What I really appreciate about this guide is that, as a person who has *NEVER* played the game, this gives not only an overview of a powerset that's for paying players only, but also, it breaks downs the function of *universally* applicable stats and what they do, and what they contribute to you, and your team, as well as what these powers look like. Right now, on youtube, there is no "beginners guide" that works under the assumption a player is *absolutely* uninitiated. Not even the official DCUO channel has videos that detail this stuff. They all seem to opperate under the assumption that the "beginner" is someone who has already spent 500hrs in the game playing something else, and is now looking to just respec into a something new -- rather than a player who has *NEVER* touched the game is trying to understand the game before onboarding themselves. I know this video is old, and you may never see this comment, but thank you.
Why would you not spec into resto and critical healing magnitude as opposed to DPS stuff. And put points into health and dom. Mostly dom. 100 into health and the rest in dom
Did you look at the whole video all those questions you asking me I explained all that in the video. In case you didn’t understand let me explain why I spec like this: 1. Rage healing scales on the amount of damage you do. So critical healing will not do anything for rage. 2. Restoration does not help with rage healing. 3. In the video I said put the rest of skill points in dominance. As it’s a beginner’s build I mentioned that as you progress you get to 100 sp in dominance and then put 100 into health. After you get 100 in health, you go back to adding sp in dominance. The reason why I said spec in dominance is because your health scales based on the amt of dominance you have. The more dominance, the higher your health. Also I said, dominance also increases shield strength. 4. When I demonstrated the loadout I showed how rage is able to heal by using rage bringer and the 360 pull. Those two moves do damage so you heal yourself based on the amount of damage you do. If you were to increase the damage dealt this will also increase healing recovery. Any more questions feel free to ask.
A lot of players spec into restoration and critical healing with rage, they spec wrong. You only put sp into restoration unless you have maxed out dominance and health. Restoration will help increase shield strength and it increases healing only if you use the mystic symbol of the seven artifact. Rage battle tanks will always do more healing as compared to regular tanking. Look at the score board of this battle tank video you’ll see the amount of healing a rage battle tank do is just crazy. The rage tank was able to out-heal me as a healer. DCUO Rage Battle Tank Deals Insane Damage with the Red Tornado Redistribution Module Artifact ruclips.net/video/qXApUWAceWE/видео.html
Great guide. I never could get the hang of "properly " rage tanking. I always skipped the rage crash stuff and just depended on the heal from damage, health buff and shield rotation. Lazarus water glod art helps in a pinch but i personal couldn't bring myself to rank it up since it only active when yoh die i thought of it as not necessary. Rather pay more attention to arts thatll help me actually servive over ranking an art thatll only work once i die. Ive ran with tanks that have had it and i dont rush to puck them up seeing how they're in a middle of 20 ads but they complain saying they didn't want to use the art on an easy pickup. So its kind of a double edge sword
Thanks I appreciate your feedback. I will be covering most of the tank powers. I will be making some guides to help those that are new to Dcuo or returning to Dcuo.
The redirect rage u see arm is where it's at, you start hit chain when cooldown reached and touched black line of arm kinda like clock tick tockin timings, u wont get rage crash.
I have an ice tank( in the past fire) and....for me its a bit bored. The question is which is more funny ?and Which one needs the healer the least? Rage or atomic
Based on my experience playing with rage versus atomic, with rage I require less heals from the healer. Atomic tanks get interrupted a lot when performing combos and their density shield is very weak. Not having a shield and unable to do your combos to heal and protect yourself makes you more vulnerable to taking damage, thus the healer will have to heal you more often.
Of all the guides that kept quiet enough to hear the audio que for Severe Punishment... You didn't have game audio going. Why is it so hard to find someone just give a raw audio of severe punishment so I KNOW what to listen to?
They supposed to release a new tank artifact with the new episode 47, but since the artifact was too op they didn’t release it. Also we haven’t gotten any new allies for tanking atm.
No problem if you want to have a better understanding of how all the tank artifact works, check out this video here Dcuo All 9 Tank Artifacts Tested and Ranked 2023 ruclips.net/video/RWSyb9GQl_w/видео.html
Kasmanian what you smoking. You trolling bro. You definitely didn’t look at the video because he showed how to use all the powers plus he explained how all the powers work 🤦♂️ you’re one of those kids I see.
@markwilliams385 not true. What's the rotation? Pull, shield, and then what? He said don't block. If I'm not using the lasso all the time, isn't that a waste of a skill point? He showed what each power did, but not how to use them in action.
@@KasmanianDevil44601 He didn’t showed actual gameplay in raid, I guess he didn’t want a long video, anyways his load out is pretty solid. I been tanking with rage since the power was released, most tanks use this load out. The lasso is switched with rage bringer only if you have to separate bosses. He showed how to cancel rage crash that’s very important as most tanks don’t understand how it works. He explained the buffs you get from your using redirected rage shield, most rage tanks don’t even know this. He showed a lot too much for me to write, it would be an essay lol. @@KasmanianDevil44601Also with tank powers you don’t really have a rotation, it’s not a dps power. You use your powers in your load out depending on what you tank. Only the rage crash part a little complicated, but he explained that perfectly.
@markwilliams385 I just switched to Rage. Only tanked with ice, which was pull and block. Since we're using shields, why not regenerating shields instead of max damage in hands?

Cover atomic next please 😊

Rage that max dominance over health is better ?
You got enough time capsules?
How do you get more skill points?
Use a attack at about 7 o'clock with redirected rage to avoid rage crash chain pull etc

Why don’t you use the special powers?
Overall tanking , what do you think is better? Rage or fire if u had to choose
Both is good but I prefer fire. My main is fire since day 1 and I love it. Fire is a fun power, especially fire battle tanking.
Fire is really good but requires higher skill points. Rage is low sp and low artifact friendly

Look at the cooldown. When it is about halfway cancel the rage crash. You don’t need any audio.
You can also use another ability and mitigate the damage, I don't even worry about Rage Crash
is there any new artifacts that i should use and what about allies

I swear i can have a Trini accent
Great Guide
What else can I use besides LPW? I’d rather use an art that works while I’m alive
You can use everyman prototype also if you want.
