yeah you'll need something different normally. if the set up or ur dream is meant to be this way, then it will feel normal. try making a habit of poking ur hand or looking at a clock twice to the point the habit gets to ur dream too. usually when u try to poke ur hand in ur dream, it'll go through, and your brain will realize what's happening and will lucid dream. or looking at a clock twice, the hands will change immediately and trigger the same thing. lot of ppl managed to start lucid dreaming like this
