I understand bits here and there. To me, this song is somewhat interpreted as my brother and i relationship. We had a rough falling out for many years. He was the oldest and i was the youngest. It took us 20 years later to make up and apologize. But covid took him away. I still cherish our apology and glad we got that. My heart has settled.

I think they didnt want to base the song on one certain meaning . If you watched their documentary, this song has more than 1 meaning , not just a breakup , it can be towards a loss , a breakup, someone passing , etcetera. Im pretty sure they wanted to keep a open mind about how their viewers felt about the song.

That’s the beauty of artistry, everyone has their own freedom of interpretation. Regardless of what the video looks like, it’s the song that has carried “Mi Noog” into a timeless classic. I’m still looking forward to seeing more videos from Suddenrush 😁
I’ve had the pleasure of seeing them perform live twice, and I’ll always go again to support them but unfortunately, I won’t be able to make it to Minnesota for their performance.
Their best song. It actually showcases the vocal talent of the singer with tone build up and climax. To me most of SR’s other tracks lack that. They should write more songs to build up the singers vocals into a climax.

I'll just leave my little theory here:
They were in a toxic relationship. The girl (the toxic one) finally realized her mistake and decided to let him (the caged bird) leave, although she still loves him. By acting strong and telling him she doesn't love him anymore, she's actually breaking inside since she wants him to be happier in life. She believes she shouldn't be in another relationship because she doesn't deserve it. But she'll always continue to wait for the now free bird to come back as she longs and wish to embrace him once again.

This song has many interpretations, whether it's a lost of a loved one, a friendship or romantic breakup, a relationship that wasn't meant to be, unrequited love, etc. All these scenarios lead to one thing, and it is to let go of them, even though it kills you and breaks your heart apart to never see them again.
I see nothing but a bunch of haters in here...don't listen to them HA-mongs...they can never appreciate anything they've been given...keep up the great work!

Not every MV has to have a storyline. For example a lot of Destiny MV's they just play instruments on rooftops or fields. It's pretty common. The music is what matters and for a few of us those lyrics really do hit hard, where we don't need an mv to understand.
