please clarify the CGT applied to those properties will be purchased on or after 1 july 2024 or on all properties even purchased earlier
In the budget book it is not clarified. Budget will be approved around 27/28 of june and notification will be issued on 1 july. I think the new rates of CGT will apply on all properties even if purchased earlier.

When a person sells his property then he pays tax and when he buys another property then he pays tax, in this case he will be a looser, and will not be able to sell and buy what he wants. As such sale and purchase of property will give rise to price of property and is likely to bring stop trade.

Who determines the value of property and how? Pl clarify. Is it the market or the FBR or the DC. From where do they collect the data. How about classification of land, for instance rural land around cities like Islamabad.
For the purpose of Federal taxes the FBR determines the value of lands while for provincial taxes the DC determines the same.

This new CGT is only imposed on ghair manqola property,immoveable property which is non transferable like plot files and flats and shops sold by builders before their transferable status,it is not imposed on transferable properties,and it will be imposed on immoveable properties bought after 1st july 2024!
Ji Shah Sahab you are right. CGT is not applicable on gold or money or anything moveable, but CGT is applicable on every common person and not only on builders. Ut is not something new. It was applicable in the previous tears but with different tax rates. Now the tax rates have been modified along with modalities.
@@WakeelNama Sir,which i understood,is that new tax slab 15% on filer and 45% on non filer is only applicable on non transferable properties like plot files,flats and houses sold by big builders before their transferable status being activated for example before their possession,otherwise there is no change of CGT on transferable properties like with possession? Respected brother, three tax slabs are mentioned in the video, one regarding property worth 0 to 5 crore, one between 5crore and 10crore and the third category is regarding property that worths more than 10 crore. FBR taxes are always charged at the rates fixed by FBR. Provincial taxes are charged at the DC rates.

If you have one flat in your name, are you exempted from paying tax. Exemption has been removed or still in place.
That exemption is only for tax on deem income under section 7E of Income Tax ordinance. Rest of the taxes will be paid by him like, advance withholding tax, capital gain tax (if applicable) , other provincial taxes and committee tax

No, they need not to become filer as still they will have to pay only 2% advance tax
