Iron ore is used to make steel ingots and you can turn corn into fish bait.
@@Andysnide I finally got my hands on some iron or thankfully so I have some power now. But I did not know the corn thing was to make fish bait that’s awesome thank you.

@@Andysnide it seems to be very difficult to try to find for some reason. with far as I could tell there any drops but hopefully there is another way

fluorescent lighting doesn't require power btw. None of the initial light fixtures you unlock require any power :)
yes the stage 1 lighting is always acceptable until the electricity is researched
