    95 people on stage.
I talked with the production company a few years ago.
They used 197 mics in this recording.

The female (Agnete Maria Forfang Kjølsrud) is a collaborator/guest singer, she is from a band called Djerv. Interdimensional Summitm is one of their new songs you might want to see.
Also should check out Dimmus older stuff, example a song called The Serpentine Offering. They had a member called ICS Vortex, his voice is unbelievable, and personally in my opinion he was the "true" voice of what made Dimmu Borgir amazing.

Agnete was a guest vocalist on the studio recording. It's great that she joined them for this recorded live show!

Oh, I’m so happy you enjoyed that! Dimmu is one of my favorite black metal bands, though as a norwegian I might be biased here lol. But for real, they’ve been ground breaking in how they’ve dared experimenting within the genre. I especially love how they had joik in Council of wolves and snakes. And of course throat singing, which Shagrath often mix into his vocals.
On your channel or not, check out Mourning Palace live at Wacken. Damn it’s good.

🤘 Dimmu Borgir 🤘 As overused as the word “epic” has been on the ‘Net, I think it totally applies to this band. Absolutely epic Norwegian symphonic black metal. (They have even used full orchestras on some of their studio albums.) Their dark grandeur is very powerful.

My favourite song from this concert is Born Treacherous.. Well composed song, with the orchestra playing hard af to the breakdown.
Many bands before played with orchestras, usually they are pretty good in putting a classical feel to songs. But the difference with Dimmu is that, their songs are deliberately written to have classical parts - so they sound much much better. They don't sound like the orchestra is forced to be there. As they really are part of the song.

This is pretty epic. I agree about “forcing” the orchestra. Metallica’s S&M was just awkward sounding which was disappointing because their songs were classically influenced from Cliff’s background. But, it just didn’t sound like the orchestra even belonged in those songs.

You are the first reviewer of this song who mentions those last powerful 40 seconds. Also brings a tear to my eye every time I hear it, and makes me hold my breath. Very powerful setup between the lead and female guest vocals (Agnete from the norwegian band "Djerv") It's also worth mentioning that the orchestra in this live performance is the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation Orchestra, commonly known as the Norwegian Radio Orchestra (Kringkastingsorkestret) or simply KORK. The US equivialent would be something like the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) They also performed with Dimmu Borgir on the following Wacken performance, which is also worth checking out.

An ex girlfriend lent me her copy of Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia. That is their filth album release from 2001. I am not the biggest fa of Dimmu Borgir, but I am forever grateful to her to exposing me to this genre of music. Oh, to turn the clock back twenty years! Anyway, many thanks for your reaction and analysis. I am tempted to send you a Patreon request but I know your list is a thousand plus and there are other bands I would like you to react to. Always appreciate your emotional response. It would be very easy for you to edit it out.

Great to see some Dimmu Borgir on your channel man! They've been around for a while, and of you want to get a feel for their older stuff, I would recommend DIMMU BORGIR - Mourning Palace (LIVE - FORCES OF THE NORTHERN NIGHT)

Saw them live at a multi day festival when I was a young teen. Sabbath and Primus played that same festival and Primus was the highlight for me. Bought the brown album a couple of days after getting home. Anyway, the only Dimmu album I have listened to actively is Stormblåst. They like those double bass drums.
