The Bridge of Sighs (Ponte dei Sospiri) is named that as it was the last view of Venice that convicts saw before their imprisonment. The enclosed bridge is made of white limestone, has windows with stone bars, passes over the Rio di Palazzo, and connects the New Prison (Prigioni Nuove) to the interrogation rooms in the Doge's Palace.
The sundial is on the Arsenal in Venice, which explains the rope and chain. The Latin motto “Ruit hora: labora” roughly means “Time flies: work!” I think it was a guide for dock workers to gauge the time from sunrise to sunset.
Dragii noștri! Tot au spus un "foarte bine"! Aveți respectul nostru. Sigur veți folosi Translate, așa că nu mai traduc în engleză. We were in Venice this year, in may. We are waiting for you back in Romania!

Ah great!! Italy has been in my bucketlist since 2000s lol. Planning to go there next year. Your video would be a good motivation fot me to collect more money 😄
Yeah, go before it sinks! 😂I've been there in 2009 for only 3 days. I miss it so much. Hopefully one day I can visit again and see those non touristy areas you filmed. By the way, go to Jordan! Petra is amazing, especially if you hike to the non touristy areas (unfortunately I couldn't do that😢) and go to the Dead Sea before it dissappears! No joke. I have visited this year and you can see a spot/sign where the sea level was in 2005 and realize how quickly the sea evaporated in the last 17 years. Thank you for another great video!
Some years ago, I visited both Doge's Palace and Basilica St. Mark's Basilica, and they are very beautiful inside. The queue of tourists was not that long and we had time to explore the essentials of Venice in a few hours. We came by train from Milan and returned the same day. After exploring many palaces in Western Europe, I found pleasure in visiting my country (Romania) and Balkan countries such as North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Albania, Croatia, etc.
I love Venice! I’ve been there after my civil ceremony. Great time of my life! You should go to Bakara Jazz Club one night. It’s not jazz music, but the vibe is awesome. By the way, the Aperol spritz recipe is venetian. Have fuuun!!! ❤
Hi, short feedback. Write your extra information on the top of the screen. Usually I am using the automatic CC and it covers your text. Good job. Love your videos.
Porchetta... you MUST try porchetta. My best experience in Italy. Also try prosciutto crudo and cotto. But not from supermarket. Try to find the natural ones
There are expensive private water taxis in Venice but also the "vaporetto", a public waterbus used by locals. There are 19 scheduled lines that serve locales within Venice, and travel between Venice and nearby islands of Murano, Burano and Lido.
The sigh Bridge - Il Ponte dei Sospiri , it's called that because this was the bridge that the incarcerated people from the building on the right would need to travel to be judged in the tribunal on the left. Something I learned in 🏫 school ! 😀
I am glad you went to Venice, but I wish I had known you before hand. Should you go back here are some tips for you and your followers: 1, if you go to the side entrance of San Marco, by the statues of the lions, is the "worshipers" entrance by 8:30am there is no line and no one asking; you, go in and over to a side chapel on the left where there is a Eucharist service in Italian about 40 minutes Afterwards you are free to wander before the tourist line opens at 10am. 2nd, I highly recommend "Row Venice" where for 80 E (1 to 4 people) you get instruction on how to row like a gondolieri, standing facing forward, and for 90 minutes you row around the canals. (I had a 10:30am appt.and since it was a midweek day in March the instructor lead me out onto the Grand Canal; it was an experience I will never foget!); 3d, purchase a 24 hour pass for the vaporato (water bus) then you can get on and off as many times as you want as you go around, and through the city, even out to the other islands. And, last but not least, Musica a Palazzo, for 80E you can attend 4 separate condensed operas in a palazzo with only about 35 others, includes a champagne intermission (you don´t have to attend all four, but in this city of music and opera going to one it is well worth it!). rowvenice.org www.musicapalazzo.com/en/
The fact is, in about 1300 in Italy, in Sorbona, was one of the oldest, and most pretigious High School University in the world. In the meantime, Romania was facing the Ottomans shielding somehow the rest of the Europe. So, in my point of view, Not facing the Ottomans allowed them to develop everything, in a much sustained rhythm. Italy always has been a pinnacle of development, and as we know, Romania is a latin Country. Romania in this moment still has a lot to offer, because it reflects a simpler lifestyle. A profound harmony with nature, and villages (As entities - The village - as a simpler lifestyle). Many other Westerners desire this kind of simple life.
Yeah.. Italy has many beautiful historic places / buildings. I remember even when I played those Assassin's Creed video games (with Ezio as the main character). I was happy to move around historical places and to even admire buildings 😄 (moments of ,,screw the mission that I need to do.. I m gonna admire this or that building'') 😄 ..and when AC 2 or AC Brotherhood was released.. the graphics for video games weren't even as impressive as the ones that are released (more) recently. But the game still was pretty enough to look at.
you'll miss the Romanian food...italian people don't eat that much...they have a much more lightweight diet but very good food nonetheless! enjoy the pizza as they have the best one that there can be!
Wow saya sangat senang sekali melihatnya, tersedia juga bahasa Indonesia, terimakasih, oh ya. Apakah disana menyediakan nasi jika ada ,berapa harga satu porsi nasi disana, jika saya berkesempatan kesana saya harus makan nasi 😁
La Republica di Venezia, La Serennissima, was the most powerful merchant nation in the world, before the Portuguese and Spanish took over, then the Dutch and English.
Kotor in Montenegro and all the cities along the Dalmatian Coast is the real ”Venice” deal, all of them like Split, Pula, Dubrovnik(now Croatia) and many more are all ”venetian”, because they were venetian 😉 LOL Locals know it waaay too well, even in Kotor(Munetenegru), but they wont make it public and they would rather say its croatian or monetenegrian, although its well known its venetian, coming from the former Republic of Venice which was killed officially by Napoleon 😉😃
1. what you have seen was not a shouting star, but a chinese satellite, you goofy* 2. "...without tourist involvement, just local people..." is gone now, with the help of that nosy owner. 3. my grandma used to prepare that kind of thin polenta in my childhood (in bucovina), adding small chunks of peppery sheep cheese (ripened in wooden barrels) and some sugar, served in a big cup i liked it with many lumps of raw cornflour. it is called "cir" (pronounced as "cheer") 4. it's "molto bene"; romanians use "foarte bine", but "mult bine" would be quite similar. * just kidding, i adore you: a totally charming couple!

👍 for not wasting time in a queue, instead getting lost and discovering new places is a next level in traveling.
