Lily is like a breath of fresh air , she is intelligent , she conduct herself very gracefully , she is funny and very beautiful, everyone looks happy around her .

Went to the same school reena went to years later and honestly sad to say nothing changed at that school…. I was told something very unsettling and when i went to a teacher they made excuses and did nothing about it. Seeing reenas story be shared and talked about after hearing her story pretty much all my life, is big and im so glad its being told.
She is going to be in the Met Gala OMG I’m so excited can’t wait to see her dress 😘😘😘😘

She seems so sweet, genuine and down to earth. Plus is a great actress. I think she should've won for Killers of the Flower Moon. Hope to see more of her in future.

Bullying is a tool that society uses to keep the sub groups in line. When it comes to children, schools turn a blind eye to it because the schools don’t want to deal with those sub groups (i.e. the weak, gay student, minorities, female); etc… the normal needs of the students. The bullies use their strength in numbers and status to enforce the norms and standards onto those sub groups.

Reena’s family were outspokenly against her story being told this way. It’s a shame they waited for her mother to pass away, then made it anyway.
I think she’s gonna win for best actress this year for this movie. I don’t why I’m getting a strong feeling.

I lived in Victoria BC this story is so sad
As a Canadian woman of colour the story of Reena Virk hit me hard. I grew up in a homogenous white neighbourhood and experienced years of daily racial bullying. The school did nothing. There was no anti-bullying or racism awareness at the time. My parents were the only ones who stepped in to help me. What really shocked Canadians was not only the sadistically cruel nature of the torturous murder of Reena Virk, but that it was at the hands of young girls. I cannot imagine the gut wrenching pain her family went through for years.
I haven't seen the series, but it really sounded like Lily Gladstone was making excuses for the criminals. Bullies come from all social classes. They are not all hurt, powerless people.
Rena Virk’s death was not about restorative justice. It was about bullying and hatred. It was about swarming behaviour and kids being afraid to speak out. Lily may feel sorry for the murders but no one in Canada does.
Another terrible "diversity" cast...sigh. Pass.
The show is based on the true story of an Indian girl who was murdered. The amount of ignorance in your post is staggering. White men aren’t the standard from which everyone else is a deviation.
It’s a really good show. You’ve got plenty of shows with white male casts. Just take your pick.
this is based on a real life case in Canada in the mid 90s. The murder victim was an Indo-Canadian and her killers were white-Canadians. The setting is an Indigenous community. It's not a diversity cast - because it was real.
