- Assetto Corsa on console is A LOT better than I thought. Having previously heard relatively bad things about the game and its performance on xbox and playstation systems, I didn’t expect anything more than a bad looking game with mediocre performance, but that really wasn’t the case.

If you want to buy this game I would recommend buying the ultimate edition. It’s often on sale and just soo much more worth it than the regular edition

The latest update on series x for ACC, while very buggy has really improved how my CSL Elite feels and being able to adjust the FOV is a godsend.
Recommended it at £7 for Ultimate edition including the DLC to a colleague who plays F12021. They struggled to keep the car on the track. Massive learning curve if coming from an F1 game, but worth it.

I got this for my kid, using an old PS4 and a cheap $200 T15 wheel. I actually thinks it drives better in AC than my fancy i9-10900k/RTX 2080ti system with an $800 TS-XW + $300 loadcell pedals. I was stunned at how great it drives and looks. Got the Ultimate Edition for only $9, which is nuts.

no other game I saw progressed so much actually. When I bought it first screen was tearing, choppy frame rate. then slowly but surely Kunos optimized game, and added lots of new content: cars and tracks, PS4 pro boost mode feature came on time and game runs silky smooth at 60 fps on 4k screens. you can even use an app on phone for telemetry, gas/ brakes, rev indicator, gear all working great. Force feedback if you play it with decent wheel is bar none, pedals and shifter adds to immersion. I couldn't go back to lousy force feedback and non existing, not properly working clutch on GT sport

Thank you for this video. I'm actually downloading it as I write. I wasn't too sure about it like you said but, since I'm not at the expert level I've win a couple on ACC which surprised me. Lots of practice, practice, practice. I love this game/real life sim. Especially in vr. A whole different ball game. Once again thank you for sharing. Cheers mate.
I tried getting into this game because I heard of the awesome modding community, but the amount of begging and leeching going on there - mods locked behind paywalls, sites with paid registration options, etc - ruined it.

Assetto pirate forum is what you are looking for. I payd for a lot of mods (RSS,VRC,URD) but i don't want to pay for everything without trying.

Thanks for this video. I have a G29, PS5 and play mostly Gran Turismo, should be good to get the full Sim experience. I like the idea of open world casual cruises but with realistic Sim physics. Got Project Cars 2, Dirt and ACC, but don't play them too much, want to though as I hear good things

I played it on controller years ago, definitely not the right way to do it but anything you drive on controller is impossible. But hopefully i can give it a second go with my rig when its done in a few months
Agree that it’s a really good game on console. I bought the Ultimate Pack on sale. Really enjoy setting up a race weekend against the AI, but I do miss all the downloads.
No, it's not a good game on console. I played this game once and I hated it. The driving mechanics are an epic fail!! No seriously, idk why people would even call this the best racing sim (of even a sim for that matter).

Footage that you captured is very colorful somehow, saturated colors look very good, which is not a case with actual game however where it look somewhat pale compare to what we set in this video

I had Asstto Corsa on PC over 5 years ago. Now I stopped upgrading my obsolete PC and just picked up ACC on Series X... Absolutely beautiful sim, incredible force feedback and realistic car physics! Impressive is an understatement, and its supposed to get a 4K upgrade on 2-22-2022.
Oh man wait till the 22nd and the 1.8 update!! Holy smokes. Just got ACC on PC after playing it on PS 4Pro/5! Man what a difference 400hz makes over 333! The 4K update will be nice. FRS makes a 50% difference in FPS on my 2080 Super! But the Real Upgrades come to the Physics and Tyre Models!! Happy for you to try it.. and GT7 what a time to be a racing Gamer! Not to mention on the 14th Fanatec releases more DD PRO Pre Orders. And hopefully I finally get DD!! Have a great day!

Assetto Corsa's physics are NOT realistic, they're the exact opposite. And don't call this a beautiful sim and start saying you speaking facts.

The problem that I’m having with AC on Xbox one S, and the only problem is that the steering angle is VERY off using a g920.
Most of the Lamborghinis (usually road legal cars) have inaccurate steering angle to your real wheel. It also happens with a lot of other cars.

You have to set the steering angle to 900 in the in-game settings. That way the game will automatically adjust the angle according to the car you're using.

As someone who’s playing this on console, if you have a wheel, Even on a g920 this game feels great.
If you’re like me and get sick of forza / car X and want to drift, this game is more satisfying in my opinion but you get very little cars to use. Definitely worth buying all the packs as well.

@@dr.d00f there’s only 2 maps that most people use to cruise around on. It’s not an open world game. It’s basically a better forza Motorsport if you’ve played that. You can freely drive around with no timer on any track but again there isn’t any wide open massive maps. It’s a racing simulator..

I liked AC on ps4 so much that i bought a gaming laptop (hooked up to a projector) just for AC, so i can enjoy all the mods (graphics boost, cars and tracks).
I have the Ultimate Edition on PS4. I also drive using a controller (no space or $$$ for a wheel). My enjoyment of the game is entirely limited by the controller. Unlike Gran Turismo 7, AC is not optimised for controller use, and so unless you have a decent wheel, you can't get the maximum out of what the game has to offer. Keeping it on the track is extremely difficult, let alone being able to explore the superior tyre model and complex physics.
I get to 'taste' how good it is every now and again when I string some corners together, but it deserves a proper wheel set up. I will revisit the game if/when I get that decent wheel.
I used a controller for years and thought it was fine. Not playable on default settings though, had to change the controls to use the right stick as gas/brake and triggers to shift.
@ajrchar0 like matt said, it plays fine with a controller, I played for years with it, bought a wheel and now I'm back to using a controller - due to time and space constraints. Honestly I'm faster now with a controller than I was with a wheel, but that's because I learned how to drive better. Would be interested to see how I do with a wheel again but the controller is fine

Playing this on PS5 with a T300RS the force feedback feels much stronger than it does on ACC.

On PS there's almost no peoper sim racing title(I don't count GTS in because call it a sim without fov adjustment will be funny)

True, AC is really good on my PS5. Coming from PS4 graphics are evel better. AC is the one I played when I had issues with ACC. Did you know about 1.8 console update? 29/9/2022 Many of us are waiting patiently with building excitement. We all have only 9 days left till the major release what will change ACC gameplay a lot.
I’m from London UK and have been racing AC and ACC on PS4 and PS5. I’ve raced over 1000+ hours on AC and over 1000+hrs on ACC PS4 version. Now building up big time on PS5. Joined a league, 10TENTH RACING COMMUNITY, fantastic! True addict, aren’t you? Since release of ACC I had many serious problems with the game. And with every new update, with release of PS5 console, with new ACC console version I have felt a lot of new optimistic expectations followed by disappointment and a letdown from game developers. I’ve been lucky to always have a good FFB on my T300 Ferrari Alcantara edition and now DD1, but there were other problems what took a lot of nerve and patience. It’s hard to remember all the issues but there are few what stand out to me. For example not able to join multiplayer and the proposed fix was to delete my carefully selected 300 racing friends from AC and ACC. Of course I refused to do that and kept waiting till issue was fixed. That was a big wait but I used time to practice my racing in single player. Another problem is crashing Career. It crashed on three occasions trying to complete career endurance race of 3hours non stop racing. It crashed twice somewhere in last leg. Other day I completed the race, crossed finish line and while checking lap times game crashed not saving my career endurance progress. I was fuming! Another issue we all experienced was game simply crashing midrace, it happened a lot. So annoying and was makings me really angry when I had a good race. Then replay save crash needs to be looked at. Even now after all possible updates on PS5 software and ACC PS5 version updates I am experiencing game crashes, some DD1 disconnects, poor visuals as shading under cars, cars flickering. Other minor game bugs - Pit entrance notice issue, not able to use mapped buttons to look left/right as I can on AC version, no in cockpit turn indicators and headlighs LED’s. Sound issues after watching replay and rejoining track. One occation I had cockpit view flickering in career race, there was no flickering from outside view. Many gamers have poor FFB and other issues with game. The most major is game crashing and disconnects while racing leagues Championships. Over 2 years time since ACC console release game is not in a perfect state yet, but it’s playable and enjoyable. I wish there was more communication and a HELPING HAND between Kunos and UntoldGames who develops console version now. I wish thee was more communication from 505games what is distributor’s of console ACC. And I believe we console players deserve an APOLOGY from 505 games and Kunos for a big letdown because I believe game is not completed, it’s got many problems and is like in a beta version. We PS5 players are lucky to have both versions available to play side by side on PS5. I switch between PS5 and PS4 version because PS5 lobbies has small attendance numbers.
With 1.8 version PS5 and Xbox UntoldGames has to nail it. No excuses, it has to be perfection. Watching official Kunos ytube channel I learned Marcos, Aris and team still have that passion, they put a lot of effort developing PC 1.8 version what is a massive overhaul of ACC what changed already great game to something fascinating and they are proud of it. Would be shame if UntoldGames would do a poor job with console 1.8 version and drop all that KUNOS effort down in a mud. We don’t know what to expect precisely, announcement stated upgraded tyre model and 400hz + different liveries? We will see. Researching PC 1.8 update, numerous patch notes and reviews I learned about UPDATED rain visuals, rain tyre handling, rain track limits, cars BOP’s, reworked replay camera angles, mist and dew conditions, there is so much more. PC 1.8 version is always updated. So which 1.8 version + latest update we console gamers will receive is not known yet. But it will change the game for sure.
I’m really enjoying AC on ps5 since I bought it a couple of days ago. I really like it as much as ACC now. I have decent pace but I struggle to find much information online. Is tire pressure a thing on AC? No aggressive setups? At the moment I’m just enjoying every car with the stock setups. Oh and yea I’m really looking forward to the 1.8 update coming out next week.

This series and Assetto Corsa Competizione is so difficult with a game pad. I deleted them off my PS4 Pro after many months of trying with a controller.
Also, single player experience is weak in both. In my opinion.

I first started playing this game on pc and it’s great and feels realistic af,but just tried it on Xbox with the wheel and all assist off and it feels like im playing forza and feels a lot more Arcady and I hate it ,race cars get a unrealistic amount of grip and drift cars feel way too slippery like I’m constantly driving in the rain which makes it too easy but also messes me up due to miss judgement causing me to mess up also the cars feel like their floating as well

Its a mod, on PC only. There are tons of mods for AC on PC that can really change the way you can play. Just search some mods up here on RUclips.

The only downside is the lack of tracks and cars. Otherwise that’s it.
Is it effected by Right stick stick drift?, I can only play Forza without being bothered by stick drift(unless I’m upgrading stuff than it moves the screen up but only minor)

Grant Turismo Sport and GT7 (and that's just about it).
Not very many decent ones out there for console. For PS4, other than this, I would recommend Project Cars 1 & 2. Gran Turismo 7. Gran Turismo Sport is about to get the server shut down at the end of April, so it will be unplayable.
- Project Cars 2 would be really good, but sometimes the physics aren't that great. There's a well known problem with spinning out too easily on that game.
- Gran Turismo 7 is just okay in my opinion. Still needs a lot of work.
Flat-out racing is much more exciting than track racing.

Anyone getting problems with crashing when loading the server list? This started 2 hours ago, on Xbox One. I restarted, reinstalled and it still happened so I think there is something happening to the servers.

AC is great if you on console and its sad it didnt get much love. Ive been a huge fan of it on PC since it came out and I cant wait for AC2. It will essentially be a more hardcore Gran Turismo with a ton of cars and tracks as expected band will truly be a next gen title with the graphics and physics. GT7 was a quick turn and burn scam with 99% of it being GT:Sport that was repackaged, resoldfor $70, with worst forms of Gatekeeping, Fomo, and little fucks given that Ive ever seen. I mean holy shit, Polyphony had 6+ years to make GT7 and its comically fucked up how shameless they were about everything and the zero amount of work put into the title over that entire 6 years that fans were waiting for. and sold back to fans at full retail price and all the marketing was purposely misleading, shady, actually be a true next gen title

I have a ps5, but you are really limited in gear and game selection, that’s why I’m going to pc now.
The positive about console gaming is its just plug and play both games and gear.
I know you don't use the T248 often, but have you found like a "sweet spot" for settings for it? Just picked it up, and there's very little info since it's so new. If you don't have any info to give I understand tho lol I mean on the wheel itself, and the wheel settings, not in game of course
Unfortunately not since I haven’t spent too much time exclusively playing with it. That being said, I have noted that as a potential future video idea. Do you happen to be using it on PC?

@@OCRacing Also have a question for you. Does your T248 have an issue of bouncing back and forth due to the FFB? With mine, in all games, if I pull the wheel one direction quickly and let go, it'll bounce back and forth forever until I stop it. Part of why I asked my original question, as I assume that can be tuned out. Just haven't found the right settings yet myself
