    To people noticing the sweating: not only is it physically challenging (to play these hard pieces during one concert), but he is also under floodlight which makes his body temperature go up.

      This performance will likely never be surpassed . Berezovskys level of accuracy, and emotion is just marvelous and something very few people will ever reach the level of. I tried to play this, and in comparison, the level of dexterity this guy has is not even funny.

      Billy Zhu some people might say Berezovsky made a lot of mistakes. Well maybe he made a few, but they are completely inaudible. Trifonovs performances had many audible mistakes. Trust me I know these pieces like the back of my hand.

  • @m.a.3322

    Berezovsky's version is absolutely manic and really emphasizes on the 'agitato' aspect of this piece. The fury, velocity, strength and power of his playing absolutely amazes me. Liszt would be proud!

      Berezovsky is probably the best technician out there. Along with beautiful musicality, and expression. There are probably more who are capable but are not willing to risk. He doesn't give a fly and goes for it anyway. And this is the result we get. Masterpiece

    • @martinriha3729
      @martinriha3729 7 лет назад +4

      There is no way this is better than cziffra's, Berezovsky's appasionata lacks passion, he doesn't tell the story, rushes through the lyrical parts. If you would have heard the criffra's version in atleast this qualitty, you would crap your pants.

    • @johnkrammer3673
      @johnkrammer3673 6 лет назад

      In this case, he plays better than Cziffra for the reason that Cziffra goes reducing the tempo slowly for every etude.
