I said right then "that kid is going to be a champion". So I've been dealing with those weird azz haters and naysayers for about 7 or 8 years now. So I'm over the moon happy for the kid. A-MAZED! Not at all surprised, but truly amazed. I've watched that race multiple times and probably will again. Dude, do you realize what's going on? You're straight up emerging to the top right in front of our eyes. You're just claiming the spot of "great". It's just happening and I'm loving every minute of it.
This race was your right of passage into motocross manhood. There is no way anyone CAN see you as a 17 year old rookie anymore. I've always known you've had the heart of a brave grown man, but to see it was something altogether different.
This race said one thing to all your competition..."Be afraid. Be very afraid". Because handling that type of adversity in that manner, at this early in your pro career, is scary. This race has truly marked you as the championship favorite regardless of the points or odds favorite.
Dude, you can ride the heck out of a motorcycle. I can't identify anyone with the intuitiveness that you ride with. You move perfectly in sync with what's in front of you with perfect timing and adaptation. And your reflexes in making adjustments is uncanny. You can't teach that. That comes from the heart. That's passion.
You've officially stopped the bleeding with the points. This race was a big deal in doing that. You rode with integrity, faith and fairness and things happened to go in your favor with a seven point bonus.
Man what you must have learned and internalized from this race. Keeping your cool behind Hampshire and letting him take all the chances for you to possibly inherit the position. Riding clean even when you were in desperation mode and coming out with a podium. And having things all work out for you with a podium and 7 championship point bonus!
I think Saturday, a champion was born in you, it came out for all the world to see. This was monumental.
With that type of work ethic weekend in and weekend out, you'll be hard to top over the distance. You're just going to be plain hard to beat. A pain in the you know what.
Congratulations to all the family and team and congratulations on graduating high school! 🎉
Another podium 🏆. Told you there would be a lot of crow being served this season.
