It's nice to see that you've been able to build a business around something you love. I know I could not have grown the first edible thing without your help. Since starting around the first of April I now have three Greenstalks and 20 grow bags full of veggies. My neighbors are dropping by just to see what is going on over here:) Even though I live in Northeast Florida our virtual consultations have been invaluable. Looking forward to your next three years and another 100 videos!!
I really like your channel. Just started following you and one thing I really appreciate is you dont have annoying background music when you are talking. THANK YOU for that and thank you for all the education.
Congratulations on your 100th video! Even though I don't live in Florida (N Texan here) I've learned a lot from you and enjoy your content. Looking forward to seeing how you grow over the next 100 videos. ~ Lisa
Thank you and congrats to you !! You have a beautiful spirit, garden and extended family ..4 legged included. I appreciate all your information. Appreciate that there is a chance to grow no matter the available space..which I am limited . I really enjoy the transformation of your St P 🏡. You give insiration to grow here in Largo . The take home for me since I started following u is , to increase your chances of success..grow what grows best in your area. Hope to get some seeds from ya soon. ✌
Wow! Congrats on your 100th video! I've learning so much about organic veggie gardening. Though I'm new at it, it always seems when I'm a bit down because I killed my seeds (yes, I think it's overwatering, lol) along comes another video that cheers me up and keeps me motivated to continue. Keep up the fantastic teaching!
Hate to keep adding stuff on your board, but just had to leave update, I'm that excited about those plants. Your live plants are SUCH a great deal, I can't get over it. The 6 strawberry runners are growing leaves, and should be moving into full sun in a day or two. The "extra" 7th has not given up, and I may just end up with 7 strawberry plants for the price of 6! For anyone out there who use curry leaves, the live curry plant I picked up is at least 1 year old, and is NOT a cutting, but had a rhyzome that was impressive, and had a 6" sucker growing from the base. Compared to plants in Indian groceries when available at 3X the price, Elise's plant was healthier, fuller, ... I separated and transplanted, and both mother and baby currry are doing great. Thanks! Hi, Elise, Just picked up my order of plants and seeds, and wow! They do not disappoint! Strawberry runners are so fat, and 4 were already growing leaves; going to get them in container ASAP. And thanks for the video on how to plant; that was so thoughtful. The live plants, most of which were labeled "small" on your website, are really good sized specimens; crazy values compared to the last price increases at the Big Box stores on vegetable starts, not to mention the hard-to-find varieties that you offer. Initially, my Okinawan spinach looked a little stressed, but it is perking right up in the shade on my lanai - so that will get some TLC while I pot up everyone else. Thanks again for another great batch of plant babies, looking forward to them doing their thing.
I loved your 100th video! and that you decided to take us in a journey of your world. I love that you do online consultations. I have been kind of lost as to how to build my garden. All I know is that I would love to harvest the vegetables I buy the most in the store on a weekly basis. I have the idea, the want, the need, the passion. Just need a bit of guidance and now I know I can reach out to you! thanks!
Happy Friday Urban Harvest. Once again, another excellent video with spectacular production values. You simply couldn't be more correct in recommending that it makes sense for people who live in an urban environment to convert their yards into gardens, with so many edible weeds and flowers available - like dandelion, purslane, Sheep Sorrel, Purslane, Chickweed - and it's of course so much better to preserve our limited sustainable resources. That being said, have a wonderful weekend and of course thank you for sharing. 😊😊
Congratulations to you. I appreciate your logical, thorough approach to your videos. Your videos are always thoughtfully put together so as to help the viewer as much as possible.
Congratulations on reaching this great milestone. Thank you for the inspiration your information is easy to understand and achieveable. You have taken me to a whole new level of gardening I look forward to learning more. Congrats!!! on balancing home and a business.
Congratulations! Your videos are always informative and easy to understand. I still feel like a gardening novice even though I have been gardening for a little bit. Your videos are always encouraging, especially for those of us that still consider ourselves newbies. And I always look forward to my seed subscription! Thank you for everything that you do.
Congratulations! Love all your videos. Just started watching them this past spring and has encouraged me to get back into gardening after so many fails and giving up. Vermont gardening was too easy, toss the seeds and everything just grew! 😂 Not so much here. Still working on building decent ground beds. However my greenstalk I purchased with your code is doing beautifully as well as my grow bags. I really want to have a greenstalk strawberry garden but struggle finding the right bareroot varieties for 10A at the right time of year. (Does planting time matter?) 😅 My bare backyard now has 2 Barbados cherry trees, 2 mulberry trees, and I started with one dwarf banana plant (thanks to you) and it keeps having babies (what a gift) now I’m up to 5 in only just 4 months! I bought dwarf Moringa seeds from baker creek and have a few in pots now. I struggle finding content on the dwarf variety. I appreciate you keeping your new community off social media! I will look into joining ❤. (Any recipe sharing with things that are homegrown is appreciated. I’m having fun growing but unsure of how to use some of it 😅😂) Thank you for everything that you do!
For moringa you can dry the leaves and use them in tea or use the raw leaves in other recipes for pesto, smoothies, even salads. So glad that you enjoy the content and thank you for supporting it!
Way to go on producing 100 videos!!!! You seem to continue to be able to bring us wonderful content to continue to help us grow food here in Florida. I have learned so much from you so thank you!!! I do continually wonder how you have time for what you do. Thanks for sharing a bit about the back story for the Urban Harvest.
Thank you for sharing a glimpse into your life. I enjoy your videos and online classes, they are always informative and inspiring, in fact, I have some shiitake mushrooms growing in my laundry room right now! I also have planted some of the seeds I purchased from you, and things are growing along. But, the best in life is your precious family, and it is understandable that they need to come first, especially when time is fleeting. Having said that, I do look forward to your next 100 videos!
Congrats on your 100th video and thank you for sharing with us! I realize it's not garden related, but I'd love to hear more about the kitty that keeps making guest appearances in your posts - new member of the family?
Congratulations on reaching such a big milestone! Our lives are richer 100X for your info and encouragement. Keep growing! We want to see your green thumb on everything! Your family is so beautiful.
This year in Australia (Adelaide region ) We have a winter climate for 7 months with lot o rains and storms and floods an very cold winds. The plants: fruits or vegetables, that had managed to bar flowers are still waiting for the bees... :but no bees! it was too cold
I leaving lake Worth Florida and then growing here bananas soursop mango avocado starfruit Logan fruit and much more I have a property in Okeechobee county I tried to plan the same thing everything is dying to me look like the soil is not very well drain it in the top is very dry but when you start digging in the ground is very moist and wet any idea
Standing water can be very challenging for many fruit trees to establish in. Have you tried berming the soil to make little raised islands of sorts so that there was better drainage? Also try elderberry, it thrives in that description. Not necessarily a true fruit tree but wonderful plant medicine...
Elise do you have a video on helpful bugs in the garden example Brahminy Blind Snake, aka Flowerpot Snake. I had never seen one before. I found one in my garden and removed it. I am praying it survived. Would feel horrid if I killed it. It eats eggs from termites, and ants.
Rascals get into everything! Squirrels are typically going for bare soil more than the seed or plant itself. Try covering the area loosely with chicken wire so they cant easily get to the soil. Overturned buckets and other obstructions can help to. Try to keep the beds as full as possible to minimize the attractiveness.
This is a beautiful little snapshot of your life. You are an amazing mom, wife, and gardener. 💕
You are so kind
Wow, you just mentioned you're in St Pete; that's where I grew up. Cool to realize I've learned some stuff from someone in my old stomping grounds 🙂

Congratulations on reaching such a big milestone! Our lives are richer 100X for your info and encouragement. Keep growing! We want to see your green thumb on everything! Your family is so beautiful.
Aw thank you! I love those little babies more than anything! So happy to be able to have helped so many folks get more confident in the garden.
From 🇷🇺 with ❤️!
Great information. Do you offer walks in your forest gardens?
I do offer in person classes!
I live in Clearwater & have 30+ fruit trees on a 0.25 plot. Would be happy to het some seeds from you!
We are in Inverness, FL. I'm in the city. What should I be doing with my Garden area now to get ready for planting time?
This year in Australia (Adelaide region ) We have a winter climate for 7 months with lot o rains and storms and floods an very cold winds.
The plants: fruits or vegetables, that had managed to bar flowers are still waiting for the bees... :but no bees! it was too cold
Oh wow. Some can be hand pollinated perhaps. Sounds like a rough season. Leafy greens tend to do ok in cold no pollination conditions.
I'm in central florida and I can't get anything to grow😭😭😭
Congratulations on your success!
Sorry to hear that, keep it up though don't give up on growing!
Thank you for allowing us a glimpse into a day in your life… so appreciate you and all the wonderful information you provide!
So grateful to have the opportunity to do so! Enjoy the strawberries!

I dont no but that would be a great topic Ill add it to my list!
Do you please have a recipe for the Roselle Quesadilla?
I dont follow this to a t but here is a general idea: www.brownsugarandvanilla.com/hibicus-flower-tacos/
💯
😊
Congrats… where are you located?
St. Pete Fl
💚
Have many banana trees but never had bananas what am I doing wrong?
I Subscribe Youre Channel
How do you keep squirrels, birds, rats and other rodents away from your fresh harvest?
Rascals get into everything! Squirrels are typically going for bare soil more than the seed or plant itself. Try covering the area loosely with chicken wire so they cant easily get to the soil. Overturned buckets and other obstructions can help to. Try to keep the beds as full as possible to minimize the attractiveness.
@@TheUrbanHarvest Very well said. Your wisdom is so very much appreciated. And your dedication is inspiring.
...I'm not a farmer.
but I say You're a Good Gardener
Thanks from @gardenonebd
