During a conversation, you discussed the use of traumatic needles, and there have been studies showing that taking a prophylactic supine position to prevent post-dural puncture headache (PDPH) do not reduce PDPH and the use of atraumatic needles can reduce the incidence of PDPH. However, most hospitals in korea still use conventional needles and require patients to lie down for several hours after a CSF puncture. What is the general practice in the United States regarding this? If it is similar to the US, what are your thoughts on the phenomenon where changes do not occur rapidly despite clear evidence?
