Good stuff. Apparently there is aprocess whereby you can change your marriage to community of property - “Gananciales matrimonio”?

Interesting! Can that be done in Spain if you were married in the UK for example? Can a Spanish law be applied to a foreign marriage?

what is a cheaper process a lawyer, agency or can you do this yourselft and present all the necessary documents. If you go for the 3 year visit in Spain is that any different than doing at your local consulate?

Doing it direct in Spain avoids the consulate fee so that’s a saving. You can do it yourself if you’re brave and can understand enough Spanish. Personally I’d employ a specialist who’s done it before. I can recommend a couple if you want. First thing to do in advance is get a broker account if you’re in a non Euro currency country. Here’s a link to my recommendation bit.ly/SmartY2S

@@youtoospain i'm interested in the Golden Visa but if i invest in rental properties, aren't i taxed on high spanish taxes for income tax revenue from those rentals also?

@@NoelMorata you will be taxed in Spain on rental income and property taxes yes. I’m not a tax expert, but Fran from this video could answer better
How much tax will I pay on property in Spain?

I heard that if you park a million in a bank account = you can qualify for a Spanish Gilden Visa that way too....is this true?

Yes that’s one way to do it. There are a few ways to invest to get the Golden Visa. You’d need to be careful about wealth tax if I remember rightly, it depends which region you were based. Andalucia have abolished it.

Good morning Skatz, there are rumors that there are changes coming to the Golden Visa in Spain as Portugal have made changes.

Yes there are certainly rumours. Whether anything comes of it and how soon is anyone’s guess. I would do it this year if I was planning on getting the visa, just in case.
