I, I just can't get over the fact that Hulk Hogan and Weird Al Yankovic are like actual major characters in this story. Like Hulk, fucking Hogan is a legitimate villain in the universe of VE.
If anyone ever asks me what Vast Error is about I'd tell them something along the lines of "Hulk Hogan and Weird Al are the leaders of an insane, murderous doomsday cult".
HAMIFI REALLY SAID 'BYE BYE' TO EDOLONS HAND! This animation was amazing!! Good job to everyone on the Vast Error team, it was definetely worth the wait!
God damn. The flashes in the comic have been beautiful so far, but I think it's easily completely surpassed the quality of literally anything from HS at this point, I can't even make comparisons to it anymore. This was fucking beautiful. The emotion in literally every single character's movement was arguably the best I've ever seen period, even down to the mooking jobbers, and the "cinematography" was downright breathtaking at some shots. Pacing was also damn near perfect, feels so much longer then it is in the good way. Just. Wow.
Would it be unfair to say I think this is much better than Homestuck? It just feels like if Homestuck was written with an actual idea of what to do and had really good art.
@@basketcaseface813 A year later but, I think there's a more nuanced way to look at it. Homestuck is, at its core weird. It's interested in telling a story as much as it is goofing off- and those tend to go hand in hand. Overall, I think both have stellar writing in their own regards. ( I respect Hussie a lot for being able to tie up loose ends, even if it's not always in the most satisfying ways. ) Homestuck juggles a lot and as a result has to worry about a ton of Chekkov's Guns that it ends up having to fire off so it doesn't become a problem of "Why didn't X do Y to Z" Vast Error while having a similar amount of goofiness, drops it for characters that are more easily relatable and likable ( Subjective but I feel like its just the case ) who have more room for growth. You also have to consider that in terms of VE, they're still only beginning their session and seeing what we saw with Mimesis and the Felt with Jack, I feel it'll get just as complicated in time. Though, for art I definitely have to agree for the most part. Remember that Homestuck is a mspaint fan adventure, so art quality wasn't the focus for much longer into it. And the Act 7 flash is gorgeous, I'd love to see if VE ends up surpassing it one day but I'd rather they just do what works for them instead of trying to meet absurd expectations. Overall, yes? no?

it might be explained later but was the part with Hamifi and Secily supposed to be showing that Hamifi secretly fears that the chief regulator is going to kill her? I wasn't completely clear with that scene but it looked like that was what was happening (or it could've just been Edolon choosing someone Hamifi knew personally to attack to make it have more impact, I'm not too sure)
From what we know something happened to Secily (presumably at the end of SBB) that has traumatised Sestro and Hamifi (we see Sestro hallucinate Secily as they walk past her office earlier in the intermission), I'm guessing Edolon was able to use his powers to play off of Hamifi's trauma.
I like to think that Hamifi thinks that she is responsible as to what (might have) happened to Secily, and Edolon manifested her guilt/trauma into Secily herself.
Frick, the Vast Error team has no business creating so many lovely background trolls just to mercilessly slaughter them all in one go. :( (I'm not really mad, just sad) (Forgot to mention! This isn't blame because I loved seeing all those trolls :'0)
pls i dont know whats going on here all i know is that theres a cool magic battle between sestro and edolon and that theres people shooting other people i skipped like half of what went on in the previous updates

If you look back into the comic you'll see Clarud mention a friend who's alchemic power made them rot to death. Now look at what happened to edolon's hand. It makes more sense for him to have been that troll's descendant
