Gigantamax pokemon have a set gmax attack. Gmax Blastoise with Bite doesn't learn a gmax dark attack. Gmax Lapras can't learn any other gmax attack, it's locked to Resonance (Ice)
@@BigGuyBurrito Dmaxes might be versatile but they are weaker. Your Max Geyser from Blastoise is much weaker than GMax Cannonade. And yeah you can use Max Darkness on Dmax Blastoise but it's going to be much weaker because it's not STAB and it's a DMAX move. Just build one GMAX for each type of move (18 Gmax mons total). Instead of building suboptimal mons and replacing them multiple times because they are going to not be as good, all you'll have to do is build 20 (18+2) Total mons to be set for whole Dynamax raids mechanic. You don't have to build every Gmax. Gmax Urshifu Rapid Strike> Blastoise Rillaboom> Venusaur
@jennifermccoy1324 you get stardust for it too..granted its not a lot but more than none. The poster is saying he w8shes theyd give more when doing this
@@jennifermccoy1324 rarely you can get candy for them, and the dust adds up! 3000 stardust every 30 minutes til you get down to the amount of berries you want to keep. :)
Im not really worried about it i lvl 50 all 3 dynamax starters and all 3 gmax starters, as well as 4* krabby and 4* fire bunny lvl 40 every thing else.
I feel the dynamax and gigantamax system will get a rework sometime this year. Currently gigantamax mons can’t use any other max move besides their gmax move. I feel they would change that
If you have a big enough group to get gmax why bother powering up gmax at all? Surely the dmax is more useful, you can change max moves, so usually duel typing, gmax locked to one.
@Tank-f7z the same reason people spend resources to get better IV/hundos. They are better. Say, you're building a Dynamax Blastoise with Bite for dark Dynamax move. Its going to be significantly weaker than mons like Gmax Grimmsnarl or Dark Urshifu. Or say you build a Dynamax Lapras with Water gun, it's still going to be much much weaker than Gigantamax Kingler. There aren't a LOT of GMAX pokemon. Instead of building a few suboptimal mons, just build the Gigantamaxes that are best for their type of damage. You can only bring 3 mons. So instead of building a bunch of level 20-25 Dynamax mons, just build a few Gigantamaxes. If you don't have resources. Then build Dynamaxes instead. But a lot of people end up thinking that that's a large group that will carry me and bring their unevolved Drilburs and Beldums and you'll end up losing even with 40 people.
Melmetal easy to get xl candy for but you need 150 xl to max out its 3 moves so still expensive with easy to get candy for.

This is what I thought so it doesn’t matter with snorlax he’ll get a normal attack prolly
I keep feeding my extra berries to Snorlax in gyms for the occasional candy. I wish we could get XL candy from that once in a while, too.

Would you consider making a video for tips and help with the GBL, please?
There are tons who specialize in this. Watch those for best advice
DanOttawa Pogo is the best. Although he is an acquired taste.
Lapras is the only ice type gmax pokemon so I doubt it’ll get replaced
Toxitricity is the only Gigantamax I own since the raids were the same day as an event! Otherwise there’s never enough players in my area to do them
And I live downtown!
Have to use campfire to find closest group none near me have to travel an hour but only way for me to do them
Thats the only one I want lol
I agree with Celadris. 😁
Thank you, keep up the good work.
