      Dr Paul Mason also mentions that a lot of fish oil supplements are rancid and people don't know because the gel caps prevents people from smelling it. Fish oil needs to be kept refrigerated from the time of manufacture to its shipping and sale, if not it can become easily rancid. That's why it's better to eat fatty fish because you can easily smell if the fish is rancid. He also mentions that a lot of olive and avocado oil are adulterated with cheaper seed oils. You need to have trustworthy sources to make sure that they are what they claim

    I see A-Fib all day long. In a majority of patients going into AF , the left atrium is enlarged. Most often from hypertension. Most hypertension arises from metabolic syndrome and obesity. I suspect a large number of these patients were primed for AF by poor lifestyle.

      I AM 68 year old female diagnosed with A-Fib. Have low blood pressure, no other health risk factors, normal BMI, and have been very low carb for decades and carnivore more recently. No one can tell me why/how I got A-Fib. Any ideas?

    • @ThePythonicCow
      @ThePythonicCow Месяц назад

      @@desertfox4556 My guess is that the most likely cause of A-Fib w/o other serious cardio-vascular issues would involve minerals - low levels of at least one of the essential minerals, whether of one or another of the major minerals (sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, sulfur, ... and all the key nutrients such as D3/K2 needed to metabolize one or another mineral) and/or low levels of any of the dozens of trace minerals. Alternatively, a toxin such as fluoride blocking iodine, could mimic a deficiency in that mineral. My second guess would be that increasing numbers of Americans and those on similar diets are somewhat deficient in BOTH the Omega 3's and some of the minerals, and those people are at increased risk of more serious cardio-vascular symptoms. Those with good Omega 3 levels, but low in one or more of the (many) essential minerals might (1) get A-Fib from the less robust, less finely tuned, electrical activity of some heart related tissue, but (2) not get any more serious symptoms because their Omega-3 rich cardio tissues can handle a bit of A-Fib now and then.

    I think we are supposed to be taking wild Norwegian cod liver oil a daily basis, just like Depression babies were given in their childhood. Although I already have my daily dose of 5000 IU of vitamin D derived from cod liver oil, since I quit a lesser quality Omega 3 supplement, I am seriously considering adding a daily teaspoon of Carlson brand wild Norwegian cod liver oil, without approaching anything even close to a toxic dose of fish liver oil. It will be an experiment. I have no family history of heart disease, and my mother is quite healthy at age 94.

    There’s a big difference between correlation and causality, similar to LDL and CVD. Unless the person kept a daily diet journal, the likelihood of reliability in reporting is very low. How many of these people ate carbs, starches, grains, and seed oils? A big issue is listening to mainstream media.

    Address IR, eat real food. After that supplements can be a useful tool. I wish I knew that 20, 30 and more years ago. But thank God I have today and can plan tomorrow.
    Fish oil will also lubricate the skin if you take enough. I lived in the Arctic. At 40 below zero the air is so dry over a short period your fingers will crack deeply and bleed. Folks use lots of skin moisturizers. I took 4-6 capsules aday and my skin did not crack. (It can be painful).

      First, measuring when you first wake up is a waste of time... mainly because of the dawn effect....unless that is what you are measuring. It is also very subjective based on what and when you ate the night before and the quality of sleep you had. Your body will produce the glucose it thinks it needs, but you did not say what kind of food you eat. What was your measurements throughout the day?

      @@JimWooddell I’m carnivore and I’ve never checked my glucose before except when the doctor ordered labs. Today was the first day I took my own and I’ve always been low when I go to labs. 44-68. Usually around 64 as an average. So I was just curious about why the first time I took it it would be high. I’m grateful for your help so thank you for letting me know to research the dawn effect.

    Eat a can of sardines & do yoga stretches every day, plus do weightlifting, sprints & 20 mins in the sauna every other day & volunteer weekly (in a social setting) so on your 100th birthday, your mobility & cognitive will be like you're only age 50! Also, the trial was flawed, omega 3 fish oil is very good for you

    Wow I could not follow this rambling discussion at all; can you tighten your delivery so it can be followed easily? I watched three times and am still unsure what you recommend.
