When I saw the patch notes I thought to myself could this be what I think it is. All other videos I saw just glossed over that change. Thank you for this. Using super as an AA is probably the only high level skill I have and it would get stuffed so damn often. Considering the angle just screams AA I just thought I was reacting too slow, skill issue. This is the buff I am most happy about.
I would experiment with light and medium yoga blast as well. There was a time when I went in practice mode and it helps against those close jump ins. Unfortunately you have to be really anticipating it though.
yeah but he's showing you that back medium punch gets stuffed a lot. so this is an answer to that being stuffed in ambigious jump ins and far reaching jump in attacks. It's also very active so if a player jumps and then does a late dive kick, it won't whiff when you do it too early
Also it's not about this specific setup. It was just the first one I found where Sim didn't have access to an anti air if they jumped. I'm sure there are tons of other applications where the anti air would be too tight for regular normals.
Yeah I agree but it’s better than what we had at first I guess. Ppl love to jump in on Sim and now it’ll be more of a problem. Will we see Sim as a main character in a tournament?…I think if Sim starts winning too much and ppl start complaining, they’ll nerf Sim.
It's about having more way to lock your opponent down in neutral, As we get super bars, we have more tools to tighten it up. Just like once cammy hits lvl3 we can't fireball anymore, us getting lvl1 means they cannot jump anymore

Raw super inputs on AA are so tough to execute, I cannot do them outside of training mode 😅

Might have to do this setup with modern Dhalsim but use EX Yoga blast. I usually wait for jumps but now I can at least set it up. Major damage.
