On the point about therapy, I wanna add that if you cannot afford to visit a therapist's office, please do you research online. RUclips is so helpful. You can start practicing mindfulness and meditation there and go as far as learning complicated techniques such as CBT and how to apply them in your day to day life to cope with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, drug abuse, etc.

To be honest i dumped two of my best friends on valentines day felt really let down, so what happened is they called me to make plans for galentines and i being the good intentional friend cancelled my plans with a potential boyfriend since im single to accomodate them only for both not to show up last minute and mind you i was already waiting for them in the venue still pissed off nkt!!
This happened to me recently, literally the same thing. When I tell you I had give it to God, hm! We’re moving passed it but it really hurt me. Being well intentioned can leave you vulnerable to the elements

It's been a minute. I'm damn so busy ,nowadays.I'm enjoying this conversation today. I exhaled out all the BS people, places, activities etc in my life. I feel good&in a great place since August 2022.On skin care routine, I've been pathetic since my youth. I turned older & in another climate(hot&sunny), but I hydrate a lot& wear a hat always. I love cucumber. I moved to the Coast&the frequent visits to the beach/ocean has melted my phobia of big water bodies. I'm learning to swim, yeaaa. Murugi's point about parking is so relatable. One time I went to CBD, my errands were uptown so lifestyle parking was appropriate. I found it full, I circled the building 4 times with hopes that some space will be available. 15th Feb here to give my feedback of how it went for me on Vals.I watched the episode of Valentines and communicated with manz what valentines means to me and what i would want for valentines. TURNS out he doesn't believe in Vals but said Okay. On 13th asked whether he had any plans in place and he said he had none i was like okay then am just gonna have a galentines 14th feb during the day he passed by my workplace no flowers no nothing i asked him again what plans he had he told me he had none and he asked what plans i had i told him a galentines we had planned with the girls to meet. Fast forward he texts me at 6 O'clock can we meet tonight we are gonna have a good time and you will not regret it am like what is this last minute plans you have am on my way to meet the girls what am i a back up plan or what so i tell him No we can do that whatever plans he has on 15th i already have plans in place so he texts me at around 10 where are you i told him with the girls he texts again " okay i had a gift for you and you would have loved it but you were not willing to sacrifice your time for me so you missed your gift just like that" 🤣🤣and then he goes ahead and adds "vals is all about sacrifice" today he called me like nothing happened yesterday i told him i want out we are not in high-school anymore abeeg.Its a new relationship we met last year Dec

Therapy is overated. You go there with one problem then all of a sudden you have a problem with your spirit,your father was toxic, mara your mother was sijui hurting you, mara your fence had thorns, do the problems ever end, 1hr and they are minting your money for letting you speak to yourself. For me, having a great support system, great friends,a good spouse, you identifying your weaknesses and working on them and being an intentional human being beats therapy any day any time. Sad you have a negative perspective over something that actually points out on things that will improve your self being. Family, spouse and friends won't always be authentic and unbiased. Nevertheless to each his/her own

But chances are that medication will be at your own cost. Therapy is overated.
You go there with one problem then all of a sudden you have a problem with your spirit,your father was toxic, mara your mother was sijui hurting you, mara your fence had thorns, do the problems ever end, 1hr and they are minting your money for letting you speak to yourself.
For me, having a great support system, great friends,a good spouse, you identifying your weaknesses and working on them and being an intentional human being beats therapy any day any time. Huko utaambiwa hata shida haziko kwa dunia

I turned 17 exactly a month ago today but I'm too old for/to:
1. WASTE TIME. I'm just too old to be sitting hours and hours having small talk or staying in an environment where I don't want to be. Like at the end of the day, "Whose time am I wasting?" Mine. So I'm not doing that anymore.
2. I'm too old for friendship drama. I won't even explain that but I'm just too old for it. Those who get it, get it😉
3. I'm wayyyyyy too old to be guessing people's emotions. I can't with the passive aggression. Like even if I know you're hurting, your choice to stay silent and just act shitty gives me all the right to distance myself from you until you're old enough to have a normal human conversation about it. I can't keep mothering you, I'm too young to be a mother🖐🏽 I'm done‼️
4. I'm too old not to take responsibility for my own behaviour. Need I say more?💁🏽♀️
5. Be spending recklessly in the name of 'money comes, money goes' I'm too old to be financially irresponsible.
6. Not be able to defend myself. Like just looking on while I'm being disrespected... No please🙌🏽
7. I'm too old to "fix people". It's okay. I'll find the fixed ones. I know I'm not perfect but henceforth, I actually want to be around people that are mentally fulfilling and better than me in a lot of aspects. I've taught for too long. Now I only and only want people to learn from, the right way... Not through heartbreak and disappointment.
