I think it depends on the client. All of them are different. Most of the clients don't need a long report with unfamiliar metrics. Ask your client and customize an individual report.
I use Google Data Studio. Spent many hours working on a template. Then customize it for specific clients. Almost all my clients' data is in Google Ads and/or Analytics, with some Search Console data too. So it's a relatively simple set of tools that need to talk to each other.
