier to turn the steering wheel using one of these knobs. At the height of their popularity, there were many decorative knobs available in different shapes and designs
Loving As reactions! SHES REAL
Back atcha! I just knew you would love this. Lo e your shorts too! LHere I am, a retired kinda white lady, my DNA says I'm not. JUST WAIT. CUZ. you'll find utrwhy that teen sister has her attiitude.p
That is so eff'ed up to say it's her fault for going back to him. That's victim blaming. You should be careful you seriously cannot say that shit nowadays. Pfft!
Buck straightens teen girl out!!!!!
Her microphone isn’t loud enough
That's how my sister was at 15 hated everyone
Your reactions were great. You may want to check out Cool Runnings as well ! xx
Just another sugestion it's a mad mad mad mad world, or at least the remake rat race
Yes station wagons were popular. No we didn't have GPS then. Yes you could hear the phone ring throughout the entire house in most homes. NO he was not trying to kiss her on the mouth he was going to kiss her on the cheek but she dodged. No the two girls did not look anything alike - the girl in the bed had long hair and a narrow face with big eyes the girl that was Bug's girl friend had short curly hair and narrow eyes, unless you think we all look alike ROFLMAO!
please watch "armageddon" with bruce willis
You guys have not been paying attention to the movie she didn't want to lose her virginity to him she wasn't ready so he went and got another girl
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The captions don't quite know what to make of the language being spoken here. Neither do I.
