Hello!!!
Another different one this week…
I went Solo Wild Camping on Grain tower Battery which is a tidal Sea fort that used to contain artillery guns to protect the river Medway and River Thames.
I will tell you more History about the place within the video.
I used the Fire Maple Maverick Wood Stove for the first time and I was impressed with how easy it was to put together and it’s ease of use… it was great for cooking and held my heavy cast Iron skillet with ease.
I cooked up some lemon chicken and slurped a few beers.
I was visited by a few people
Throughout the day and managed to stay undetected when I was up on the top by bringing the ladders up with me to stop people being able to get up.
It was great being “stranded” alone where I just shot some cans with my catapult and watched the river traffic going in and out of the Thames.
I had an awesome camp as usual and really enjoyed filming this one. I Really enjoy doing “out of the woods” camps as it gives me a little buzz.
Cheers as always for watching the videos it’s massively appreciated!!

No one is allowed to disturb me while I'm watching your latest video. I'm proper hooked. Thank you so much for all the effort you put in.
👌👌🔥💚
Subbed to this channel a long time ago just re discovered the channel I’m hooked again 💯👊🏾
2nd that ✌️
Hi Craig,
I grew up on Sheppey and worked in the Port of Sheerness throughout my 20s. Spent many a night shift looking over at that Fort, wondering what it would be like to camp in it. You have made my night!!
Check out the secret underground ww2 underground radio bunker at Hollingbourne in Kent. You'd love it. Some mental spiders down there though mate 😂
Love your video,s.
I,m a veteran and suffer from PTSD and I built my own gypsy wagon on a caravan chassis and spend most of my time traveling about in it. ( Mainly to get away from my nasty neighbour). Used to wild camp with my daughter years ago up in Scotland.
Keep up the good work.
Thank you Craig - always a massive treat when a new clip drops….
Love the woodland based content but also the ‘specials’ ..abandoned boats …roundabouts (first clip I watched) …underground bunkers and now a sea fort Good to mix it up …classic content
Your down to earth delivery, sense of humour and genuine love for the outdoors once again proves that bushcraft/wild camping is something that’s accessible to all …top blackberry picking tips as well !!!
A guaranteed authentic experience every time - Legend! 🌲🔥🤙💯
Thanks so much for that awesome
Comment mate !! 💚💚💚💚🔥
I grew up in grain and have fished off it before, just be careful you don't get caught otherwise the coast guard come get you and take you back to sheerness
Why do they do that?
@@moorshound3243 its actually private property because someone owns it so its trespassing.
Definately spooky af!
Haha😂😂 that knuckle dragger in the north face gilet lobbing that Boulder to impress his wenches.. priceless! 🍺
No wonder the pathway is in bits; it's gormless Twatts like him who are vandalising it.
I love estuaries, so your film was a treat, thanks.
Yo dude that was me and my best mate out bait digging, funny shit you filmed us!! We look like trolls 😂
Nice to meet you tho bro
I have spent two years on a bike with a trailer and my best freind and I stayed at a lot of churches now and again something random. A lot in east anglia. But a memorable night in Abbotsbury In an old Abbey. Really thick walls was amazing with my uke. Shhhhh open all night.
I really enjoyed your video. Whole place is that rusty looks like it is about to fall into the sea. When stealth camping I take the old 27 Trangia. Good in the wind and no smoke small and light weight.. Cheers Steve from Aus.
You’re such a lovely guy , very genuine . I suffer from PTSD since my army days and I think what you’re doing for the cause is great. I’d love to do this type of thing again and talk about mental health . Great content and good vibes 😊😊
Thanks so much dude and keep on keeping on mate

Great video, enjoyable viewing!
Such an interesting piece of history too
if you walk the Peddars, you must stay in Castle Acre, great little gem of a place.
Gosh that was scary at night, you are very brave.
They do say that it is haunted so that might explain the footsteps etc as per usual great vid 👍
Well done thanks for the vid
I come from the isle of grain originally, I first camped out there when I was ten. Plenty of fishing trips out there and was even shot in the head with an air rifle when I was 14. In fact in the same part you were camping.
Great little video! Makes me wish I didn't live across the pond! Keep it up, friend 👍
I know it well, walked out my self a couple of times, great to watch the ferry boats run in and around
Yay another cool camp 😁👌
Just found your channel. watching from Plymouth, Michigan USA.
Your hair ain’t a mess at all blowing in the wind there you look like he man 😂👍🏻, respect . Great camp , FairPlay bro , subbed 💯 cool vid

Haunted place this one. Had some amazing responses here really creepy on your own
Walked out there couple of years ago and did some metal detecting. Found some bullet casings and a couple of pre decimal pennies.
Those binos look badass bro!! Rip Simon. X
Good bits of kit mate
I grew up in the Grain area and went to school down the road back in the 70's and 80's. This was our local party location as a youth and I spent many nights tripping and smoking weed to acid house music while being surrounded by water. Had many encounters of the sexual kind up there, so many good memories. Back in the early 90's we had many raves up there, we organised them so the tide came up in the evenings so police could not shut it down. Also yes there was a brick road and the mud used to be lower than the road, girls used to walk up to that place wearing high heels so it was in a better state back then.
Mate that’s awesome 👌👌👌🔥
The sound near the end sounds like someone coming up the stairs 😱
get another belter cheers brother.
Another great video Craig.😊
Awesome vid man and the grub looked fab.
Love this place many childhood memory's on grain fort when I lived out grain..never had the guts to camp out though..never used a ladder to climb up on the first bit though but I guess it's corroded a bit more as it's been almost 25 years since I last went out there..got to have the brewdog though top beer 🤣
Just seen your Video on RUclips and thought what's this, looks interesting, low and behold i was hooked on your Knowledge on this Building/structure
I found your video interesting and inspiring. You remind of the program years ago called "citizen smith" with Robert Lindsay the actor. Thanks for posting and keep up the great work "Dude"

A camp spot with a retractable moat. Excellent location Mate!
💯👌👊
Loved this Craig. I can imagine how spooky it must get with all those sounds and shadows playing tricks but I imagine you've been in much worse.
That’s the one mate 👊👊
i find it amusing seeing what other words you call things.. like we say leash instead of lead for dogs. We say slingshot instead of catapult lol..im in florida, i have a buddy who lives here whos from south london i gotta ask him if hes ever been out to these forts
You let a dog off its leash, but you keep it on the lead, sling shot & catapult are two different things, David mashed up Goliath using a slingshot.
Adventures had and shared, so awesome!! All except the "massive spider" Mate!! Gave me chills just thinking about it.......
Haha 👊👊🔥 cheers mate
Loved this one. Very cool.
Thanks bud 👊👊
That was a really enjoyable bit of time out with you there, I like it when the tide comes in a sort of secure feeling about it and now your base, the traffic from the river constant and interesting and a just really good site with a bit of the chill about it , but i can see what you mean about the night-time shadows lol . very good one 5 *****💂
Thanks Peter ! 👊👊🫡
