- LIVE COURT CAM: MA v. #KarenRead - DAY 11 - Testimony continues in the murder trial of Karen Read. Read is accused of murdering her boyfriend, Boston Police Officer John O’Keefe, whose body was found in the snow outside of another Boston officer’s home in Canton, Massachusetts.
Prosecutors allege Read hit O’Keefe with her car and left him to die in the snow. But Read’s defense team says she never hurt O’Keefe and that she is being framed by the true killers, who may have been inside the house where his body was found.

I don't see how each witness can be trusted to not disscuss the case amongst themselves outside of the courtroom when many are family to one another or close friends

Did you mean discuss rather than disscuss? The jurors are not allowed to discuss the case. There is nothing to stop the witnesses from discussing the case. Haven't you watched trials before. Judges only remind the jurors not to discuss the case or view anything about the case.

Very interesting how Caitlin always looked 👀 to the prosecution team for an objection. No effort to answer. She’d look, they’d object and of course the judge ALWAYS sustains it. She’s laughing on top of that, but how does she expect the Lawyers to put on a case, when she’s not allowing them to even ask a question!!!! I’m beyond furious with this circus! And if I was anyone involved in this case, I’d have her removed immediately and ask for this case to be dismissed! Pure and simple if Karen Read is convicted, she has MORE THAN ENOUGH to get a appeal and have this overturned due to the lack of Judgment in this case

Man Ms. Nagel’s demeanor is cold as hell. If I realized I saw a man dying in the snow I’d feel so much guilt. She seems to care less.

I am sorry to be mean to someone I do not even know, but by God Tristan seems to be overwhelmed by any abstract logic thought. He seems to know car models better than the others though.
And amazingly he is the only member of that posse, who heard his phone during the night, like the majority of people on the globe in the smartphone era.
Tristan seems like he knows exactly what he is doing. Which is not being intimidated by the defense. He is answering the questions and not being vulnerable to the defense attorneys trickery.

Sarah Levinson seems drugged, her reaction and answers are very slow. Not very sharp for being a nurse.
Well Sarah is soooooo hostile with the defenders team. Thought she was nice and so convincing during prosecution as sounded sincere. Her complete switch in personality is alarming and now I’m adamant she is lying.

So in yesterday’s testimony she stated, “I made plans to stay the night with my parents” since it’s my brother’s birthday, and made out like she rode with her parents from the bar since her boyfriend had to go home and get up so early, due to snow plowing, but today magically !!!!!!! Now all of a sudden, she’s dying to get her boyfriend to come pick her up at 145 am the same night and time of this incident, ugh hello fishy!!! now she’s also aware that the snow is bad and he’s sleeping!!! Someone else see the problem with this????? 😮 I’m just amazed at the lack of decency in this so called group of people, that claim to be such great up standing citizens, who do no wrong! It’s such a disgrace, and these cops should all be fired immediately for the simple fact, they are drunks who drink and drive, and have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA HOW TO INVESTIGATE A CRIME SCENE, but seem to have no problem committing perjury on the stand, lying to cover their own asses, not protecting a fellow officer (That I must say) is 10 times the man anyone of these so called officers have in a finger,they should all quit, but they need fired and held accountable at once!
And John’s mom and dad seem so sweet and caring, and you can see the hurt on their faces, I just hope they can see past the lies, and that they can get justice for John’s death, I would have a hard time believing one thing these cops are doing or saying at this point! These people are definitely not doing well on the stand. There's definitely a clear indication that the entire family has been treated differently. Bias and or prejudice for the consideration of lack of eye witness statements and questioning by investigators prior to them taking the stand. It's gross.
The fact most eveeyone who was asked about how they drove in the snow said, "cautiously, 10 and 2." Maybe they should have decided who was using that phrase, instead of all of them, so it didn't sound so rehearsed.
Oh my goodness! I was just thinking the same thing. I heard a couple of other odd things they would say alike that people don't normally say. You can tell they all rehearsed the story well before their testimony.

I haven’t missed one minute, I think that the defense is doing a terrible job, almost every time they ask a question it is objected, and the judge has sustained! The defense have asked several questions over and over again as a confusing tactic, I also think the police did a terrible job as well, but I do believe that Karen hit John with her car, she found out about a month before that he was cheating on her and they had been fighting ever since & she had just enough to drink to hit him and go home and go to bed and then at 4 AM She realized what she had done,.. it’s the reason why she admitted to hitting him more than once and saying that it was her fault that this happened!! I honestly believe that it will be a hung jury and possibly another trial and she’ll get off just like Casey Anthony did because of reasonable doubt.. strictly my opinion of course but I don’t trust Karen, she’s sitting there, smiling and laughing day after day. Karma will be served one way or another.
That’s what I believe to. And I know that I’ve backhanded someone twice my size who sat in my passenger seat before and they had a black eye and looked like they went a round with Mike Tyson. I believe she could’ve done that extent of injury to John.
But the one lady that commented about how Chloe wouldn’t have been able to claw through John’s clothing. This is true. Couldn’t Karen have cut him while fighting in the SUV bc they both had cocktail glasses in the car?

There would not be a outline of teeth like a human bite. Dogs bite usually with canines an pull. The human puts up arm to shield face. Dog grabs hold. Human is pulling arm away also. So...long slashes. Many youtube lawyer channels are covering this and have had dog experts, trainers of police dogs, and they all say the arm looks like animal bites. Repeated grabs by the dog. Not like a human nails scratch at all. Dog def was involved but then conveniently given away OUT OF STATE. And basement was "remodeled" couple months after also. So, I believe John came in contact with dog an was gonna hurt it tryin to get off or maybe he killed the dog or shot it....then Brian A went whacko an Higgins an Collin joined in beating John to death or near death an left him out there or put him out there. Then he also froze.
This trial is FULL of an Unbelieveable amount of Doubt!! Nothing here is “Reasonable!!”

There’s enough reasonable doubt. She’s overcharged.. The police should’ve gone in the house to try obtain any evidence that John was in the house. They could’ve found blood droppings, fingerprints on a glass or doorknob or wall or anything that could show he was in the home and possibly had an altercation with someone at BA jr’s BD party. Police hopefully obtained maybe some glass in the SUV to show maybe there was a fight in the vehicle and she backhanded John with her fist
I’m pretty SURE the police collected NOTHING of ANY use- except red Solo cups. 😮 New to Police and evidence work? Never had a crime scene in the Snow? In Massachusetts ? During 25 years?? And you use a LEAF Blower?? And don’t cordon off the scene? And don’t have a real investigation? And ask some questions w the witnesses all together?Top to bottom, lies and coverup! It’s too bad they poor man didn’t die on a neighbors front lawn.

Even the judge had to intervene to say basically Please Stop describing the inside of the House! LaLLY is disorganized, unprepared, and clearly LaLLY has lost the attention of the jury! He’s worthless. He does not even speak like an attorney nor does he question or professionally articulate questions as a prosecutor!
Out of all the crazy stuff in this trial the most horrendous aspect is the prosecutor's judge. She could at least fake being unbiased. This trial will he overturned if Mrs Read is found guilty.

After seeing the video of the steps going out of the basement to the outside.....Im betting they found his shoe under them stairs!!

Is there an accident reconstruction video? I’m in Australia, and maybe my analysis isn’t correct but maybe since there is eye witness accounts of a black SUV which they saw “first seen near mailbox and later seen near flagpole “ my question is, did they see a car facing towards the driveway or it’s tail towards the driveway? The broken taillight is on the right side of the car. How is it possible that his body is found on the front yard and not on the road? Is there a blood trail from the road? Did KR reverse over the kerb to hit JO? I think defence should work on a possible scenarios that shows it’ll be nearly impossible to hit someone with the right taillight if the car is facing the letterbox because the broken taillight will be on the right side. If facing the other way though, JO’s body would have been found near the letterbox and not the flagpole.

There’s nothing wrong with your analysis. Federal investigators hired a professional reconstructionist who determined his injuries and the damage to the vehicle were inconsistent. The car didn’t hit him and he wasn’t hit by a car. There is also video of when and where her taillight was damaged, and it was hours after they claim she hit him.

The boyfriend was the best prepared witness I've seen yet. He gave what information he had to and not a single syllable more. He didn't give them the leeway or advantage of divulging unnecessary information in attempt to fight the wording of the questions. Except for claiming ignorance for how time works, he answered yes/no and didn't give clarifications to make an argument, consequentially perjuring himself. "Yes, I'm close with the family," looks a lot less sketchy than, "Well, I wouldn't say 'close' but I spent time with them over holidays, get togethers, and on vacations, but not necessarily close."

I go to a lot of trials and see many who sit where karen sits. They you can listen to watch and hear their attorney speak and read between the lines and without a doubt 100% know their guilty. None of this seems plausible that she killed her "cop" boyfriend. It's wrong knowing that the department will frame another cop so why not fram a woman who is dating the guy they want taken out.
