I had the option to install one of these 3 in my studio. I tried them all and opted for the Buzz REQ 2.2. I found it to be more unique and have a sound of its own. The maselec is awesome but I saw it as just another excellent EQ. That's not a bad thing if it's your only EQ. But for me I wanted something with flavour. The GML isn't stepped and although it sounded really good recalling it was a pain. I want a gml 8500 ideally.
I could only get my hands on once but the magic for me lies into the stereo image handling and the spatial quality of the Sound. No other EQ sounds so clear in my honest opinion.
Hope to touch a real maselec one day 🙂 can you compare the MEA-2 EQ with the Acustica Ivory 5 plugin for us who can't afford the hardware, for us to know how close is the plugin, thank you.
As someone that has both, the Buzz has a unique tone the Maselec doesn't but the Maselec is without doubt a direct clean, clear and the perfect EQ. I had to choose one or the other in my room and I went with the Buzz. If you went for either you'd be over the moon.
Wow this EQ is genuinely something else. Considering getting one, but will need to try it out soon hopefully!
It’s like magic. Wish I hadn’t watched haha.
Hello.
what kind of equalizer do you think is musical? Which one is more transparent in sound?
Maselec MEA-2?
Elysia museq?
Hi Paul, Amazing video thanks, for electronic music material , which one would you prefer between MEA2, GML 8200 or the Buzz ? :)

@@AudioAnimalsStudiothanks Paul for your feedback, let’s hope they will re-issue the 9500, I will still keep my old 8200 in the meantime.
Any thoughts on the IGS Inductor EQ?
Let’s have a shootout between this and the massive passive

best EQ !!!
Pretty cool but I want for the Buzz 😊

It´s a similar concept like Azure 2 from Acustica Audio or Knif Audio Soma. 2 Band Shelf.
But the Azure 2 kills the CPU of my Mac Studio Max.
This won't kill your CPU
@@AudioAnimalsStudio You are right. But my Bank account is in a dangerous situation. 8500 Euro! But its such a lovely EQ
@mistermusicenterprise3148 stay tuned something on the horizon that will fit your budget. Review coming soon.
@@AudioAnimalsStudio Yes! 👍
may let my MusEQ go for this EQ.. hmm... the museq is very nice however.
Man that EQ is nice! It is real expensive though
Yes one of the more expensive at £7700
There’s an used one at Makenoise I think.
@infojunkie4989 yes there is. I saw it while I was up there a couple weeks ago. Looks in good condition and sounded perfect.
