I believe that black Americans get a bad rap because, all to often, we witness bad behavior from them, both in-person and in media. Certainly, not all black Americans behave badly, I doubt that it's even a majority of black Americans that behave badly, though I have no way of quantifying this. It's just something that I believe. I have worked in multiple industries in my 64 years. One of those industries placed me in the minority. Whites made up less than one percent of the staff. I got to observe a lot. I observed that the Blacks that were born and raised in Africa were kind, polite, and spoke English that I found easier to understand, despite their accents. Their sentence structure was better and they didn't invent words, intentionally mispronounce words, or mumble incoherently unlike their Black American co-workers. Black Americans have a tough cultural line to toe. Black Americans that choose to get an education, and aren't ashamed to demonstrate it, get labeled as being "not black enough". They are ridiculed within their own community for thinking they are "better" than other, less well educated, Black Americans. I watched a Black American man claim he was "being disrepected" and react with anger and threats because another Black man used a word the the first Black man was unfamiliar with. SMH. I have witnessed Black American women gang-up on another Black woman and force her to quit her job because she was a diligent and conscientious worker. They actually told her that she made them look bad and they were "gonna beat her ass in the parking lot" for it. SMH. I have developed the opinion that Black Americans have only one problem resolution method available to them, insults, name calling, and threats of violence followed closely by actual assault and battery. I have thought to myself, more than once, that if the Black community doesn't like how they are treated then they need to put a stop to the behaviors that cause those treatments. I hear the phrase "systemic racism" a lot. What I never hear is the Black community taking responsibility for their part in "systemic racism". Police react the way they do because of the many bad encounters they have had with Black Americans. If you are familiar with Pavlov's dogs then let me characterize it this way. The police are Pavlov's dogs and Blacks in America are the bell. The police expect a bad encounter with Blacks in America because much of their prior experience has taught them to expect a bad encounter. Black officers are even more inclined to take a hard line because they grew up in Black culture so they know what to expect. I have thought on many occasions that if Black Americans want to live in a civilized society, if they want to feel like they are treated as equals, then they have to behave like they belong in a civilized society and they have to behave as equals. It's the behaviors we see all to often spread across the TV screen, the computer screen, the cellphone screen, and sometimes live and in-person, that scream that Black Americans choose not to be equal. That they don't understand that fear and respect are not the same thing. That they chose hostility, anger, violence, and crime that are corrosive to society rather than choosing to be a positive influence on society. Lastly, if there were "systemic racism" then I would expect, that as a middle-aged white man from the Deep South, to have been invited to join. If White Americans were interested in keeping Black Americans down we couldn't do a better job than Black Americans do to themselves. Black America, in this day and age, is it's own worst enemy.

Yea it’s a fact that what we see in videos leads us to draw wrong conclusions about people and an entire country/nationality and it’s very bad. These videos help me get a better perspective and a new found respect for Chinese people. I’m not naive at all, but sometimes when you see certain videos it gets you angry. But I love this Q & A. The only thing I would say is we must be careful not to say ‘Chinese people’ because that puts the entire nation under the microscope and we know many of them have nothing but love in their heart.
EXCELENT EXCELLENT !! Interview. Good questions and informative answers. Overall solid meaningful dialogue. We must all do our part to educate other groups of people, control the narrative of your people. In times past one group has used their platform of world influence and domination to define the global view of the black culture. I applaud and commend you for the work you are engaged in. I have found myself engaging in many of these exact conversations over the years; dispelling many of the misconceptions, miseducation and lies disseminated to the Asians groups of what it means to be black and being apart of the diaspora. One question I especially liked how you addressed, was the question of black people and their supposed innate proximity to poverty. I have had the opportunity to travel to certain parts of Asia and have seen firsthand the immense poverty in many areas. I found it rather ignorant that some Asians would ascribe poorness and blacks as being synonymous with one another when so many of their population was so visible poor, so I really appreciate how you tackled this question while using an example of China to bring you point across more potently. Keep up the solid work you have gained a subscriber
This video went much better for explanations to Black people in the diaspora than i thought and it was intelligent and insightful as i have dealt with Chinese people and other Asians about these very same topics....Peace
*are all BLACK PEOPLE POOR?* This is my take, PEOPLE dont really understand the impact of images they watch on tv, newspapers, internet, etc... there is a reason why AFRICA is portrayed like that publicly, it's a psychological warfare, i once met an AFGHANI who told me, i always thought AFRICANS lived in trees, and ate each other sometimes, totally uncivilized Creatures, and i asked him, who told you that mess? he said nobody, it's an image i got from TV over the years, i changed my mind when i went to RUSSIA to study, i studied with many Bright AFRICANS at university over there, they were self disciplined, hardworking, easy to approach, and so on... i then asked him what was his verdict then? he said i think everything is about exposure.
King Asare, there needs to be more videos like this. I live in the Caribbean on the island of Trinidad. I am a Black man, a descendant of Black people who were brought here as slaves back in the 1700's and it is not only Chinese people who have misconceptions about us Black people. You have started a good job. Please continue.
Even on a tree stone fire, we cook in the local kitchen, we cook outside when cooking a very big pot which for my community is palm nuts for processing palm oil
My guess is, you will never see an honest dialogue show like this on the regular in China. I went to Beijing 2011 and the people were very curious, would stare, and the older men tended to be rude and mean. The little kids were very intrigued and the brave ones wanted to touch my skin and my sisters hair. Our tour guide was extremely nervous when we went to Tiananmen Square and the tomb of Moa because we were followed by police or other government officials. The parks there were extremely clean and beautiful with many people practicing some sort of tai che and calligraphy on the sidewalks. Even in America, we are fed many stereotypes about Africa as a whole. On tv, they only showed people living in huts and shanty towns, starving and dying people, war, and disease. They never showed the more affluent black Africans, their homes, countries and higher learning universities. Africans go all over the world to study but do very well in America because their educational systems back in Africa prepared them well for higher learning in other countries as many Africans are well educated.
Great conversation there. 👍 I especially like what you said about maintenance/ preservation of one’s culture. I have personally watched a video where a Chinese woman was cooking outside on a fireside as well. But I never thought that it was because she was poor. As a matter of fact, in Bamendankwe ( my village ) , there is a traditional food that consists essentially of roasted chicken, that is later on chopped into smaller bits and it’s prepared with palm oil and usually served with fufu corn. It’s called ( kuhte/ kahte-Jahre) chicken . We don’t do this on gas. It’s ideal to do this roasting on a fireside. Both the rich, and the poor like it that way. If you were to propose that it be done on the gas, you may end up having serious trouble with the people of Bamendankwe.
Let's keep in mind that his perspective is coming from an African from Africa. Which I think he's doing a very good job explaining his perspective from that viewpoint. I'm a black man from America. We see things differently. Differently not being bad or better, it's just that we had different cultures. I have a friend of mine he's Chinese but he was born and raised in Jamaica. He doesn't speak Mandarin. His race is Chinese, but his culture is Jamaican. It's good he's doing an interview like this, and I appreciate the young lady from China participation. But keep in mind this his viewpoint does not represent all black people around the world.
I saw 3 things that scared the image of China in my mind, 1. The African museum in China that likens Africans to animals. 2. Chinese men shot two African girls, I think they were from Cameroon, it seemed the Chinese were just not happy that these girls left Africa and went to China. 3. There was a Chinese guy that butchered an African woman on the street and all other people were just walking by as this man slaughtered the woman, that video tortured me for a very long time. Note, I don't hate all Chinese people as the whole country shouldn't suffer consequences of one man's actions. Once I met a Chinese guy that was snooping on my phone and saw WeChat, he was so happy to see the app and asked me a tone of questions as it's commonly used in China, he is the first Chinese person I've ever talked to in my life.
I know you have the capability and capacity to tutor them well on @big and small questions” . You are the right man for this job sir . You just passed your interview
Point of correction, most black people originate from Africa but also from other parts of the world. There are black aborigines in Australia, Papua new Guinea, Japan, Europe & middle east who originated from those places. Morden Slave trade started around 1470AD , Ancient civilisation in Egypt dating back 3500BC to 5000BC , to the days of building of the pyramids have black involvement. Therefore black presence in the entire world has not solely originated from slave trade. In fact blacks are the 1st people on Earth and may have origins beyond Africa.
I was very fortunate to go to kindergarten first grade elementary school in Chicago Chinatown during the early 1950s. Our school has a mixture of black, Hispanics, caucasian and Chinese Americans. Me ,my brother and sister being black had a wonderful beautiful time going to that school. Our parents never taught us nothing negative about the different races of people there. I knew at an early age everyone is the same except we look different.
Information: People cook outside because of smoke from the wood or kerosene used to cook food - cook outside and you dont have to worry about clearing the smell and smoke of cooking. Of course these days, people cook with gas and electric hobs and dont need to cook outside. That is all.
If Asian Women knew just how many Black Guys are into them they would be HIGHLY surprised. And most Black Guys don't even believe in that "Sheng Nu" thing at all. As long as she is a good woman and the connection between the two is good then they would find many black men who love them for life

I lived in Africa for over 24 years and can confirm that comparing to North American, European and most Asian standards Africans in Africa live in extreme poverty. Have to add, though very poor in general, they are also some of the most friendly people I have ever come across.
MaRc Marc, so you lived in all the 54 countries in Africa or just one country and u here talking rubbish about the whole of Africa? @@Yesumo1932 Botswana was my headquarter, running air cargo company. We transport goods by air across the entire continent, very dangers to do that by road due to theft, armed robberies but primarily by very low quality of the roads across the continent. I spent a lot of time in most African countries due to restrictions between flights and exceptionally local logistics and backward customs processes. Poverty is something that is unavoidable to ignore, it is everywhere. In Nigeria even police and custom officials beg for money. Do not argue this with me, it is my experience of live on the continent not yours. Chinese and Africans have some similarities: 1. They value their traditions and culture, and are proud of them. 2. They tend to have very disciplinarian as parents. 3. It is not uncommon to have their grown-up sons and daughters still living with the family even if they can afford to move out. 4. They typically pressure their kids to become either a doctor, lawyer, or an engineer. 5. They are highly family oriented. 6. Their parents tend to put pressure on their daughters to get married so they can be grandparents. 6. They lavish with spices in their foods. 7. In some parts of China and Africa, the parents collect a high bride price from their daughter's suitor. This is evident in the manner in which they mention her achievements to the suitors to justify the high bride price.
Total BS they are not even close to Chinese people. Your out of mind. Plus Africa as a whole is poor and full of war. That small percentage that's well off is very small compared to the population. It's not close at all. Black people are truly their own worst enemy in any country.
It also baffled me why the Chinese think Africa as one country. It is a continent my fellow Chinese people. Good video has been to China many times for business, I am from Seychelles .
You're from the Seychelles... Nice. I don't know the ethnic makeup of the country? It is all about exposure and education, which is why a lot of people don't know that Africa is a continent. What kind of business are you into, btw?
These are the kinds of videos people who don't know need to see. Education is the key to knowledge. I was going to say TV is bad, but you have to watch the right television shows. Remember, if it doesn't make sense to you, it's not true.
Interesting video, you should collaborate more with Jesse in future. Love the bit when she asked you whether black guys are bigger, lol. I am afraid that's the question on most Chinese girls minds!🤣 But seriously, you should try and date her,she seems a nice girl.
This was amazing thank you. The last time lived in China specifically in Beijing was 2008. I only live there for 6 months and it was the best time of my entire life. I went to school off of 3rd ring road called The Bridge School and I took Mandarine in the university for 3 years. I have spoken mandarin in many years so I know Im rusty but after I finish up my spanish lessons I attend to rekindle my practice of mandarine. I miss China truly.
Interesting video. I know that many of the Asian cultures harbor their own racism and stereotypes even about other Asians, so her questions didn't surprise me with the misperceptions of black people. Actually not the first video I have seen of Asians thinking black people were poor and dirty. What gave me a chuckle was when she was asking about types of girls, Asian, American, or a Black girl. Exactly who does she think is an "American"? That was a rhetorical question.
The ignorance is real and truly scary! It's fairly recent that 700 million Chinese were lifted out of poverty, so honestly speaking it is very weird of them to be seeing others as poor unless it's deeper than that which I believe it is.
That last part annoys me the most. When anyone else does something wrong, it's on that one person. When someone black does something wrong, it's all of us. It's weird as hell.

You can never assume what's in ANYONE'S heart. Until they reveal it to you. 😶
Very humble and calm presentation. Very factual.
Wow, we need more of this kind of video please.
Very informative and interesting video. Thanks for presenting this.
Your video is informative...but you should hv a subtitle in Chinese to get that targeted people educated too.
This video went much better for explanations to Black people in the diaspora than i thought and it was intelligent and insightful as i have dealt with Chinese people and other Asians about these very same topics....Peace
*are all BLACK PEOPLE POOR?*
This is my take, PEOPLE dont really understand the impact of images they watch on tv, newspapers, internet, etc... there is a reason why AFRICA is portrayed like that publicly, it's a psychological warfare, i once met an AFGHANI who told me, i always thought AFRICANS lived in trees, and ate each other sometimes, totally uncivilized Creatures, and i asked him, who told you that mess? he said nobody, it's an image i got from TV over the years, i changed my mind when i went to RUSSIA to study, i studied with many Bright AFRICANS at university over there, they were self disciplined, hardworking, easy to approach, and so on... i then asked him what was his verdict then? he said i think everything is about exposure.
NIce video, and Keep up the good work.
Even on a tree stone fire, we cook in the local kitchen, we cook outside when cooking a very big pot which for my community is palm nuts for processing palm oil
I'm very impressed with this King Asare.... well executed and very necessary
This was a good one. 👍👍👍
I like this
We need more of this kind of videos
Great interview
Africans go all over the world to study but do very well in America because their educational systems back in Africa prepared them well for higher learning in other countries as many Africans are well educated.
please give us a reverse on Africans on Chinese too I have some to ask
Great answers
Respect bro❤️✊
This is good. Do more of these interview
That’s a great interview. We need to have these talks in the U.S. to change harts and minds on all sides.
Ask her about those cats! Do they really eat them and what it tast like? 🤔
I love your video and most importantly the topic you guys discussed. I'm a black and will like to date a Chinese or a Hong-Konger. We're all humans.
Love the discourse and conversation. Fellow Ghanaian King 👑
I saw 3 things that scared the image of China in my mind,
Where did number 3 happen. In China?
This is a very nice episode. Very informative and interesting. Next time invite me to answer the big and small question 😂😂😂😂
I know you have the capability and capacity to tutor them well on @big and small questions” . You are the right man for this job sir . You just passed your interview

From I was young I was told to beat it on a papaya tree for it to become big and long just like the tree .
I like the interview and I think she may like you sir.
Cool interview
I like the fact that he kept on referring to Africa as a country, one day we shall be one country 🙏🏽🙏🏽💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
EAC is leaving the way👌🏽
Well the truth is, Afrika is a Continent, not a country. A continent of 54 countries.
Definitely... hopefully some sort of union agreement within my lifetime. AH, I can imagine it now.
In fact blacks are the 1st people on Earth and may have origins beyond Africa.
interesting questions
This is awesome 👌 and encouraged towards others people.
Thank you for video it's cool video bro 🙏👍
Information: People cook outside because of smoke from the wood or kerosene used to cook food - cook outside and you dont have to worry about clearing the smell and smoke of cooking. Of course these days, people cook with gas and electric hobs and dont need to cook outside. That is all.
If Asian Women knew just how many Black Guys are into them they would be HIGHLY surprised. And most Black Guys don't even believe in that "Sheng Nu" thing at all. As long as she is a good woman and the connection between the two is good then they would find many black men who love them for life
men like women and women like men regardless of race
Ooh Boy when she say Question number 4. Is bit weird 🤔. King asare brains run faster to recognize what's the question about, even before she finished asking. You already knew the question
🏃💨
I didn’t know that was the question on her mind . But I’m the process of asking , I think. Got the clue . Haha . Such. A brave girl I must say .
As if u lived in every country in Africa..stop being ignorant, Africa is a continent, just be specific with the African country..Shame on u for putting a whole continent in one box..what do u know about Africa..stop the nonesense..
Just open your eyes, there are hundreds of boats of people escaping the poverty of Africa, not only on the Mediterranean sea but English channel too.
@@kaszub1234567 so how many African countries did u visit and are you trying to tell me there are no poor people in your country?my guy just use your head, u don’t make sense here..did u visit all the 54 countries in Africa?
some think we are lazy and not intelligent well that's the one i met some time
Chinese and Africans have some similarities:
Good breakdown on this topic
Total BS they are not even close to Chinese people. Your out of mind. Plus Africa as a whole is poor and full of war. That small percentage that's well off is very small compared to the population. It's not close at all. Black people are truly their own worst enemy in any country.
I mean Chinese people honestly should just do the slightest research before asking silly questions. "Are all Africans poor?"🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
It also baffled me why the Chinese think Africa as one country. It is a continent my fellow Chinese people. Good video has been to China many times for business, I am from Seychelles .
The Chinese Japanese all came from us and theres conclusive evidence of this
You're from the Seychelles... Nice. I don't know the ethnic makeup of the country? It is all about exposure and education, which is why a lot of people don't know that Africa is a continent.
What kind of business are you into, btw?
Even some Americans might think Africa is one country. 😂

These are the kinds of videos people who don't know need to see. Education is the key to knowledge. I was going to say TV is bad, but you have to watch the right television shows. Remember, if it doesn't make sense to you, it's not true.
Its good to speak openly
Interesting video, you should collaborate more with Jesse in future. Love the bit when she asked you whether black guys are bigger, lol. I am afraid that's the question on most Chinese girls minds!🤣 But seriously, you should try and date her,she seems a nice girl.
Thank you Sir . I hope to do some more Collaborations with her . As from dating , hahahahahaha ….. she’s already in a relationship
Big does matter of course bro

Yes they are so admit it , why do you think they used to castrate them when they lynched them.

Thank you for watching
This is a good one i must say!
Never judge pipo because you see them trying to mpreserve their culture
Answer her question just don't down play us (you ) great video! I'm not into interracial dating though.
I think the Chinese are an issue in Africa, ill be honest. Massive report of crime from them.
(You didn't downplay us)
This was amazing thank you. I miss China truly.
aye my brother got super serious when it came to dating Asians 🤣🤣🤣🤣 started leaning in & keeping tf outta that eye contact ik she felt the pressure 😂
I once taught a boy whose father is a Nigerian and his mum is a Chinese
The Melanesians black in the Pacific are descended from Australia
I like your answers to the questions asked. They were true and positive.
He should have also mentioned of ourside influences which exploit Africa.
What’s Jessy’s RUclips?
This is a decent interview. What would be better is more interviews with various people and their views of each other. 🙂
Good answers my brother. It’s interesting to hear about the perception of other races over Africa or Africans.
Even in Japan they ask us the same question
