Is a Replica KTUNED Shifter Any Good? (RSX/DC5)

- Happy New Year you guys!
This past Christmas my girlfriend got me a replica Ktuned Race Spec Shifter so I finally got to install it a few days ago
I show you guys the install, and review of it here as well as some issues I had when unboxing and installing
*I’d rate this shifter as a 7/10 with the lack of quality control being it’s only weak point
*With it’s ~$100 price point vs the $500 price of the legit shifter I believe the pros outweigh the cons on this one
*if your looking for a shifter to handle AutoX or Track Events... DO NOT BUY
*Its a good show piece and that about it!

That looseness is usually caused by the shifter cable bushings where they connect to the shifter itself. They are white and wear out causing play. Hybrid makes a Delrin set for $25.

I have one and I am looking to get better bushings and springs for the shifter itself. After replacing everything else with upgraded parts I realized the shifter itself needs better parts to be decent.
The red light ties it all together..I’m think of getting one of these off brand shifter
They’re decent for the money but eBay brands do not have quality control, it’s better to invest an extra 20 bucks and purchase from Maxpeeding Rods at least they have better customer service and I believe they may have a warranty as well! Good luck bro! 🤟🏾

Do you have your shifter bushings changed, derlin bushings changed and detent springs changed ?
I do have Hybrid Racing shifter cable bushings and detent springs and base bushings, just not the derlin bushings, I do have shift selector springs waiting to be installed I’ve just been lazy lol
The shift selector is easy just have someone with you so you don't drop the pieces I had my brother take the nut off while I swapped springs really fast lol I have a rep shifter and after doing derlin bushings it tightened up and adjust it down on the adjustments remember its fully adjustable
@@NbsJosh Yeah I’ll probably do the shift selector springs this upcoming weekend, and I tried adjusting the bottom nuts but they don’t do much except loosen up the shift play, but for now it’s feeling tight and notchy

What bushings and bolts do I need to mount this I have the same shifter and it didn't come with any hardware to mount it
Ah man my mistake I forgot to mention that I had to buy Hybrid Racing hardware, luckily my friend had a set that night

Way shorter and more notchy, definitely in love with it, can’t go wrong for the price, the center console fitment is a setback though unless you have a little dremel
Lol why the hell would you want play in it I have one and love it and my car is track used no problems at all

Yessir, so far I’ve been driving 800 miles a week, doesn’t feel too bad but I’m still saving for a hybrid racing shifter
