Their best song. It actually showcases the vocal talent of the singer with tone build up and climax. To me most of SR’s other tracks lack that. They should write more songs to build up the singers vocals into a climax.

I'll just leave my little theory here: They were in a toxic relationship. The girl (the toxic one) finally realized her mistake and decided to let him (the caged bird) leave, although she still loves him. By acting strong and telling him she doesn't love him anymore, she's actually breaking inside since she wants him to be happier in life. She believes she shouldn't be in another relationship because she doesn't deserve it. But she'll always continue to wait for the now free bird to come back as she longs and wish to embrace him once again. Suddenrush❤️

It took us 20 years later to make up and apologize. But covid took him away. I still cherish our apology and glad we got that. My heart has settled.
Not every MV has to have a storyline. For example a lot of Destiny MV's they just play instruments on rooftops or fields. It's pretty common. The music is what matters and for a few of us those lyrics really do hit hard, where we don't need an mv to understand.
