rich are there any fuses in the dashdoard to protect the panel?
The correct bulb is a 2721. The 74 and 73 bulbs are a little to fat.

hello rich, did You repair your deployed Airbags? i habe also deployed Airbags and my questions are:
1. do i need to replace the springclock if cruise control is working and there are no noises while turning the steering wheel?
2. do i have to replace Sensors in the Front or is it only the Airbag module??
3. did You clear the Airbag light at a Ford dealership or can i also go to a normal Workshop?

In your opinion, which vehicle would you recommend someone to buy, an escape, a tribute, or a mariner? My wife is looking for a small SUV and those are the ones we are looking at. The years very from 2003-2008 for them. Any thoughts as a mechanic?
+Grandpastillgames Those three vehicles you mentioned are basically all the same.
There was a mid model refresh in 2005, headlights etc, and some interior changes. The sifter was moved from the column to the console. Making the storage a bit different up front. The Hybrid version was also introduced in 2005. However in 2005 they dropped the manual 4x4 switch on the dash. It went to a fully automatic 4x4 all wheel drive system that the computer controlled 2005 onward's.

Well we went with the 05 Ford Escape Limited and really my only problem is that the 4x4 keeps coming up saying it needs service as well as the breaking system, which that works fine. So I'll have to see what is the actual problem. That and the passenger airbag light keeps randomly coming on and then going out...kinda the same with the 4x4 light.
Any ideas?
I have a 02 escape and it's got 354,000 miles and has never had a major repair. Four cylinder five speed manual transmission.
What year escape is this you are working on?
