U.S. Navy Frogmen are definitely an awesome group of men. They represent a super minute fraction of the active duty navy population. Their lifestyle is no way indicative of what it’s like to be in the Navy. SEAL Operators march to an entirely different drummer. No pun intended. In fact, SEALs don’t mesh well at all with the regular U.S. Navy. They’re worlds apart due to the SEALs’ training and mission.

Post-Marine Corps, I Myself was a Young Sergeant ( E-5) in HHC 3d Ranger Battalion on board the USS Enterprise ( CVN-65) for a Joint Special Operations Exercise ( JSOX) , and, heard the term " NAVSPECWARDEVGRU" , from a SO2 ( E-5) on KP Duty in the Ship's Galley . Until that moment, this Army Ranger had thought that 🦭 Team VI was STILL in existence, but, according to the ST IV Operator, " DEVGRU" had not only changed It's Name, but, really and truly, became a Special Missions Unit( SMU) in It's Own Right, that , to this very Day, I Myself AM in a State of Shock and Awe.

Great vid...I wonder if the guys pictured with Obama are some of the team that executed the bin laden raid...Obama met with the Red Squadron members at Fort Campbell not long after the raid...The operator pictured, standing to the left of Obama, can be seen later in the photo of them wearing the western outfits...In that photo at 2:53 the operator crouching holding the gun is Kevin Houston. A well known member of team 6, that was killed when a Chinhook, with the call sign Extortion 17, was shot down killing all 38 onboard, 23 of which were Navy Seals. Houston wasn't on the bin laden raid, but was a well known member of team 6 and an absolute badass...
As an Australian, who has always had an interest in these special forces soldiers, American special forces, the likes of Seal Team 6 and Delta force, are the true "tip of the spear"... All of them of true heroes and absolute warriors...
