i really love how her low voice vibrates when she hits the notes "...clarity". And boy, that power when she hits "if our love..." Superb :)
This version of the song (the cover I mean) sounds much better. It is just so clear and relaxed. I feel like in this version you can actually just picture the meaning of the words and have like a movie in your head while you listen to it. Meanwhile, with the original version, I did not feel the same way at all.
This is very late, but if you haven't already... Check out the Union mix of clarity! Much more emotional and beautiful!
Actually, Alex J, that means that this cover failed to capture the meaning of the lyrics. The song is supposed to be about being confused and anxious over a romance that shouldn't be working out. The lyrics literally say, "If our love is tragedy, why are you my remedy? If our love's insanity, then why are you my clarity?" Saying that a cover of this is "clear" or "relaxed" means that the song has been completely changed and the original intent has been lost.

I have heard SO many versions of this song but oh my god, they're all amazing! I couldn't choose a favourite, it's one of those songs that you just can't not love! It's amazing!
When I watch her perform on Glee, I was blown away and I almost cried. The New Directions really got lucky.

i think foxes gives an innocent feeling of romance when she sings this, while jessica sanchez gives the impression of a power struggle in a romance, maybe due to her powerful voice and the great backup singers. both of them are great nonetheless

Great cover of the song! Totally wasn't expecting this, clarity has been one of my favorites since the album was released and I'm so glad that it is getting this exposure exposure especially now that EDM is one of the leading forces in all songs radio.
Her voice is amazing, dude. So much power out of such a small package. They did such a good job on this song. Definitely my new favorite :)

I dont think its a matter of which is better, but which one you like better. The original is soft and sweet and clear, while this one is more powerful and emotional. I love them both, this one a bit more, and I listen to either depending on my mood. :) Either way, Glee's cover was VERY amazingly done.
I don't think Glee makes covers better than the original... But it can make some just as good. And this is one of them!

When I heard that the Hoosier Daddies (I think that was their name) lost to New Directions when they had HER on lead vocals, I just couldn't take it seriously. I mean, seriously? She fucking rocked this song, and I'm sure the other two songs the groups sang but weren't included in the episode were amazing as well. Let's face it, New Directions should have lost to them. This girl's voice is breath taking.

just downloaded this version. JS gave justice to this song. one of the great talents from the idol..she really deserved to be in the top 2...this song is so classy like her songs in her debut album ME, YOU AND THE MUSIC. if you haven't got a copy of her album, do get one, worth the price.

You may be right about that but if we're talking about the quality of performance and song choice this group wiped the floor with ND. The choreographer was amazing and the songs were amazing and heart pounded fun. And Jessica's voice is amazing. She's the lead just like Rachel was.
