    One of the OG's of the new wave of Japanese metal. Fantastic band and lovely band members!

    They have a Bloody Bride mascot come out on stage during the breakdown when they play this song live in Japan. It's so fun to watch. There are a couple live versions out there. Natsumi is their "super" drummer they picked up from another very cool band Telecide. She became available when they called it quits. Original members Kimi (Vo) and Hari (Ba) formed Bridear in 2011. Their whole catalog is varied from pop rock to metal. They even covered Arch Enemy's The Eagle Flies Alone earlier this year when AE was touring Japan.

    Thanks again guys, glad you enjoyed it. Bridear are one of my top bands from Japan, not just because I enjoy the music but also when I was lucky enough to meet them at UK gigs they just seemed like lovely people as well.
    I could be wrong but I think this album is where they started singing mostly in English, and they have a varied sound across their albums incorporating lots of different styles.
    If you want a little heavier, they've got heavy. Try Thread Of Light: ruclips.net/video/enbjKqMOTe4/видео.html or Light In The Dark: ruclips.net/video/UxSrOqAxaKw/видео.html - these are their old lineup, with only the singer: Kimi & Bass player: Haru still the same.
    Or if you feel like a recent live performance with the current lineup try Ignite ruclips.net/video/C0-_u9SYspE/видео.html

    ... and Natsumi (drums) doesn't even consider herself to be a great drummer ... I saw them live two years ago and they didn't disapoint, I actually was attending the concert out of curiosity and after a couple of songs, I became a fan (and still am).

    Great reaction guys, I love this band wish they were more popular. Love them for their music, but also for the fact they were one of the first bands from anywhere and certainly from Japan to tour during / at the end of COVID and they actually came to my coutry Scotland which Japanese bands don't seem to do. I saw them in Glasgow Scotland October 2021 and again September 2022 and they were so good both times.. Natsumi the drummer was awesome at the first concert but she had even managed to get even better by the concert 11 months later. The twin guitars were great. Note by the time of the second concert the lady with the blue guitar Misaki had left and was replaced by MOE . MOE gels very well with the other guitarist Ayumi (my favourite along with Natsumi). Love this song but unlike you I like the one you did before Brave New World Revisted just as much, even though it is quite different, a lot more proggy, but then I am old enough to have loved a lot of the prog bands in the 70s

    Natsumi has drum playthrough videos on their channel (including this song), you should definitely react to those. She is one of the best imo. Check out the one called Road. One of my favorite songs from them. Your mind might be blown.

    "Bloody assentation into madness" Love that statement. Also I have never stolen a riff in my life.... but I have been heavily influenced by a sonic experience.

    This song is quite representative of their current sound. It's Brave New World Revisited that is the anomaly (and also my favourite Bridear song, but I do like their other stuff a lot too). If you guys loved this, you should definitely react to more stuff from their last couple of albums.

    11:03 That pretty well sums up my thoughts when I started checking out Bridear. 😄There are cool, or otherwise fun, curve balls like that, but also a lot of good melodies and hooks. This song isn't among my favorites from them, but I got more from it thanks to this reaction.

    Saw them play live in Tokyo, Natsumi absolutely slays on the drums live, she was the standout. next would be Ayumi, guitarist on the right, but Natsumi was the highlight.

    Can anyone tell me a normal drummer (w) from Japan who doesn't hover over everything?

    • @bonered9210

      haruna from lovebites is japan's best female drummer.

    • @Oldmarty
      @Oldmarty 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@bonered9210 I don't like this The Best. I can name you 10 others that are also the best. Each of them has their own style and skill and that's what makes them all special. I think Haruna and the others just shake their heads when they read that. Most of them know each other, and some of them have already played with the others as a substitute for concerts. They would never say I'm better than this or that or the other.

    • @Hogie-iv8bd

      what do you mean "hover over"?

    • @Hogie-iv8bd
      @Hogie-iv8bd 8 месяцев назад

      @@bonered9210 oof no way, don't get me wrong, great drummer 10x better than i ever was or will be, but all things considered she is very much in a single style, fills, rhythms, etc. I've Seen 4 of these popular(ish) hardrock/metal Japanese bands live and have all of the albums from all 4 of them, and like all of them very much but ALL things considered 1 Akane, 2 Tamu, 3 Natsumi, 4 Haruna. Style, composition, technique, fills, changes, live performance, patterns, speed, etc... My weighted bias is uniqueness of composition and execution live. Now maybe we could argue lovebites being singularly a power metal band and gives us only one view of her...sure, but since that all we see puts he at #4 in this list.

    Well, you guys just hear the real Bridear you listen to Ignite or Goul. BRIDEAR, FATE GEAR, Mary's Blood are the most underrated Female Japanese but the better Metal Bands in my option. Thanks for the reaction, guys. When the third member of your band going set in?
