At 13:34, considering he got a double item block, I think you should have shot the first two shells almost immediately. One shell to destroy his defensive item and the second one to hit him before he reached the finish line. Then make a small pause before shooting the third shell to hit him once he has recovered from the first red shell that actually hit him. What you did was pause after shooting the first shell. If he was holding a defensive item, the first shell did nothing, and he had either enough time to set his second defensive item or reach the finish line before he got hit by the second shell due to the small pause. That's my opinion though. If he was holding the super horn, he could have destroyed the first 2 shells if you shot them together immediately, but this is more unlikely to have happened. Unless shooting two shells very close together means they both get cancelled by a single defensive banana?

Why haven't they brought back yellow shells in anything, you have blue shells in this, blue shells in new mario bros, but what about the yellow ones from Super Mario World.
In Mario World it creates dust clouds around it and shakes the ground a little bit, maybe it could work like a combination of lightning and the horn, or a blue shell that circles the entire track once kicking up dust as it goes knocking anyone in its path except the user.
