Agree with the random AI setup, I had games the AI had a very efficient engine working and it blew me out of the water. When the engine isn't as efficient I was destroying it. Now, I have decided to just setup each round randomly rather than having a permanent setup.
I have heard the criticism that the order of the automa cards matters, but I don't understand how. It builds on the same cycle regardless, only the order of actions changes. You can see the order from the beginning of the game and react accordingly.
It can have a huge swing on points depending where those cards, most notably in the first round. Say the AI's construction card is put out first before it has resources to build, it can't build in that first round because it doesn't have any resources and it misses out on a ton of points that round.
Amazing review. I like reviews that are not afraid to be critical. Much much needed!!!
Subscribed to about 100 game review channels. They ALL point out negatives.

The cover art leaves a little to be desired but I think I neeeed this game.
The Automa is called Ivan, seriously?
The sequel’s automa will be called Natasha 😉
:-D
It's named for Ivan Yakovlevich Bilibin, a famous Russian illustrator and designer.
As if Ivan isn’t a popular name in Russia. Like John or Steve here.
