Helpful video... best part what I like is that it's explained why you should not touch the glass, instead using paper towel, otherwise you might will need to change that bulb again soon. Thank you for uploading!...
A great video and a perfect example of what's wrong with the design of automobiles since the turn of the century. I used to be able to change a bulb in 5 minutes on almost any car. Now you need a garage and a box of tools! For a light bulb. I think the manufacturers just worked out a way for us to sustain the after sales business. What a joke?!
One of the best videos I have seen. Precise explanations, clear video, no unnecessary unrelated stuff. The arrows were a nice touch. This is the way "help videos" should be done.
Thanks, Janice...glad the vid helped out. I adopted a format that acts as a video and repair manual...easier to follow along to if not sure how to to a repair. Again, thanks for the kind words...and thanks for watching!
Thanks so much for this quality video, very well done! Just can't believe how much is involved just to replace a bulb! I see why so many don't like Fords! I was always a Chevy/Chrysler guy, but went soft on Fords lately...now I'm seeing the error of my ways! LOL. Thanks again for your help!
Very well thought out tutorial. Even pausing to let a person who has never done this before think (it is that simple, I can do that). Keep making them this way and you will do a service for many people who will appreciate it. Great job/
Hey, man, thank you so much for posting this. It saved me so much money. I did the repair myself today. That was super gratifying. Really appreciate your video.
Thank you so much for this, it’s very clear and explanatory. It was the first time I attempted to do something like this in my car and it worked perfectly thanks to your video.
Thank you! It's a shame that something as simple as changing a bulb has to be an act of Congress...thanks engineers! Hopefully this will help someone out. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the kind comment, Brian. Above everything else, the main objective is "Did it help you get it fixed?" If so, then it did it's job. Thanks for watching!
Grease Monkey Fever Indeed you did. Am an Aussie pensioner on a tight budget. You made a difference. Theres more to this than just being helpful to others. This is the start of a whole new level of humanity thanks to people like you. Its time for the "good guys" .. Thanks.
No, Jeff, they don't want you to work on your own stuff...they want you to take it to the Ford shop and charge a huge amount of money for the simplest of things. Thanks for watching!
Great video. Today's automotive technology can be shoved up these engineers asses. Complex enough so you will take it back to the dealer and get shafted with the parts and labor bill and get pissed off. Hopefully this will come back on them someday. These fixes should be simplified.
Thank you for this. I can't believe some engineer actually designed this. It's just a reminder of the poorly engineered Ford pieces of shit that are out there on the road. "Fixed or repaired daily".
LOL...and the turn signals aren't the only thing (although, they did make them more accessible on later models). Alternator is a PITA, too. Hope you changed both at the same time, so you won't have to worry about them later. Thanks for watching, Katherine!
Grease Monkey Fever I was just joking around. I was able to do mine by just undoing a couple of the Christmas tree fasteners and not removing the whole inner splash guard. Thanks for the Informative video!
holy fuck the space where the connector is so cramped i completely scratched my hand trying to pull it out replaced the bulb but now i cant put it back since the space is so cramped y cant move my hand with the connector, gonna have to go to a mechanic tomorrow
It is WAY easier than this... here you have to disassemble more than what you need to access and change the bulb. Another video shows it much easier....
I'm following this video to do the same job only to realize my vehicle is missing the wiring that connects to the light bulb. Any chance anyone knows what that piece is called so I can order it?

Has to be one of the best removal and replacement videos I have see. Excellent visual without the need for too much talking. Great job

Thanks, Kamala...hope the video helped you. The format is necessary...no one would want to hear me narrate instructions. Thanks for watching!
Best instruction I’ve seen I like this better than someone talking me through it thanks for sharing

You don't know much about cars 😅 this is extremely easy and one of the most simple light replacements
A pain in the butt to get done, but the video not only gave me an idea of what I was in for, but it worked like a charm. Thank you!
Excellent instructions. The only thing I would add is
check the newly installed bulb once you have it in the socket before reassembling everything.
Hello from Germany. Thank you for this Video. It is very helpful🎉😊👍🏼👍🏼. Have a nice day...
Great tutorial thank you for everything my hands are just too big to fit. Thanks for everything.
Yeah, I don't understand some of these designs...especially for things like lights. They should be easy to change. Thanks for watching!
Very well thought out tutorial. Even pausing to let a person who has never done this before think (it is that simple, I can do that). Keep making them this way and you will do a service for many people who will appreciate it. Great job/
100% the best video on this repair. Well done!
The best way to make a tutorial. Nice and clean, very methodical and professional - great job! :)
Thank you for sharing! I’m going to try this on my husbands car
Hey, man, thank you so much for posting this. It saved me so much money. I did the repair myself today. That was super gratifying. Really appreciate your video.
Excellent quality of tutorial, thank you from Mexico
Thank you so much for this tutorial very helpful. I've successfully replaced my turn signal bulb on the driver side.
Thank you so much for this, it’s very clear and explanatory. It was the first time I attempted to do something like this in my car and it worked perfectly thanks to your video.
Thanks...glad it helped. Can't believe they made a critical light so hard to access. Thanks for watching!
Another exceptional tutorial, well done.
Thank you! It's a shame that something as simple as changing a bulb has to be an act of Congress...thanks engineers! Hopefully this will help someone out. Thanks for watching!
This is the standard that all other tutorials should be judged.5*

Thank you so much. Very helpful. Best video 👌
gotta watch a vid like this b4 I get around to buying LEDs for the whole front of my 2006 hybrid so that I have an idea of wtf I'm doing.
Thank you the best way to make a tutorial
all that to replace a turn signal, you would think they would engineer it a little easier than that.
No, Jeff, they don't want you to work on your own stuff...they want you to take it to the Ford shop and charge a huge amount of money for the simplest of things. Thanks for watching!
Wait till you have to replace the rear hub bearings. There is nothing simple or convenient on these Escapes. Especially the 4x4 version.
Steve LeClair well, the rear brake lights are easy to replace and the 3rd brake light lmao
Engineers don’t work on vehicles
Right!
Great video. Today's automotive technology can be shoved up these engineers asses. Complex enough so you will take it back to the dealer and get shafted with the parts and labor bill and get pissed off. Hopefully this will come back on them someday. These fixes should be simplified.
Thank you very much.
Excellent! Excellent, video.
Now, if everyone would make videos like this.
Especially for the AC clutch.
Works for Mazda Tributes. Thanks!
Good! Thanks for watching!

Repair shop cost:
$8 Bulb
$250 labor
That's insane! Thanks for watching
Grease Monkey Fever I was just joking around.
I was able to do mine by just undoing a couple of the Christmas tree fasteners and not removing the whole inner splash guard.
Thanks for the Informative video!
thank you bro!
holy fuck the space where the connector is so cramped i completely scratched my hand trying to pull it out replaced the bulb but now i cant put it back since the space is so cramped y cant move my hand with the connector, gonna have to go to a mechanic tomorrow
First question. How the hell do you get enough room to twist the bulb tight their is no room on my 2001 escape I have
Thank you!! 👌🏻
great vid. ty
Thanks for the help!!!
Thx for the help man🎉
Glad the vid helped, spacemarine. Isn't that a dumb design? All that to change a bulb. Ford. Thanks for watching!
u are the best ty.
Thanks a lot for interesting video ...
Thanks
Is it the same for the parking light, I can't seem to see where the access point is on this video
Possibly the most annoying vehicle I have ever worked on. Did me in on Fords completely
It is WAY easier than this... here you have to disassemble more than what you need to access and change the bulb. Another video shows it much easier....
For this reason we prefer Japanese vehicles.. its just a bulb, you spent half of your day and you remove the full front cover of the car 😬
hi, have you any information about the compatibility of headlight of 2002 model with ones of 2004 model??
They should be the same
My escape is just not like that. It has a rubber boot over it.
Your video is good, but no sound.
Wow could Ford have made it an easier
Not possible.
They made it as simpl...
Ah! Screw it! I can't even finish that sentence with a straight face.
I'm following this video to do the same job only to realize my vehicle is missing the wiring that connects to the light bulb. Any chance anyone knows what that piece is called so I can order it?
It's strange how it could possibly missing that wire, but try to Google search: turn signal harness
ridiculous consumer unfriendly design!
What a bunch of horse bleep for changing a $5 bulb!
It is frustrating! It’s a turn signal light! To replace it will cost me $600. Mostly labor.
Light bulb $5.
Thanks.
