The first Christmas after losing a family member is extremely tough. In reality I very much understand not having extra people as usual. But, you have to continue on for the sake of other family, especially children and yourself. The first Christmas after my adult son's passing two months before, I really didn't feel much like doing anything. But, I did.
It's sad that Sherry left the show but i don't blame her since she was older and felt she outgrew the show. Besides she had already been typecast in the part. She waa great on the show
Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world! Danny should have said that, since he was a devoted Catholic. He passed up a good chance. Whether people end up in Heaven or Hell depends on their knowing Jesus as Savior and Lord.
I believe Danny was actually Lebanese -- but of the Christian persuasion. His wife was Italian -- and so I suppose he identified with Italy greatly. I'm sure he'd appreciate your post on this extremely poignant episode.
The writers for these shows had to tread a delicate line. The audience, then as now, contained many people who regarded Jesus as the Son of God and others who did not. There was a risk of alienating the non-Christian members of the audience if an explicit reference to Christ was made on a secular show. I have no doubt that Danny Thomas worked closely with the writers to craft a way that he could make reference to his own Christian faith on a Christmas show in a subtle, indirect way.
One of the greatest entertainers /creators in history .
His kids are great too. Top 🎩 tier actress & one of the top 🎩 TV producers .
True but his greatest legacy was St judes children's hospital!!!!❤️💚❤️💚
I like Christmas 🎄 movies & TV episodes.
What a cute episode!
Oh Come O Ye Faithful is my fav.
Sung in its original Latin.
"MIKE" went on to play Mr Kravitz on Bewitched with Elizabeth Montgomery. He did VERY well with the part.
May he rest in peace 🕊️.
Lovely episode. Their Christmas tree🎄 was perfect! It's funny how Danny avoided using the name of the Savior Jesus though.
I just discovered this channel. I’m hooked because of the children. I like this season.
It's the same channel that hosts The Dick Van Dyke show.

She waa great on the show
I did a similar comment to that.
My guess is that she left to go to college as she did in the show. She did guest star in several later episodes episodes
Danny Thomas was a true Christian!
Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world! Danny should have said that, since he was a devoted Catholic. He passed up a good chance. Whether people end up in Heaven or Hell depends on their knowing Jesus as Savior and Lord.
It was mentioned in the first scene the man who was born was the same one who died for mankind
That's true.
Is he italian???

In the story, what happened to his first wife?
It’s only briefly mentioned that he is a widower
Jean Hagen had a three year contract as his wife, and when the three years were over, she left the show. In the story his wife passed away.
He couldn't say Jesus on the show? It was Jesus Christ that gave His life for all

On I love Lucy they couldn’t save the word Pregnant either.
Crazy
But he did sing Oh come all ye faithful in Latin.
