- Glory to God for the gifts that He has given me. If not for Him, I would be nothing.
Welcome to a new series I’ll be doing on this channel called moogbassmonday!!! I will be uploading a new synth bass cover each week so stay tuned and subscribe if you’d like to be notified when the video drops each week.
I decided to kick things off with the song “I Wish” by Stevie Wonder because this was actually the first SW song I ever learned on piano. It really sparked my love and passion for funk music.
I hope you enjoy! Thanks for watching!
3:59 That modulation!
The modulation was the original recording. But he put in some pitch bend wheel.
Hard flex with the record
Wish you were still posting vids man! Sick playing
Damn that is precise control. Most don't know how hard it is to lay back and nail the notes that tight.
Thank you so much!
good funko pop, good vinyl, good synth, good player.
beautiful.
Hahaha thanks!
Man that brought back some memories!!! Keep on giving God the Glory!!
Absolutely! Glory to God forever!! 🙏🏼 Thanks for watching and commenting :)
Excellent! I've been watching synth bass play-along videos all night trying to psyche myself up to try it myself. You sir, get extra points for playing along with the vinyl. Peace \/.
Thank you! You should really try it! It’s a load of fun 😊
@@emiliorivera1045 I'm thinking about starting with Ain't Nobody. That seems to be a popular synth bass line to cover and doesn't seem too difficult. Please stop by my channel if you get a chance. You might find something you'd like. ☺
Ooh that’s a good one! Your channel is great btw - love your modular videos! Keep it up!
Thanks! I have a pretty wide taste in music, from Metroid to Michael Jackson, - I cover them all. ☺
😱🤩🤩🤩 yaaassss!!! Such a cool, well-done video; love the opening too 👌🏼😄
Thanks Bre!!! ❤️
gawd damn homie
Love it! Awesome job my friend! :D
Thank you so much for the kind words!
So cool!
Thanks man!
Ok, this is my new place to hang out, although I still need that 24k magic patch, you need to make presets for this thing 🔥
beauty!
could you please explain how to patch that first glide in slide ?
or slide in glide :D
Steppin on Nathan East is never classy. EEK! Good job none tha less.....
I believe you mean Nathan Watts but yes I can’t come close to either of those legends! Thanks
@@emiliorivera1045 Yes, I typed Watts and it "corrected" to East. Huh? Anyway, good sounds.
Haha I hate when auto correct does that. Cheers man!
Love the channel
Thank you!! Happy you enjoy it.
this is siiick
Thanks!
Awesome!! Your sound is dead-on.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it.
Could you explain how you created this classic stevie bass patch? I'm very sorry if you already have
Sweet!! Was this made using the factory presets?
Thank you! This was actually made using a custom preset I made for the Sub Phatty.
MnL Music nice! Is it something you are able to share?
Sure! Do you have access to the Sub Phatty Editor Plug-in? If so, I can see if I can email you the preset.
MnL Music Yes, if you could email it that would be awesome!🙏 -> robozagato@gmail.com
@@emiliorivera1045 Would you mind sending it to me a well? ---> Martin-iversen@outlook.com 😉
👍🏼
I love that bass sound! So much balanced but still powerfull, great job!! May I ask you if you used both oscillators or just one of them?
Thank you!! The Sub Phatty is a great synth. To be honest I can’t remember. I believe I used two synced oscillators but had the level on the second oscillator very low just to add some subtle harmonics.
What is that vinyl player called?
It’s the Numark PT-01 Touring
How do you achieve that glide slide sound right at the beginning ?
That’s actually just the sound of the patch! Nothing special tbh
Emilio Rivera do you have Instagram?
Yes I do! I don’t post much but it’s @milimoog
perfect hhaha
It's electric bass not synth bass, still cool cover though
It's bass on a synth. Electric bass is a stringed instrument bud.
@@Rad-Dude63andathird yes I know what it is mate, I play it. This track has electric bass on it, not synth bass 'bud'. Its also doubled by the low end of the Rhodes.
To clear things up: yes, I am well aware that an electric bass is used on the original. I used the words “synth bass cover” because I am using a synth to play the bass line. I was not intending to imply that the bass on the original track was a synth.
Incredible!!!!
