Why you never talk about SMA Sunny Island for solar batteries off and on grid systems? I'ts really a unique system and probably one of the best since those inverter are robust, an open system that can accept many different kinds of batteries,??
Uh, this inverter is identical to the EG4 18Kpv hybrid inverter from Signature Solar and it can be used with MOST LiFePO4 batteries that have closed loop communications. It is not restricted to any one brand of battery. Fortress is just trying to pressure customers into buying their overpriced batteries. Fortress makes good batteries, but they are just so overpriced and low on features now days...same as Battle Born. Also, this inverter comes with a larger wiring enclosure area which Signature solar has chosen to use in the EG4 18Kpv. It looks like Fortress is using the smaller wiring enclosure. Only saves a few inches of space vertically. I would rather have the EG4 18Kpv for the extra wiring room. And yes, the inverter is overpriced...the EG4 version is about $5,600 w/free shipping and the Fortress is about $6,500-6,700 for the same piece of equipment...don't know about shipping. And the EG4 18Kpv comes with the Wi-Fi dongle. I wouldn't be surprised if Fortress makes you buy it separately.
Aren't there bunch of inverters made by one Chinese company these US brands are nothing more than dealers. Why I see issues with firmware being released they are at the mercy of this one company in China.
Lol! You're totally right. I have actually done business with their chief information officer in the past and it was an EXCEEDINGLY bad experience. Wouldn't do business with that company for a million bucks.
Lux Power makes this unit for Fortress and EG4. The 18K by EG4 is $1.600 less expensive.
Have fun with that warranty claim. EG4 is not a bankable company.
Sales trained him well not to discuss anything commercial, only technical😜
This guy knows his stuff.
If so, why did he say several time the inverter was a battery.
@@stevenfrazier8939 hahaha, and he is an engineer that the only thing that he wants to add about the "battery" at the end is that is "awesome"
anytime someone doesn’t know the price means it’s way over-priced.
Proprietary battery is a sale killer for me who uses Lead Acid batteries? These folks weren't ready for prime time.
Thank You for All that you are doing for our Planet Earth.... Peace.. Shalom.. Salam.. Namaste 🙏🏻 😊 🌈 ✌ ☮ ❤

Feel free to provide comms programing, and bankability of EG4. Fortress will be around to service their warranty.
How much

Why would a company enter a tight inverter market and make yourself less flexible to the market adoption. Doesn’t seem like this product will last.
Oh my. I forsee this company selling tens of tens of these units.
Lol! You're totally right. I have actually done business with their chief information officer in the past and it was an EXCEEDINGLY bad experience. Wouldn't do business with that company for a million bucks.
How much does he charge? Pun intended. Seriously doesn't know price? Pretty lame but whatever.
This company will not make it. Dead in the water😂
Fortress screwed up w this unit.
If he can't discuss the cost of the inverter, it is not worth calling them.
