    Perhaps look for another mini reissue that you know fits your style better and that may help you let go of the pink that doesn’t work. For the brown, that would look great with any monochromatic outfit like navy, green, even red. I’d look for shoes and accessories in that same rich dark brown to help pair it. Also mixing dark neutrals looks great. So wear the dark brown with black and dark red all at once. I think the dark brown has more versatility than the pink. The pink one seems easier to let go of.

    These are both beautiful bags but after many decades of luxury buys, I've discovered that if I don't reach for something, it has to go, even if I like it. I've tried talking myself into using things but found it ultimately doesn't change anything. At this point in life I just want to own things I actually use and have a purpose (and that applies to everything).

    I had the same issue with a red bag that I own. Every time I went to use it, I wound up reaching for another bag. Until the moment I got angry with myself, thinking you have it you spent a lot of money for it, use it. Once I put all of my things in it, and used it, I wore it every day for weeks! Just put your things in the brown Chanel and use it. It really is a neutral, and will work with so many colors once you break the mental block. I would wear it with the yellow sweatshirt you are wearing, maybe put a denim jacket on as well and out the door. Style it as if it is black. Once you break through the mental barrier it will get easier. The pink I think is harder, it is definitely a salmony pink, so not a neutral, but warmer colors will look great with it.

      Great advice 👏🏽
      I don’t use my mini rectangular which is red caviar, shw. I love 💕 it but I find it elevates my look too much. Even with jeans and t-shirt.
      But I’ll do what you’ve said and I’ll try and use it move.

    I have a mini square in the exact same pink from this collection. I found it impossible to really style this bag. So this week, I decided to sell it and it’s already in consignment. I feel very good about it, when a bag doesn’t work, it just doesn’t work.

    Hi! I think you could totally wear that brown Chanel with your exact yellow hoodie and denim blue jeans. 👖I actually do have some suggestions on how to style the jumbo more casually in my video on big bags on a petite frame. I hope you can find new life for that bag! It’s so pretty! 😍

  • @MelissaAdams-Wade
    @MelissaAdams-Wade Год назад +1

    I think brown goes great with black. Wear your black jeans with your camel coat, any neutral color top and the brown jumbo and you have a beautiful classic outfit. Another outfit idea would be a pair of denim jeans, a linen top (any color will do but a navy would look great) with a pair of dad sandals or chunky sandals and your brown jumbo.

    Sometimes it helps me to get a pair of shoes or belt that matches the bag to help me style it and “ match” or look more pulled together. Speaking for the brown it would easily pair with green, beige, khaki and denim. Try to just commit to wearing it! Don’t sell it. The pink I would sell and get a different color.

    I would sell the pink bag. It can be hard to style those kind of colors if your wardrobe isn't centered around them. I'm thinking Dayle from Dayle's Addiction - those tones work for her. I'd keep the brown one jumbo. Brown goes with anything, even black. It just needs to be styled with intent. And not like, oops, I thought this was black, but in natural light, I realized it's not. Pair a chocolate brown sweater with black leggings. Add black ballet flats and the bag. Boom! It's all cohesive.

    I would sell the pink one, I personally think it’s a strange color and I can’t imagine how to style it despite liking colorful bags. I would not sell the brown bag simply because it’s a classic. I love brown, sometimes more than black even. Maybe if you just get over the fact that it’s brown and “doesn’t fit” your outfits, you’d get a lot of use out of it. But honestly, at the end of the day, if you’re feeling they way you’re feeling- just sell both. You’re likely going to feel the same way 6 months from now.

    I would love to buy your brown jumbo but it would probably be in a price range that I’m not ready to cross into. That said, I think you should keep it. You seem thoughtful in your purchases, sometimes agonizing over them. Maybe agonizing is too strong of a word but I hope you know what I mean. You didn’t buy this bag on a whim. And you think you’ll regret it if you sold it. And you sold other bags that you regretted selling. That hesitation tells me you don’t want to sell it. So don’t. It’s not like you need the money. You can always sell it later if you ever feel differently about it.
    I can’t remember off the top of my head…have you done a bag collection video or an updated one? Maybe doing one might give you a new perspective and push you one way or the other.
    As for styling I can only speak for myself. I don’t really care about being fashionable. I just care about being comfortable. And comfortable almost always means casual. And I think almost any bag can work with casual. The whole time you were holding that jumbo I kept thinking that the yellow hoodie you were wearing would work.
    The only time I would care about whether a bag goes with my outfit is if I needed to be dressy or formal. I can’t remember the last time I had to be either.

    Coral is not pink. I'd sell it.
    I had the same issue with an orange Celine bag. I never regret selling it because I subsequently bought bags in colours I love. On the other hand, I think you should hold off on the brown Chanel, it's more rare & brown is trending for Fall.

  • @lindapassos
    @lindapassos Год назад +1

    I think the big chanel looks great with that yellow sweater 😅 the brown on camera looks black so not sure exactly how brown it is 😅 but brown looks great with all the fall colours and I'm almost sure you have them in your closet 😊 About the pink re issue not gonna talk cause I don't like pink nor would buy any pink anything 🙈 but that's me 🤷🏼‍♀️
    I'm more classic colours in spite of having a couple true reds in the mix 😅 but I usually go more for the black, brown, tan, navy, forest green and burgundy bags/shoes so it makes it easier to pair 😊 I basically pair the bag with the shoes/boots not that much with the clothes 😁 But I wouldn't sell now and especially the vintage one since it's a bag much harder to find in that condition 😅

    Get a blush bag…..i dont do pink and got my blush bag by mistake as my S.A. pulled the wrong color and
    I did not realize it until I got home but surprisingly when I tried it on it was nice and that color although sort of blah actually looks good with a lot of colors so I kept it and it has been worn so much. Might see you in Japan..I’m going early October specifically to shop plus I luv Japan as my mom was Japanese. You will luv it…the people are so nice, the country is very clean and it is so safe.

    Wait a bit and if you still feel that way then sell. Don’t rush into a decision. Personally as much as they are beautiful I found find those colors difficult to pair with my style as well. I tend to prefer black to brown. I used to have brown pants because I felt like I ended them but I never wore them. It would be the same way with a bag.

    Best to sell them if you’ve been thinking about it. The mini 2.55 can easily be purchased pre-loved or at boutique. The vintage one, if not sure how to style with it, no reason to hold onto it unless you’re a collector.

    The mini reissue is a brilliant bag however I totally agree it’s just not your colour. Even seeing you hold it up it does clash with your undertone. Gorgeous but yes very much a coral colour. I got a fuschia pink in the mini and while the colour works for me I just cannot do high colour so I sold it brand new and I am now looking for a black leather or black velvet which is what I am certain I will wear. Such a brilliant bag though I like even more than my 226.

    I feel your pain on styling dark brown. I just inadvertently bought a pair of vintage coach shoes in a brown so dark they looked black on the screen. They just came back from the cobbler and they look fantastic, but I'm already wondering how the heck I'm going to style them. I'm not a "bag must match shoes" person, but I keep standing in my closet scratching my head.
    Maybe try grey with it?

    If you don’t need to sell, then keep the brown but the pink definitely can go to fund a different 2.55 as there’s nothing notable about it. It doesn’t matter if it was a great find or a bargain, if you don’t reach for it or don’t particularly enjoy it then what’s the point of keeping it? I also don’t understand why you may want to buy back a bag that was sold because it wasn’t being used. If you didn’t use it the first time you had it, surely you’re unlikely to use it the second time for the same reason? 🤷🏻‍♀️

    I think that it was rude because they were allowing it with the group of girls. I will leave the store if I am treated rudely, so the tactic doesn’t work with me. The last time that I was in LV, I was rudely treated because I was in the store with my autistic boy. He was much younger, and was stimming. Because of this, I decided to stick to secondhand with them, this far. That said, with all of the “super fakes”, I think that I would want to order online and either collect in-store, or have it delivered to home if I will be able to be there to sign for it. I am thinking of purchasing a Neverfull BB. I have a painted MM, but I have never used it simply because it is so big, and it looks fake and tacky to me, even though it looked amazing online. 😂 It isn’t, but I think that the fact that so many are carrying fake MMs around, and the fact that it is a limited edition design, I just feel self conscious with it. I love my Graceful MM and my Pochette Métis Accessories, though. I carry the Graceful with my Pochette Métis Accessories inside of it. 😂

    Interesting to hear your thought process. Lots of people get a mental block about brown versus black bags. I personally loooove brown. It looks lovely with other shades of brown, beiges, blues (including jeans!), greys, oranges and black. At some point I decided that Brown and Burgundy just Go With my hair color (very deep auburn that often looks like deep chestnut = brown), so I don’t have the hesitation I used to about something I would’ve thought needed a black or matchy-matchy bag. Whatever outfit, I…always have my hair, ha. (Well, fingers crossed I guess!) I think you’re a dark brunette (video lighting can be tricky - maybe it’s more black?) so that goofy way of looking at it might work for you too!
    Agree with everyone saying just TRY wearing it once or a few times (and that it looks nice with that yellow sweatshirt). You may be surprised how it can work casually. But I totally understand being picky about where you wear a jumbo CF.
    The salmony/coral Mini Reissue is pretty. 🩷🧡 Makes sense to consider replacing with another color if it doesn’t suit you or fit current wardrobe. But if you once loved it I’m all for giving it time if selling is not a necessity.
