He also wrote the amazing series ‘Enlightened’ which was pure therapy for me and my corporate-working friends! When I watched it I wrote him a gushing fan letter explaining how powerful the series was and what it meant to me. And then I later tore it up thinking I was stupid for writing it and that he wouldn’t be interested in reading it. Wish I remember what it contained 😄 But I still hold that show in my heart. Maybe if I watch it again I will write an essay on how much I love it 😄

Between Mike stumbling around, wine in hand, lethargically looking for Angelina's idol clue, and his hilarious face at 9:58, I love Mike's late-game edit.
And now he created The White Lotus and has 3 Emmys.
Really good show. Such dry humor but so well written it’s hilarious.
That's what brought me here.
I binged both seasons before finding out the director was on Survivor. Had to see if I remembered him on Survivor and yes I do!
I was also surprised to find out that he wrote School Of Rock. I know that he stared in it.
Talented writer, actor, director.
Also, Cara and Angelina from his season of survivor are the ladies talking to Daphne in the last episode of White Lotus 😂

Before Cody was LIVIN, Mike was LOVIN. You can clearly see Mike is enjoying every ridiculous second on the island. He always finds the humour in the absurd and revels in the bumbling duplicity of his tribemates. Also, it was great that he gave his Survivor buddies Alex, Kara and Angelina parts in The White Lotus.

Honestly, Mike is a great player. The fact that he is hilarious and also controlled some big vote outs like Gabbie, Christian, and Davie.
He grabbed the inch the Davids gave with Gabby causing a self-implosion and turned it into a near-perfect second half of the merge

“Can I Opt out of the opting out” probably one of the most underrated survivor quotes it’s absolutely hilarious
Gabby said that the reason the crucifix challenge lasted for hours is that production forgot to tell them the rule that their back must always touch the main pole. You see it in SJDS for example where the challenge lasted way shorter.

As much as I love nick as a winner, Mike is easily one of my favorite runner ups. Either one wouldve deserved the win
Mike deserved the win easily but he basically told the jury he didn’t need it. Nick was meh.
I was rewatching Modern Family, and I realised that Mike is the real life version of Mitchell Prichett.
The only reason Mike didn't win is because he started out as a Goliath.
And his money.
According to post game interviews, Mike was winning going into the FTC but it seemed like he was holding back, presumably because he's already a millionaire.

@@darkaero yeah, most big studios go from completely different pitch teams to writing to the animation stage, so Mike, and may I add co-writer Eric Siegel, were given the plot and key points the producers/director wanted to include, and had to make a story around those parameters, then present it to the producers/directors and go through any rewrites they require. Also, there was a production crunch and the film took only two years to make. Mikes a pretty talented guy despite a few dud projects.

If I were to make a prediction I would probably say Hayden would be the first one to do it. Amazing Race casts a lot of players from other shows as is, so it seems likely. But I would be so much happier if it was Mike first.
I love how Mike sees fascinating stories in everything / everyone - it's what makes him so great at what he does (inside and outside of Survivor)!

DvG is hands down the nest season of Survivor. Wish Davie could have taken it but glad A David got the win. Fitting for the narrative. Crazy to think in the edit ep 1 Nick's name was on the chopping block.
Derek Lewis DvG really wasn’t that excellent of a season. Certainly not the worst season, but nowhere near being the best. I think the title of “best season” probably has to go to Borneo, Micronesia, or HvV.
I agree, I also think DvG is absolutely the nest season of Survivor. Now, more importantly, what is the egg season and what is the bird season? I'm losing sleep over this shit.

Gabriel Camilleri Jeff Probst invited him over for dinner in between Cagayan and SJDS and during that period Jeff mentioned they'd use Redemption island again until Mike said "Oh you're doing redemption again?" which made Jeff realize how much RI had overstayed it's welcome. Now it's dead, laid to rest, gone, finito, done, period.

One of the rare seasons where it was a toss up at the end of who deserved it. I’d prob have given it to Nick though just cause Davids we’re down like the whole game and still one of them (Nick) was able to claw his way to the win. Would’ve been curious to see how Mike would’ve done in winners at war though.
