I do my study after I do my morning routine so I can focus on my time with God and not all the things I need/want to do.

That’s a great perspective too! It doesn’t have to be exactly how I do it but whatever way works best for you :)

I strive to have our time first thing in the morning but as mom, it’s not always the case. Some days I intentionally plan breaks in my day to sit with the Lord.. pockets of time when I’m alone.

I love that! Planning breaks in the day to spend with God, that helps me keep my mind of God so much during the day!

This was so beautifully explained. There was this wave of peace that took over me hearing your perspective of these verses. "ACCEPTING EVERY ASPECT OF GOD" was eye opening for me, I usually critisize myself whenever I read anything that feels relatable or hit too close to home...which is bad because I start convincing myself that nothing i'm doing is worth it cause I already did so much bad things ; But the way you explained God's judgement was like an A-HA , in a realization satisfied kind of way for me. My bible reading is about to be so different! I feel like i'm devoted to getting bible reading out the way , but you're so diligent with it ....and it really shows how passionate and present you were reading by the way you explained it.
    Anyways, Thank you. New Sub.

connecting with God in the morning is sooooo hard for me. but the concept of quiet time is so interesting I want to try it. Can you go in depth a little of what your quiet time is like? Like do you pray or listen to worship music?

13:52 “You can’t pick and choose which aspect if God you’re believing in”
Girl, if I could tell you how aggressively I said “Amen!” to this.
This is the first video of yours I’ve watched, and I loved watching you reflect on the Word.
I was eagerly waiting for you to bring it back to Jesus, and you did! It’s not only important for us to know the bible in context, it’s also important for us to see how it all points to Jesus. Yes, God’s wrath is scary to our human minds, but it’s a necessary part of him for us to be aware of, as it shows us how *far removed* our sins makes us from his holiness. It shows us the true depravity of our sin, as it shows us what the true (terrifying) costs are. And it shows us our need for a Saviour. When Jesus says “I am the vine and you are the branches” (John 15:5), this is the part of scripture he is quoting. He is telling the Israelites that apart from him they can do nothing. The Law is not enough. They will always stumble. But in him, and through him… through his atoning sacrifice… we are saved, healed and brought into right relationship with God the Father, as co heirs with Christ 🙌🏾
Thank you for sharing! You have a new sub from the UK.
Praying for your continued growth in Christ 🙏🏾 x

This video has definitely inspired me to get a devotional journal/study guide since i started with the book of John yesterday as a born-again Christian, I felt like Genesis was too draining for me to start with and I asked for God’s discernment on what book I should start with, and i felt Him saying to read John. It was an eye-opening read so far, still needing to read half-way, but I truly believe He is wanting me to read the entire Bible from start to finish. Any suggestion to disciplining ourselves to read the more difficult chapters like Isaiah? I love how you pray before reading for understanding, that really helped me with the book of John.
I am also searching for a good Bible to purchase for note taking (anyone tried the spiral Bible?) unless the devotional journal like your “Eden to Eternity” is enough for note taking? I think I always look for resources when I have all that I need, and just make excuses on spending my money when I should be saving 😅
Thank you and please keep sharing your notes from your daily reads! I would love to watch more “Study the Bible with me” vlogs from you! You have such a peaceful atmosphere about you, such as the way you speak and present yourself :)

Thank you so much for being here! John is a great chapter to read first.
The Bible Project is one of my favorite resources! They have videos on different books of the Bible. They are on RUclips and also have an app.
Outside of that, I love doing devotionals or even reading commentaries on scripture to help me understand more challenging reads!

John is the perfect place to start as a new believer, as it introduces you to Jesus. It makes sense that God led you there ❤ My advice (and yes I am just a randomer on the internet, so please discuss with a mentor from Church) would be to take a good amount of time concentrating on getting to know Jesus ( i.e. concentrating on the gospels and letters) before feeling burdened to read the other, “harder” parts. I think most of the time the hard parts of the OT are hard because we haven’t got a good grasp of the redemption story. Don’t get me wrong, ALL of the bible is good, and important to read 😅
Your comment about spending money made be laugh, because I can be the same. I challenge myself to only use free resources or things that I already have at home (even though I love shiny new things - especially stationary). You don’t need a journaling bible for note taking. Your regular bible and a notebook will do just fine 😂 depending on your learning style it can be good to write out passages by hand before highlighting etc. To help with understanding contect as Nelly said The Bible Project is a great resource. For commentaries I prefer the Matthew Henry Commentary - the concise version is easier to understand for the modern reader 😂
      Hope this helps x
