- We will finally pull our Spring honey. It has definitely been a a different kind of year. With starting out with no bees in the spring, we have made a great comeback and it appears that we are going to get a little honey to eat. #beekeeper #beekeeping #honeybees
I love my thero hive. I wish my wife would let me pick up another one. Our local bee shop sales them in Middle Tennessee. Great channel. Keep up the hard work.
I don't know if it is the hive or the bees, but they seem to be doing really well in there. I can't wait to see how they do through the Winter. Thanks for watching and good luck.
@theboonecountybeekeeper I agree. I know I can put a less stronger hive in mine and they start to explode. I use them for my spits. And go going to pick up swarms if someone calls me to come pick them up since the boxes lock down.
What do you use for smoker fuel?
I have tried everything, but what I like best is, I cut a strip of cardboard about a foot long by about 4 inches wide and roll it up, I light it on the bottom and drop it in the smoker and get it flaming good and then I pack it full of pine needles. Works great and burns a long time. Start seeing fire, I pack in more pine needles. Thanks for watching.
@@theboonecountybeekeeper Thanks! I have a hard time keeping my smoker lit. I also use pine needles or cedar bedding chips, but I use newspaper to get the fire started. Perhaps, that's my problem?
