I can't watch anything from the Napoleonic era anymore without hearing that Sharpe guitar riff
I didn't. I suppose I will do it now haha!
I may have seen this all before. But, when I see another Sharpe video I watch it Immediately. That's my style sir!
Rewatching clips we have already seen, promptly, for that I have written to horse guards and mentioned you conducted yourself and commented most excellently sir!
Major Lenox rewatched with his life! As you'd have done if you had any sense of honor
Damn, In the time since this was uploaded, I could have fired 66 shots in any weather. Now THAT'S soldiering!
Quit showing off, Sharpe.
Better late than never @ashscott6068
That’s your style sir
Being commanded by Sharpe? Now that's soldiering!
This video has 69 likes. Naturally I clicked. That’s my style sah
Major Lennox also expressed a like.
Sharpe: "Chosen men, eh? Well...I didn't choose ye!" 😒
Also Sharpe: "They were _mine!_ I _chose_ them!" 😡
Choosing to keep them made them his.
Being slaughtered in battle and then becoming the Prince Regent? Now that's Fellowes-ing!
So he was there when Richard took the eagle! It wasn't illness! It was royal soldiering!
one of the best episodes, we are all Sharpe in one way or another
I’ve seen the entire show, and it’s insane to think that the duo of sharpe and Harper started with Wellington being saved by Sharpe himself-
I won’t spoil the rest for those who haven’t watched this yet, but trust me, it’s awesome.
Thank you
Just here for the horse at 5:50 banging his head to the beat.
That’s his style, sir.
Now that's bloodeh Soldiering.
Sharpe's rifles. Loved the whole series. Need to buy it from Acorn.
Sometimes I wish it had received a nice fat budget. But other than that... great series.
Was only a Sargent at this time, not a commander, love the series I know every word to ever episode
Did you not hear Wellington say "You are now a Lieutenant in the 95th" and in the books he was promoted to ensign in sharpes triumph but not sure about his rank in sharpes rifles
I really need to watch it all the way through, my pnly experience is the clips on here lol.
You need to find physical box sets or a streaming service.
@@julianaylor4351 They're all on youtube ;) filter by length 20 mintues or longer :)
Amazon will have the boxed set I'm sure
Sharpe is just awesome from start to finish. What they did with a limited budget was quite impressive
I can’t help but wonder what this show with this cast could have looked like with just a little bit of of a budget.
I think there's something special about the low budget look of the show
Sandhurst vs. learning to be an officer in the field. Lol. The more things change, the more they stay the same. It's a nice touch that he never really learns to use a sword effectively, but he never quits either.
The fact his blade is a cav blade has a lot to do with it.
He's a fairly brutal swordsman and that's hard for people to face who are used to one handed saber on foot
Commenting a simmerson “thats my style sir!” quote on sharpe videos…….
Thats soldiering.
Hey, these weren't his first military exploits! Just his first as an officer!
"I dident chose you" Perhaps
" They where mine....I chose them" Well of course!
I just noticed something is the actor for the captain the same for the prince of wales actor?
Same guy. He later won an Oscar for writing Gosford Park, then he created Downton Abbey and The Gilded Age.
Saving a high ranking officer from a group of diaper heads...now that's soldiering!
So every other soldier just stood there😮
So where does one find this series to stream
The DVDs aren't that expensive to buy secondhand.
@@English_lifestyles Picked up the box set off ebay few months back for a fiver
Great series, weird choice of the guitar rift lol.
There is no rank of commander in the British army.
If I were making a video about a current officer, I would say their current or highest held rank. Regardless of what rank is in the clip.
Have you ever heard, of a clip of the day?
So the person running this channel is really sticking with "Commander" Sharpe eh... 🤦
Jerks.
most of important question is : does Sean Bean die in this series?????? he has a bad luck of dying in all characters in movies...
In the first clip half a fucking army are camped on the riverbank and only sharpe goes to defend the CiC.
It was written much better in the book
It's easier to write commander, otherwise you would have to write all Sharpe's ranks in the series. It says commander with a capital C, because it's at the front of a small phrase. Awarded top marks in my English language exam at school, plus my late father taught English and Latin. I don't like nitpicking, over language, that's my style sir.
Or they could just state ‘Sharpe’ like fans have done for decades…rather than using an incorrect term…
@HighlandPhoenix That is nit picking I can admire.
Or use "Officer" Sharpe, since all his ranks are officer ranks... but that would be too complicated.
The ants in my ant farm do better fight choreography.
